A Big Thank You

The past year has been the darkest year in my life. Many times I thought it was the end, I would die, but Jesus brought me through. In November 2017 I was diagnosed with rectal cancer after I had been in severe pain for months. I went in for surgery, a colostomy, but the surgeon botched the procedure and two weeks later I had to go back for another operation, during which some gut content was spilled in my abdomen. This resulted in sepsis. I was rushed into theater for emergency surgery to clean out my abdominal cavity. When I came out of surgery I went into ICU where I lay the next month. I was allergic to the sepsis antibiotic that they gave me and I got seizures. They expected me to die. Around Christmas they informed my wife to let the family know to come and see me before I die. During this time I died twice and was resuscitated. A doctor that was in charge of ICU over the Christmas period suspected that I was allergic to the medication and also determined that some of the monitoring equipment was faulty. She had the equipment calibrated and changed the antibiotics. From that time onward my condition started to improve.

My wife informed some believers about my situation and many were praying for me. At the end of January 2018 I was discharged from hospital in a wheel chair.  I had lost 40 pounds, was weak. I could not even comb my hair. I could not walk. I had open wounds on my stomach and had to carry a vacuum pump with me. My wounds had to be dressed every day. There was no available space in rehab, so my wife took me home and took care of me. A nurse came around to the house to dress the wounds every few days.  In all this time nothing had been done to treat the rectal cancer for which I went into hospital. I had to first  recover    before the cancer could be treated.

After two months I had recovered sufficiently to undergo chemo and radiation. I had 28 treatments, which were extremely painful. Once again I had to recover from the radiation before extensive surgery could be done, to remove the rectum and the cancerous ulcer, remove my gall bladder, and do reconstructive plastic surgery on my rectal area and core that was totally destroyed by all the previous surgeries. That was a 7 hour operation that took place in June 2018. Once again I had to go through painful recovery.

During all this time my wife was by my side, day and night. She nursed me back to life, took care of my wounds, drove me to hospital and back.

I can say with the psalmist in the 23rd psalm: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."  The Lord is my Shepherd. I have felt His rod and His staff. I have experienced His comfort when all hope was gone.

I am much better and still recovering. I still have issues, but I am off the pain medication. I still have wounds that my wife attends to every day, but I am alive.

I thank Jesus for keeping me alive. I thank every brother and sister who prayed for me.  A big THANK YOU to those who financially supported  us and still do.  May Jesus reward and repay you both now and in heaven.

When I was so sick in ICU Jesus spoke to me and said to me that I still have much work to do. During this time of sickness, my wife and I have been blessed to continue our work, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, leading souls to Jesus, even though some days were extremely difficult..

We started on the internet in 2008 and by His grace and mercy we have never stopped. It is our desire to keep witnessing for Jesus and build His kingdom until the end of our lives, no matter what comes against us.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your love, prayers and financial support. What you have done to us, His least servants, you have done to Jesus. Your reward is with Him.

May Jesus bless you much.

The Big Mistake Most Christians Make

Many people hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and they believe, they respond and they accept Jesus Christ, they commit to follow Him for the rest of their lives and they are touched by the power of God. The experience the peace and the joy that Jesus Christ gives to those who accept Him.

Many of them are immediately delivered from addictions and from bondage, from sin. They experience the joy of salvation, but these people do not stay with Jesus Christ, they become religious, they become church members and Bible scholars . They seek the fellowship of other Christians and the acceptance of men and they turn away from Jesus Christ. They do not keep their promise and very soon they go back to their sin. They become entangled again and the end of this people is worse than the beginning because they get into worse sin, they get into worse bondage. It is all because they have turned away from Jesus Christ, they became distracted.

Without Jesus Christ we can do nothing. Without Jesus Christ there is no life, there is no peace, there is no hope. These people lose Jesus Christ, they become slaves to sin again and then when they want to turn back to Jesus satan starts preaching to them, starts quoting them Bible verses. The devil tells them that Jesus Christ doesn't want them any more, that they have overstepped the mark, he quotes them passages like Hebrews 6:4 onwards:"For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. 7For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; 8but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned."

If we turn away from Jesus Christ and if we are fruitless then we are close to being cursed, close to being burned, but we have to go back to Jesus Christ. We have to repent and turn away from our wicked ways. Most Christians never turn back, They continue in their wicked ways and many of them try to justify their sin with Bible verses. They believe that once saved is always saved. But Jesus Christ said that if we do not bear good fruit we will get cut off and burned. Do not let the devil lie to you and prevent you from going back to Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is our only hope for eternal life. There is also no such thing as "once saved always saved." It is only those who endure with Jesus Christ and stay with Him , who follow Him until the very end, it is only they who will be saved. We need His fellowship, we need His approval, not the approval of other people, not the acceptance of other Christians. We need to be pleasing to Jesus Christ. we need to follow Him, obey Him and stay with Him until the very end.

If you have fallen away from Jesus Christ, if you are backslidden, if you have gone back to your previous lifestyle, to sin, REPENT, get back to Jesus Christ and live your life to please Him, SIN NO MORE and Jesus Christ will accept you. Bear fruit in keeping with repentance and you will experience His fellowship and His approval. Get back to Jesus, don't wait!

May Jesus bless you.
