Jesus Christ is not far away

Jesus Christ is not far away. He is close to us, by us, but many people do not know that, because they do not see, Him because they never met Him.

Jesus spoke to His disciples, as we read in John 16:18, He said:"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19“After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. 20“In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

That is why those who love and obey Jesus Christ, they know Him. They will SEE Him. They will know that He is in the Father, and the Father is in Him, and He is in them, because they are a temple of the Holy Spirit.

We read further in verse 22 "Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?” 23Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. 24“He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me."

If we love Jesus, we will obey His words, His commands, the words He spoke, as also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; and then Jesus will come and live in us. We are a temple of the Holy Spirit. He will disclose Himself to us and we will SEE Him. We will HEAR Him. His sheep HEAR His voice, they listen to Him and they follow Him, they know Him. They know He is not far away. He is near , even IN them.

If you love Jesus and you obey Him, He will come and dwell in you and you will know Him for real. Many professing Christians believe that Jesus is far away. It is because they do not know Him, they are just religious.

If you obey Jesus, repent and be baptized in water, and be filled with the Holy Spirit, then Christ will dwell in you. You will HEAR His voice and you will know Him for real. You will know that He is not far away, because He will be living in you.

Far from God

God is always close to us, He has always been with us. He gives us the SPIRIT that keeps us alive. God is SPIRIT and even though God is almighty and He is with us He does not intrude on us and He does not force us.

Jesus is knocking at the door of every heart, wanting to come in, to be WITH us, to be IN US. If we open that door and invite Him in He will come in and be with us. He will make His SPIRIT to dwell with us but if we reject Him, if we kick Him out then He will go. If we open the door to the devil then Jesus leaves. If we listen to the devil and ignore Jesus then Jesus will go quiet on us, He will not force us, He will not scream at us. If we reject Him there will come a day when He will also reject us because Jesus is always near to us, He is WITH US to help us, to guide us, to protect us but those who reject Him now will be away from Him for eternity. The moment that God takes away the SPIRIT OF LIFE that is in us then this body perishes and then we stand before Jesus and if we rejected Him all our life then He will also reject us, He will send us away. He will say to many in that day that they die:”Go away I never knew you, you workers of wickedness,” because they would not LISTEN to Him, they would not invite Him in. They disregarded Him and they listened to the devil, they went after their own lusts, they did what they wanted to do, they were not interested in their Maker.

God is always close to us. Jesus is always knocking at the door of our heart, wanting to come in, to be with us, to help us, guide us to coach us, to give us eternal life but if we don't want Him He will leave us.

God is close to you and me. Are we close to Him? Jesus wants to be close with us, are you close with Jesus?

God is NEAR

God is NEAR, He is not nearer or closer to some people than to others. God is with us by His Spirit. The Holy Spirit convicts ALL MEN ALL THE TIME of SIN, RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUDGMENT but very few care to LISTEN.

Most people ignore God and that is why they perish. They live in sin and that is why they are separated from God. They refuse to LISTEN to the voice of God, the Holy Spirit, speaking IN THEM all the time. If you LISTEN your soul will LIVE. If you hearken, take notice, tune in to that voice of the Holy Spirit speaking IN YOU all the time, then YOU WILL LIVE.

Humble yourself before Jesus Christ, go on your knees right where you are and plead Him forgiveness for your sin and STOP SINNING! Then you will hear His voice more clearly. LISTEN when He speaks to you and you will LIVE. Be holy, be righteous, obey Him and you will LIVE IN HIS PRESENCE, you will be NEAR TO GOD as He is NEAR TO YOU.

Are you NEAR TO GOD as He is near to you or do you ignore Him and continue in selfishness and in sin. If you keep on resisting, ignoring and rejecting God you will perish and be separated from Him for eternity. Are you living CLOSE TO GOD?
