Being LED by the Holy Spirit

The difference between a child of God and other people is not just in what he believes. The difference is that a child of God is LED by the Spirit of God, by the Holy Spirit. If we do not have the Holy Spirit, then we do not belong to Jesus Christ.
He gives the Holy Spirit IN those who believe in Him and who obey Him, who REPENT and are baptized in water. If the keep on seeking Him then He gives His Spirit IN them and they are GUIDED  by the Holy Spirit. That is how they follow Jesus. If we do not have the Holy Spirit then we do not belong to Jesus.
The world, the unbelievers, cannot receive the Holy Spirit. It is only those who OBEY Jesus Christ that receive the Holy Spirit. Those who receive the Holy Spirit also have the ability to pray in tongues because they have the Spirit of God indwelling in them and through the Spirit of God dwelling in them they communicate with Him and He guides them. Therefor Paul writes in Romans 8:14  that "those who are being LED by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" the children of God.
Have you received the Holy Spirit? Are you being LED by the Spirit of God? Are you REALLY a child of God?

The Spirit Led Life

To be LED by the Spirit of God is NORMAL for a child of God. Paul wrote in Romans 8:14:”Those who are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God.” Then you ask yourself the question: How many people are sons of God? How many people are children of God? Many are believers but they are not led by the Spirit of God, they are to followers of Jesus Christ.

You cannot follow Jesus if you are not led by His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God. Most people are led by their emotions, their lusts, their ambitions, they are led by other people, by the media, TV. Some are led by their church leaders, others are led by their own insight of the Bible, others by books, philosophies but only those who are led by the Spirit of God THEY are the children of God, they are the sons of God. If we are not led by the Spirit of God, if we do not follow Him we cannot be pleasing to Him.

Many ask how it is to be led by the Spirit of God. If you go on your knees and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master, if you REPENT and TURN AWAY from sin, wickedness and from your own thoughts and you embrace Jesus Christ, PUT YOUR MIND ON HIM, then He puts His mind in you. If your mind is occupied with your own ambitions and with sin and with lust and with the things of this world then that is where you will go, that is what you will do. If your mind is on Jesus Christ then He puts His mind in you and you have the MIND OF CHRIST, He reveals Himself to you. He gives to UNDERSTANDING of the kingdom of God, He give you UNDERSTANDING of the scriptures that were recorded by those who recorded his words. He EXPLAINS it to you, it is not a matter of interpretation. It is a matter of getting understanding from the Holy Spirit, from Jesus Christ Himself, being led by the Spirit of God.

If you commit your life to Jesus then everything that happens to you is from God because He guides your footsteps but if your mind is on other things you will not see the hand of God moving in your life. You will not hear His voice because you are TOO BUSY WITH YOUR OWN THOUGHTS and listening to other people. Those who are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God. They SEEK to HEAR from HIM. Their mind is on Him, they are TUNED IN to Him and therefor they LISTEN, they HEAR HIM, they FOLLOW Him because they EXPERIENCE Him. Jesus Christ is REAL to them, they are LED by the Spirit of God and they OBEY Him. They FOLLOW Him wherever He sends them and they bear GOOD FRUIT. They do what is pleasing to Him.

Without Jesus Christ we can do nothing that is pleasing to Him. If we are not grafted into the Vine we cannot bear good fruit. We have to HEAR FROM HIM and be led by Him, by His Spirit. Are you led by the Spirit of God? Have you received the Holy Spirit? Do you LISTEN to Him and do you FOLLOW Him? Are you a child of God, a follower of Jesus Christ , are you led by the Spirit of God?

Led by the SPIRIT not perceptions

A child of God is led by the Spirit of God. We can only do the will of God if we are in unity with Him, being led by the Holy Spirit. We cannot please God if we follow our own mind and our own perceptions and our own understanding. If we are led by the Spirit of God we do not justify our actions by quoting Bible verses, we DO what the Holy Spirit tells us to do because we obey our Father, we are following Jesus Christ. We only seek to please HIM and often we will do things that other people don't understand, we will not fit in with religious people and their application of the scriptures but as long as we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and do what He tells us to do we will be pleasing to God.

We can only please God if we WALK BY FAITH. Faith comes by the HEARING of the Word of God and God SPEAKS by the Holy Spirit, He guides us by His Spirit and that is why Paul wrote in Romans 8:14 “Those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Are you a child of God? Are you led by the Spirit of God or do other things determine your actions?

Spirit Filled or Possessed

A body without spirit is dead. We are spirit but we can also invite some other spirits to live in our body with us. God is Spirit and we can invite Him to be with us and IN US or we can open the door to evil spirits, wrong spirits. The difference is that if we allow evil spirits to enter us, anxiety, fear, hatred, self pity and all the other ones then they take a hold of us and they POSSESS US, they CONTROL us and they cause us to do things that we don't want to do.

Evil spirits will destroy you but Jesus Christ will set you free IF you invite Him in. Jesus Christ will never control you, He will never cause you to do anything that you don't want to do but He does not share space with evil spirits. If we invite Jess in He will set us free but then we have to keep the devil and the evil spirits out. If we invite them in Jesus WILL LEAVE US.

We have to be SPIRIT FILLED, but with the RIGHT SPIRIT, with the SPIRIT OF GOD. Either we open ourselves for the Spirit of God, we accept Him and invite Him in, stay receptive to Him, FOLLOW Him, OBEY Him, or we open the door to the evil spirits that possess us and destroy us and will cause us to end up in damnation.

Are we filled with the RIGHT SPIRIT? Are we filled with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God? Are we saturated with Jesus Christ? Can He be seen in us? Or are we filled, possessed and controlled by evil spirits that will destroy us in the end?

Like the Wind

You MUST be born again to be a child of God and SEE the Kingdom of God. You cannot be EDUCATED into being a child of God. Jesus Christ said that the wind blows where it wishes (John 3:8), you don't know where it is coming from and where it is going, such is everyone who is born of the Spirit of God A person who is born again does not go after his own desires or ambitions, but like the wind blows where it wishes, the Holy Spirit of God takes them and uses them where God wishes. It is not a matter of EDUCATION but of BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

A child of God does the will of God, that is his PURPOSE, he is part of the Kingdom of God.

Have YOU been born again? Do you SEE the Kingdom of God and are you GOING AFTER GOD'S PURPOSE? Are you LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD or are you merely RELIGIOUS? You need to be BORN AGAIN to SEE the Kingdom of God. You need to be born of the Spirit of God to be a child of God.

Have you been born again? Are you like the wind or have you just been indoctrinated?

Taught by God

Those who follow Jesus Christ are TAUGHT BY GOD, they are LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT and they don't do anything on their own initiative. Jesus did not speak His own mind neither did He do anything on His own initiative but everything that the Father told Him He SAID and He DID.

If we want to be pleasing to God then we must be LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. Our own studies and education, do not qualify us to be pleasing to God, we need to be led by the Holy Spirit. That is why people who trust in their own understanding and their own knowledge of the Bible and act accordingly, they cannot be pleasing to God. We can only be pleasing to God if we are LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. We need to SEEK the guidance of the Holy Spirit continuously in every situation every step of the way.

Without Jesus we can do nothing. If we do not remain IN CHRIST, guided by the Holy Spirit we cannot bear good fruit, we cannot please God. We need to be CONTINUOUSLY SEEKING AND FOLLOWING THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT to be pleasing to God. If we act on our own initiative, using our common sense and our own ideas we are ACTING FROM THE FLESH and that which is born of the flesh is flesh but that which is born of the Spirit of God, that is SPIRIT and LIFE, that is pleasing to God.

Do you follow your own mind or are you constantly weeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit?
