The New Testament church is not a
building. The assembly of the Saints is not to “pass the plate”
and collect money, neither is it to sit in pews and take notes while
a church paid pastor or priest delivers a lecture. There is no
program, liturgy, or rituals in the Body of Christ. All of those are
of the BEAST, false worldly church system, created by men to deceive
believers and profit from their ignorance.

The first Christians, did not have
church buildings, nor did they have Bibles, neither were they taught
from Bibles. None of the New Testament books of the Bible had been
written yet. They were taught the commandments of Jesus by the
disciples of Jesus, who were then referred to as the apostles. They
did not teach them the Old Testament Law of Moses. They taught them
the teachings of Jesus, as Jesus had commanded before He ascended to
heaven. They did as Jesus commanded, as it was later recorded in
Matthew 28:19,20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the
Holy Spirit, 20TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THAT I COMMANDED
YOU;”

On the day of Pentecost, when the first
Christians came to faith, Peter had to explained to them the reason
for the occurrence, when the disciples miraculously started speaking
in tongues which they were never taught, they asked him what they
should do to be saved, and he said to them:”Repent, and each of you
be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your
sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39“For
the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off,
as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 40And with
many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them,
saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” 41So then,
those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there
were added about three thousand souls. 42They were continually
devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to
the breaking of bread and to prayer.”Acts 2:38-42.

Those first believers were Jews, they
knew the law of Moses, the Old Testament. The apostles did not teach
them the Torah, the Old Testament. They taught them the commandments
of Jesus, His words, that which He had taught and instructed them, as
those teachings were later also recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and
John.

We read in Acts 2:43 “Everyone kept
feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place
through the apostles. 44And all those who had believed were
together and had all things in common; 45and they began
selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with
all, as anyone might have need. 46Day by day continuing with one
mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were
taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of
heart, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And
the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being
saved.”

They did not build churches. They were
“continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.. They met in
houses “breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their

collect money to build churches. “All those who had believed were

PLATE” collecting of money for the “church.” There was no
“church, ”nor church organization. Church organizations were
later created by ungodly men to become part of the worldly BEAST
SYSTEM, of idol worship in temples.

We read in verse 46. They were “day
by day continuing with one mind in the temple.” Because they were
Jews, they were still visiting the temple, but they were soon banned
from the temple and persecuted by the non-believing pharisees. The
temple was destroyed in 80 AD, as Jesus predicted, and it was never
re-built.

The Christians met in houses. New
believers were baptized in rivers, dams, wherever there was enough
water. They were not baptized in church buildings. They did not
baptize babies. They baptized those who believed and who had
repented. Paul referred to the “church that is in their house” in
Romans 16:5. Communion, breaking of bread, was done in the house, not
officiated by ordained pastors and clergy. There were none. The
apostles were not educated people, they were fishermen, plain
ordinary working people. They were not educated. Very few of the
pharisees and religious leaders and teachers of the Law of Moses,
ever believed and became Christians.

Church is not the house of God. God
does not live in any church building. We read in Acts 7:48 “the
Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands;
as the prophet says:
49‘HEAVEN IS MY THRONE,does not live in any church building. We read in Acts 7:48 “the
Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands;
as the prophet says:
AND EARTH IS THE FOOTSTOOL OF MY
FEET;
WHAT KIND OF HOUSE WILL YOU BUILD FOR ME?’
says the Lord,
‘OR WHAT PLACE IS THERE FOR MY REPOSE?
50‘WAS IT NOT MY HAND WHICH MADE ALL THESE THINGS?’
Those who have been born again and have received the baptism in
the Holy Spirit, they are the temple of God, they are the church, the
Body of Christ, in which He dwells. We read in 1 Corinthians 6:19 “Do
you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in
you, whom you have received from God?”
God is not concerned about churches, He is concerned about souls.
All church buildings and church organizations will perish. The money
that you work for is not for the church institution, it is to be used
for the Body of Christ, your fellow followers of Jesus as we read in
Acts 2:43”And all those who had believed were together and had all
things in common; 45and they began selling their property
and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have
need.”
We have to love, serve and take care of the fellow followers of
Jesus, the Body of Christ. Love is to be concerned for the welfare
of your brother, not of a church institution. If we care for our
brother we will be concerned about his soul and his physical needs.
Above all we will be concerned about his relationship with Jesus and
his fellowship with Jesus. The apostle John wrote in 3 John
1:2”Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in
good health, just as your soul prospers.3For I was very glad when
brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you
are walking in truth. 4I have no greater joy than this, to hear
of my children walking in the truth.5Beloved, you are acting
faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and
especially when they are strangers; 6and they have
testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send
them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 7For they went out
for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the
Gentiles. 8Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we
may be fellow workers with the truth.” He was speaking of
SUPPORTING those who labor for the SOULS of others, to support them,
not a church organization.
The true body of Christ, the called out assembly have always been
a small flock that were persecuted by the false church, that is part
of the worldly BEAST system. If you follow Jesus and are part of His
flock you will not fit into the worldly churches. You will be hated
and persecuted by them. The worldly church system is a BEAST that
functions ON and FOR MONEY.
Get out of the organizational church system. Stop feeding the
BEAST. Stop giving them your money. Follow Jesus. Love and serve the
other followers of Jesus that might be in need. Be the temple of the
Holy Spirit, in whom He dwells. Serve Jesus IN YOUR HOUSE and share
Him with others. Testify for Jesus, bring others to Jesus, into
fellowship with Him. Follow Him and you will bear much fruit for the
kingdom of God.
May Jesus bless you.
