Learning to Learn from Jesus

To be a child of God means
to live God's Way, to follow Jesus Christ and to learn from Him. We
will either live His way and do as He commands or we will not enter
His kingdom. It is either God's Way or no way. We need to learn to
learn from Jesus, to be taught by Him, to submit ourselves to His
discipline and to do as He instructs us, as He commands us. We need
to take up the yoke of Jesus and submit ourselves to Him, to His
discipline and to His guidance.
It is about following and
obeying Jesus Christ. It is not just about believing in Jesus and
then living as we please, or as we think, living according to the
Bible, living according to the commandments of religious men. To be a
child of God means to be under the instruction of the Holy Spirit,
under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, doing the will of God. Jesus
calls us for a specific purpose. He has chosen us and that is why He
revealed Himself to us and called us to follow Him. We have to follow
Him, His way, and do His will. We have to obey His words, His gospel.
Repent and be baptized in water. Submit yourself to Jesus Christ,
take up His yoke and let Him teach and guide you.
Jesus does not tolerate
deviance. We either follow Him His way and do His will as He guides
us or else we are not suitable for the kingdom of heaven. Most
believers have been deceived to think that they have salvation and
they will go into heaven if they just believe in Jesus Christ. They
are deceived. They are lost. If we do not follow and obey Jesus
Christ and do the will of God then we are not part of the kingdom of
God, then we are of the world, we are not of Jesus. We have to learn
from Him and therefore we have to submit ourselves to Him and learn
to learn from Him, not from people.
We need to learn to trust
in Jesus. We need to learn that without Jesus we can do nothing. We
need to learn that we are totally and utterly dependent on Jesus and
that it is either His way or no way. We cannot go against the will of
God and be pleasing to God. We are called to live in, and to exercise
the will of God. We are called to move and walk and talk and be under
the discipline and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to be pleasing to
Jesus, to be fruitful in His kingdom.
We are called to be
instruments in the hand of God. If we're not instruments in His hand,
we cannot be serving Him, we cannot be part of His kingdom. We need
to learn to learn from Jesus, to submit ourselves to Him.
When Jesus calls us, He
accepts us as His own and He wants to teach us. He wants to guide us
but very few submit to Him. He will come and stand in your way, as
He said to the Apostle Paul:"It is hard for you to kick against
the girders." Jesus has a specific way, and a specific plan for
each disciple that He calls, but we can only fulfill that role, that
purpose, if we learn from Him, if we submit to Him, and if we walk
with Him, if we follow Him. Not with people, not the fellowship of
men, not your church, friends not your insight of the Bible, not
your own mind but by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that He gives
in those who obey Him, who submit to Him, who are sold out to Him,
who have given their lives to Jesus.
People easily repeat a
sinner's prayer after somebody else and say:"Lord I will serve
You for the rest of my life." They never do it because they
don't know what it means. It means to submit myself to Jesus Christ
and to live for Him to learn to learn from Him, to learn to be
dependent on Him only; to fear Him, to obey Him and to serve Him.
Jesus directs our footsteps and He guides and teaches us, but very
few accept instruction, guidance and understanding from Jesus. If we
do not take up His yoke and voluntarily submit ourselves to Him then
He will not teach us because we are unteachable, we are stubborn, and
then we are not useful for the kingdom of God. If we do not submit to
Him then we cannot do His will, we cannot bear fruit for His kingdom.
It is not the great things
that we think that we are doing for God that pleases Him, it is when
we walk with Him, obey Him, and do what He commands us to do, under
His discipline, under His guidance, and His instruction. We need to
learn to first submit to Jesus, to learn from Him and truly get to
know Him before we can be used by Him. Have we learned to learn from
Jesus? Or are we busy with a man-made self conceived religion that
has nothing to do with the kingdom of God? We need to submit to
Jesus, seek Him with all our heart and learn to learn from Him, to
ask Him, to wait on Him, to obey Him, and to follow Him until the
very end. Without Jesus we can do nothing.
Have we learned to learn
from Jesus? Have we become His disciples? Have we become instruments
in His hand, that He can use as He pleases, for His purpose? That is
our calling. That is why He chose us. That is why He called us, and
that is what He wants to prepare us for, but if we are not willing,
we will never serve His
purpose and we will not enter His kingdom. Have we learned to submit
to Jesus and to learn from Him, to be guided by Him so that we can be
used by Him for His glory, for His kingdom and for His purpose?
May Jesus bless you.

Learning Obedience

Every born-again child of
God must learn obedience because, those who disobey Jesus Christ have
no place in the kingdom of heaven. They are the children of
disobedience and will end up in hell. Jesus Christ also learned
obedience through that which He suffered.
We read in Hebrews 5: 8
that “Jesus Christ, even though He was a Son, He learned obedience
through that which He suffered, and being made perfect, He became to
those who obey Him, the source of eternal salvation." It is not
sufficient just to believe in Jesus. It is not sufficient just to
read the words of Jesus, His commands, to read the Bible, study the
Bible. We have to obey Jesus Christ. We have to obey His commands. We
have to obey the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Those who disobey Jesus
will not enter His kingdom.
Jesus Christ, our Master,
learned obedience through what He suffered and we will also learn
through what we suffer. He will put us through suffering so that we
can learn to endure, that we can learn to obey. Jesus Christ will
teach us obedience through suffering because we learn through
suffering. Nobody learns through just reading or listening. We learn
through suffering. We learn through pain and practical experience.
Those who are wise submit
themselves to the discipline of Jesus, and they recognize His hand in
their lives when they go through suffering. They do not run away from
Him, but they draw closer to Him and they learn from Him so that they
can be perfected. Jesus said:"Be perfect like your Father in
heaven is perfect," and He is working perfection in us through
suffering. If we disobey Him we will suffer. He will teach us
understanding through suffering but we will learn to absolutely obey
Him, to obey His words, to obey and follow the guidance of His Holy
Spirit because the disobedient has no place in the kingdom of God.
Are we learning from the
suffering that God is putting in our lives? Are we being drawn closer
to Jesus or do we run from Him? Do we hide from Him? Do we continue
in our wrongful ways and our selfish ways or do we come to Him and
submit and say:"Lord, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done. Thou
art the Potter, I am the clay. For me and make me according to Thy
will." If we are not willing to be changed into His likeness, if
we are not willing to be made useful for His kingdom, then we are not
suitable for His kingdom. We all have to learn obedience through
suffering. Are we learning obedience through our suffering?
May Jesus bless you.

Learning to follow Jesus

Eternal life IS Jesus Christ, KNOWING
Him, FOLLOWING Him and OBEYING Him. We read in the Bible about those
who knew Him, who followed Him, who LISTENED to Him, who saw His
deeds. The words that He spoke were recorded in the gospels,
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John by the eyewitnesses and by those who
researched what Jesus did, who heard from others, like Luke. They
recorded it for us to read.
We read in the book of Acts, the fifth
book in the New Testament, the one just after the gospels, how Jesus
ascended to heaven and He sent the Holy Spirit to TEACH and guide
every believer. He promised the Holy Spirit, to teach and guide us
and to tell us things to come. Jesus Himself is not PHYSICALLY
present on earth but He gives His Holy Spirit IN those who seek Him
so that His Spirit can guide and teach them. God is SPIRIT. Jesus
Christ gives the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us, His very own
PRESENCE with us, to be WITH US for eternity so that we can follow
Him and OBEY Him. Without the Holy Spirit we cannot KNOW Jesus, we
NEED the Holy Spirit.
How do we RECEIVE the Holy Spirit? We
OBEY the words of Jesus as recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark,
Luke and John. Jesus said:"The one who OBEYS Me is the one who
loves Me, and Me and My Father will come and LIVE with him and I will
REVEAL Myself to Him." Go read John chapter 14. Jesus promised
these things and it happened. We read in Acts 2 how the Holy Spirit
was given and then we read in the whole book of Acts how the
followers of Jesus who received the Holy Spirit went out UNDER
GUIDANCE of the Holy Spirit, they preached the gospel and they
performed the works of Jesus, they were LED BY the Holy Spirit. That
was recorded for us to KNOW the truth, the TESTIMONY of those who
KNEW Jesus Christ so that we ourselves can SEEK Jesus, RECEIVE the
Holy Spirit and LEARN to FOLLOW Him, learn to LISTEN to the Holy
Spirit, be LED by the Holy Spirit, learn to KNOW Jesus Christ, to
know His ways, to be taught by Him. But we need Jesus, we need His
Spirit to guide us .
We don't need various teachings of
other people, teaching us the Bible. Once we have read the
testimonies of Jesus Christ, we SEEK, Him, we FIND HIM and then He
Himself will teach and guide us by His Spirit. We have to seek Him
until we receive the Holy Spirit. We have to LEARN to WAIT on Him, to
LISTEN to Him, to FOLLOW Him. We have to take time to seek Him, take
time to listen to Him and then follow and obey Him. But people are
too distracted, they are busy with other things, they are busy with
their TV and their cell phones and the troubles of life, they never
get to know Jesus. They never follow Him, they are busy with
religion, they don't have time for Jesus Christ and then when they
get to the end of the road He says to them:"Go away I never knew
you."
Do you KNOW Jesus Christ? Have you
learned to walk with Jesus, to follow Him? Have you learned to listen
to Him? Have you learned to TRUST Him, to depend on Him to go with
Him every day? Have you received the Holy Spirit? Are you LISTENING
and are you FOLLOWING Jesus Christ? Or are you just deceived,
religious and you think that because you have religion you have
eternal life? Do you think that because you know the Bible that you
have eternal life? You need to know Jesus, you need to be led by the
Holy Spirit, you need to follow Him every day. Do you know Jesus?
Have you learned to follow Jesus Christ?

May Jesus bless you.

Unlearning WRONG Learning

We live and we learn. We learn as we go along. Life is a struggle, it is about the survival of the fittest and sometimes we learn to use wrong tactics to survive to get what we want. Maybe we steal, we cheat, we manipulate other people. We have tantrums, we might develop a violent temper because in that way we achieve our means, we get what we want. But those are the the ways of the world, those are the wrong ways, those are the ways that LEAD TO DESTRUCTION of ourselves and of other people.
Jesus calls us to a BETTER WAY, HIS WAY, His way that will lead to eternal life. Jesus said:“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.
Jesus said:”Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all the other things will be added unto you.” Much of what we have learned is WRONG and once we start following Jesus we have to CHANGE, we have to take HIS YOKE upon us. We have to OBEY Him and do things HIS WAY. We have to WALK WITH HIM, LISTEN TO HIM and FOLLOW HIM and then He will teach us HIS WAY, the RIGHT WAY because much of the learning that we have done in the past will only lead to destruction. The learning that leads to LIFE is that which we learn from Jesus Christ HIMSELF and we can only learn that if we WALK WITH HIM, if we LISTEN TO HIM and if we are GUIDED BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT, but we have to UNLEARN the wrong things that we have learned and we have to learn to OBEY JESUS. We have to learn to TRUST HIM and not in ourselves. We have to learn to do things HIS WAY and not our own way, IF we want ETERNAL LIFE, IF we want REST FOR OUR SOULS, PEACE, JOY and UNDERSTANDING. There is only one way to have that PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING and that is when we do things Jesus' way, when we OBEY HIM, when we TAKE HIS YOKE on us, when we live UNDER THE DISCIPLINE of the Holy Spirit and we OBEY HIM.
We have to TURN AWAY from our old ways. We have to unlearn that which we have learned in the past, to trust in ourselves, our own wisdom, to listen to the wisdom of other people and we have to LEARN FROM JESUS CHRIST and He will give us PEACE for our souls. We have to SUBMIT to Jesus, obey Him and do things HIS WAY and He will guide us into perfect peace.

May Jesus bless you.
