Learning to Learn from Jesus

To be a child of God means
to live God's Way, to follow Jesus Christ and to learn from Him. We
will either live His way and do as He commands or we will not enter
His kingdom. It is either God's Way or no way. We need to learn to
learn from Jesus, to be taught by Him, to submit ourselves to His
discipline and to do as He instructs us, as He commands us. We need
to take up the yoke of Jesus and submit ourselves to Him, to His
discipline and to His guidance.
It is about following and
obeying Jesus Christ. It is not just about believing in Jesus and
then living as we please, or as we think, living according to the
Bible, living according to the commandments of religious men. To be a
child of God means to be under the instruction of the Holy Spirit,
under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, doing the will of God. Jesus
calls us for a specific purpose. He has chosen us and that is why He
revealed Himself to us and called us to follow Him. We have to follow
Him, His way, and do His will. We have to obey His words, His gospel.
Repent and be baptized in water. Submit yourself to Jesus Christ,
take up His yoke and let Him teach and guide you.
Jesus does not tolerate
deviance. We either follow Him His way and do His will as He guides
us or else we are not suitable for the kingdom of heaven. Most
believers have been deceived to think that they have salvation and
they will go into heaven if they just believe in Jesus Christ. They
are deceived. They are lost. If we do not follow and obey Jesus
Christ and do the will of God then we are not part of the kingdom of
God, then we are of the world, we are not of Jesus. We have to learn
from Him and therefore we have to submit ourselves to Him and learn
to learn from Him, not from people.
We need to learn to trust
in Jesus. We need to learn that without Jesus we can do nothing. We
need to learn that we are totally and utterly dependent on Jesus and
that it is either His way or no way. We cannot go against the will of
God and be pleasing to God. We are called to live in, and to exercise
the will of God. We are called to move and walk and talk and be under
the discipline and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to be pleasing to
Jesus, to be fruitful in His kingdom.
We are called to be
instruments in the hand of God. If we're not instruments in His hand,
we cannot be serving Him, we cannot be part of His kingdom. We need
to learn to learn from Jesus, to submit ourselves to Him.
When Jesus calls us, He
accepts us as His own and He wants to teach us. He wants to guide us
but very few submit to Him. He will come and stand in your way, as
He said to the Apostle Paul:"It is hard for you to kick against
the girders." Jesus has a specific way, and a specific plan for
each disciple that He calls, but we can only fulfill that role, that
purpose, if we learn from Him, if we submit to Him, and if we walk
with Him, if we follow Him. Not with people, not the fellowship of
men, not your church, friends not your insight of the Bible, not
your own mind but by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that He gives
in those who obey Him, who submit to Him, who are sold out to Him,
who have given their lives to Jesus.
People easily repeat a
sinner's prayer after somebody else and say:"Lord I will serve
You for the rest of my life." They never do it because they
don't know what it means. It means to submit myself to Jesus Christ
and to live for Him to learn to learn from Him, to learn to be
dependent on Him only; to fear Him, to obey Him and to serve Him.
Jesus directs our footsteps and He guides and teaches us, but very
few accept instruction, guidance and understanding from Jesus. If we
do not take up His yoke and voluntarily submit ourselves to Him then
He will not teach us because we are unteachable, we are stubborn, and
then we are not useful for the kingdom of God. If we do not submit to
Him then we cannot do His will, we cannot bear fruit for His kingdom.
It is not the great things
that we think that we are doing for God that pleases Him, it is when
we walk with Him, obey Him, and do what He commands us to do, under
His discipline, under His guidance, and His instruction. We need to
learn to first submit to Jesus, to learn from Him and truly get to
know Him before we can be used by Him. Have we learned to learn from
Jesus? Or are we busy with a man-made self conceived religion that
has nothing to do with the kingdom of God? We need to submit to
Jesus, seek Him with all our heart and learn to learn from Him, to
ask Him, to wait on Him, to obey Him, and to follow Him until the
very end. Without Jesus we can do nothing.
Have we learned to learn
from Jesus? Have we become His disciples? Have we become instruments
in His hand, that He can use as He pleases, for His purpose? That is
our calling. That is why He chose us. That is why He called us, and
that is what He wants to prepare us for, but if we are not willing,
we will never serve His
purpose and we will not enter His kingdom. Have we learned to submit
to Jesus and to learn from Him, to be guided by Him so that we can be
used by Him for His glory, for His kingdom and for His purpose?
May Jesus bless you.
