Be Holy

Followers of Jesus are commanded to be holy. The apostle Peter wrote: 15But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”1 Peter 1:15.16.

Be holy in ALL you do, in mind, in speach, in deeds. Do not associate with the unrighteous.

Do not listen to fowl talk and dirty jokes.

Do not watch worldly movies. Do not allow watch pornography. You are defiling your soul.

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit of God to dwell in. Do not defile it with sin, immorality, fornication, piercings and tattoos. Be separate, holy, and glorify Jesus in all that you do.

We read in Psalm 1: 1How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,  Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water. Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

4The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.

5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

 6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish."

We read in Hebrews 12:14

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Be holy in all you do.

Discipleship TODAY Ep 6 BE SEPARATE

A born again child of God has a

different mindset. His mind is on God, on Jesus Christ and on what is
pleasing to Him. Those who are not born again, who do not know Jesus
Christ, they cannot understand nor see the kingdom of God, it does
not make sense to them. They are on a different course, they are
going a different direction.

If we follow Jesus Christ we have to
SEPARATE ourselves

from the world. We have to run that
race, following Jesus every day, we have to run that race with
endurance and stay focused on Jesus or else we will be distracted and
we will not make it into the kingdom of heaven.

The apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians
6:14 "Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what
partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship
has light with darkness? 15Or what harmony has Christ with
Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

16Or what agreement has the temple of
God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God
said,

 “I WILL DWELL IN THEM
AND WALK AMONG THEM;

  AND I WILL BE
THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

17“Therefore, COME OUT FROM
THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says the Lord.

 “AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS
UNCLEAN;

  And I will welcome you.

 18“And I will be a father to
you,

   And you shall be sons
and daughters to Me,”

  Says the Lord Almighty."

If we follow Jesus Christ we have no
business with the things of the world. We do not watch TV with the
rest of the world. We do not play video games. We are not competing
in the same race. We are not interested in the same things. those
things will distract us, they will take our minds off Jesus Christ
and we will become like the rest of of the world.

The apostle John wrote in 1 John 2:15
"Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone
loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16For all that
is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and
the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the
world. 17The world is passing away, and also its
lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever."

We have to SEPARATE ourselves unto God
and not go along with the rest of the world. If we go along with the
rest of the world then we expose ourselves to those influences and we
lose the reality of Jesus Christ. We become like them who are
perishing.

We read in 1 Peter 4:1 "Therefore,
since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the
same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased
from sin,"

Believers do not stop sinning because
they go along with the world, they are not willing to stop sinning.
They are not willing to SUFFER rejection. They are not willing to
suffer for following Jesus Christ. they rather go along in the same
lasciviousness, unbridled lust, going after the things of the world
and they are carried away by their desires. They go along with the
world and they sin and they will perish.

Peter writes in verse 2 "so as to
live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of
men, but for the will of God. 3For the time already past is
sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of
the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts,
drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable
idolatries. 4In all this, they are surprised that you
do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation,
and they malign you; 5but they will give account to Him who
is ready to judge the living and the dead."

If we follow Jesus Christ we have
Christ on out mind. We have the kingdom of God on our mind and we are
seeking the will of God.We seek to be pleasing to Jesus Christ. Our
treasure, that which we accumulate in our mind, in our heart, is to
do the will of God, to hear the voice of our Master, to LISTEN to
Him, to OBEY Him and to FOLLOW Him. We have no conversation with the
world. We are not interested in the same things because that which
they talk about will perish. Our interest is in the kingdom of God
and therefor we do not keep company with those who do not follow
Jesus Christ.

I read the words of Jesus in Matthew
12:35 "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is
good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil.
36"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak,
they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. 37"For
by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be
condemned."

We have no conversation with the world,
our treasure, that which is in our heart, that must be Jesus Christ.
People talk about many things, they talk about themselves, they talk
about their church, about their religion, they talk about their
ambitions, the things that they occupy themselves with. They talk
about TV programs, about video games, about their sports, that is
their TREASURE. That is what is in their heart. If we follow Jesus
Christ then we talk about Jesus Christ, that is our conversation and
those who are not interested in Jesus will avoid us. They will stay
away from us because we have to be careful what we talk about. We
will be judged for every idle word. we have to speak the words of
God. We have to be LIGHT in this world. If we are not LIGHT then we
are darkness, then we are like the rest of the world and we will
perish.

We have to be SEPARATE unto God. Our
mind must be on Jesus Christ. He must fill us and from our mouth must
flow the words of Christ, or else we are not of the kingdom of God.
We have to be SEPARATE, we have to be LIKE Jesus.

Do Not Compromise Draw A Line

We live in a world where everything
evil and wicked has become acceptable and tolerable. If we want
eternal life we will have to be holy, righteous and obedient to Jesus
Christ and we will have to distance ourselves from the world and from
the ways of the world. It is commonly acceptable to fornicate, to be
immoral, to be gay, to do all those things that are an abomination to
God.

In this wicked society churches accept
immorality, fornication, lesbianism, all the things that God hates
and forbids but Jesus Christ has not changed. If we follow Jesus
Christ we will have to draw the line and not go along with the rest
of the world. We will have to be pure and holy. Without holiness no
man shall see God. Your friends and family and church friends might
be immoral, they might be living together in sin. If you go along
with them you give approval to it. You will have to separate yourself
from them, distance yourself. Decide on which side of the line you
want to stand. If you stand with Jesus you will live, if you go with
the rest of the world you will perish.

This world has been conditioned and
brainwashed by the media and TV, and wickedness is acceptable but not
to the kingdom of God. You HAVE TO draw the line. Separate yourself
from them, be holy, obey Jesus Christ and follow Him. SIN NO MORE
because NO SINNERS, NO FORNICATORS, NO IMMORAL PEOPLE will enter
into the kingdom of God. They will perish. You have to choose, DRAW
THE LINE.

Come out from among sinners BE SEPARATE

If you want to follow Jesus Christ and be acceptable to Him you have to separate yourself from the world and worldly people, from sinners. You cannot go along with them and do the same things because then you will become like them. You cannot watch TV, you cannot associate with worldly people. You cannot seek the acceptance and approval of men because then you will deny Jesus Christ and you will turn away from Him, you will become conditioned to the world.

If you associate with worldly people they will pull you down, they will take you away from Jesus and you will perish. You have to separate yourself and follow Jesus Christ, you must have the MIND OF CHRIST not the mindset of worldly people because they have different values, they do not have the values of the kingdom of God. You have to separate yourself from church people, from all people, separate yourself unto Jesus and seek His approval. Then you will be hated, and rejected and persecuted by this world, but if you are accepted by them, if they like you much then you are not acceptable to God.

The world loves the false prophets, the false preachers, because they approve all matter of wrongdoing, they are worldly, they are not of the Kingdom of God. If you are acceptable to the world and you fit into the world then you fit out of the kingdom of God. Separate yourself unto Jesus, be holy, be righteous and seek His approval in everything or else you will not be suitable for the kingdom of Heaven and Jesus will reject you.

Be separate, be holy, be righteous and Jesus will accept you.

Keep yourself UNSTAINED

Without holiness no man shall see God and that is why sinners have no relationship with God, they have no communion with Him. If we come to Jesus with a serious heart and we repent of our sins then He forgives us and He cleanses us of all unrighteousness. If we are then baptized in water our sins are washed away and we must remain pure and holy like He is holy IF we want to have communion, relationship with Him.

The reason why most Christians have no relationship, no communion with Jesus, is because they are sinners. Sin separates us from God. Those who are pure in heart, they will see God, they will HEAR Him, they will live in communion with Him and they will get to KNOW Jesus Christ. Most Christians live in sin, they don't care for sin. They think that because they believe in Jesus and because they can quote some Bible verses and because they had some experience with Jesus some time ago that they are saved, they are NOT! They are in darkness because they are not walking with Jesus. They do not HEAR from Him, they do not LISTEN to Him, they do not FOLLOW Him, they are LOST!

We have to be holy like He who called us is holy. Without holiness no man shall see God. We can only come into the presence of God if we are pure and holy. We need to keep ourselves UNSTAINED FROM THE WORLD, from worldly influences. Don't watch TV! Don't participate in the same talk! Don't get involved in the same things. Keep yourself PURE AND HOLY and RESERVE YOURSELF UNTO JESUS and HE WILL REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU.

Cleanse yourself of all unrighteousness, unholiness, be pure and holy, REPENT! Be baptized in water and keep yourself clean UNSTAINED FROM THE WORLD, reserved unto Jesus, and He will reveal Himself to you. God has NO RELATIONSHIP WITH SINNING CHRISTIANS. Be pure and holy and you will walk with God.

Be SEPARATE DIFFERENT follow Jesus

We cannot be “man of the world” and man or woman of God. If we want to follow Jesus Christ we have to separate ourselves unto Him. We cannot do the same things as other people do, we cannot go the same places, we cannot run after the same attractions, watch TV like they do, go to sports games like they do.

We cannot aspire for the same achievements because we are in a different race (contest). If we follow Jesus then we seek to be pleasing to Him, we seek His approval and that will make us hated and rejected by this world. Jesus said:”You will be hated by all men,” even by the “Christians,” the hypocrites, those who do not follow Jesus but who have a form of godliness but they have denied Jesus Christ. They call themselves Christians but they do not follow Jesus Christ neither do they know Him. Maybe they study the Bible and they know a lot of scripture. Maybe they go to church, maybe they even have a church, maybe they are a preacher or a pastor but they don't know Jesus because they are not conformed to Him, they are like the world.

If we follow Jesus we are like Him and if we are like Jesus we are like nobody else because He made us uniquely wonderful for His purpose. Those who are led by the Spirit of God they are like the wind, they don't know where he comes from and where he is going. You don't know what he is going to do next because he goes after Jesus and he does the will of God, he is DIFFERENT FROM THE REST. He is separated unto God.

Jesus said we must first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all the other things will be added unto us. We need to first seek Jesus, not fellowship with other people, not Bible knowledge, not what other people seek, not the popularity and acceptance of others but the approval of God. We need to seek to HEAR the VOICE of God, we need to seek to KNOW HIM as He knows us. We will be TAUGHT BY GOD and we will know all things because God teaches us and He guides us.

If you want eternal life, if you want to be part of the Kingdom of God you have to SEPARATE YOURSELF and SEEK the Kingdom of God, SEEK JESUS, follow Him, be a SON OF GOD, led by the Spirit of God.
