Learn from those who DO not the talkers

I was in business and in manufacturing

for many years. I also earned University degrees, through night
school and part time studies. I learned how to run a business from
champions of industry, people that I worked for and with, but I did
not learn much of value from Universities. One thing that I learned
was that the professors and lecturers were mostly academics, people
who were not successful in real life. I had wasted a lot of good time
and money on useless education.

When Jesus called me to follow Him I
discovered that the same situation exists in the Christian churches.
They can teach you the Bible, doctrines and theories, but they cannot
teach you about following Jesus, because they do not know Him and
have no practical experience of following Him. Their teachings are
all academic, useless for the kingdom of God. Most of the preachers
have no knowledge of God.

How can a person that has no practical
experience of discipleship, teach you about following Jesus. If they
do not know His voice, how can they teach you about hearing Jesus,
listening to Him and following Him? If they do not live by faith, but
live in the church parsonage and on the church payroll, how can they
teach you about living by faith? If they themselves practice sin and
fornicate with the world, how can they teach you repentance and
holiness without which no man shall see God?

Jesus did not teach His disciples the
Bible. He taught them righteousness, His commandments, the words of
eternal life. He commanded them to follow Him as Lord. After He was
crucified and resurrected, before He ascended to heaven, He said:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go
therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching
them to observe ALL that I have commanded you.”Matthew 28:18-20.
The words of Jesus, are the words of eternal life, His commandments,
His teachings, as also recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The
only way to have the HOPE of eternal life is to OBEY Jesus. He
commanded His disciples to make disciples who OBEY ALL His
commandments, not just some of them. He said:”teaching them to
observe ALL that I have commanded you.”

Jesus did not just tell them to believe
or to teach others just to believe in Him. He said:“Go into all the
world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16WHOEVER
BELIEVES AND IS BAPTIZED will be saved, but whoever does not believe
will be condemned.”Mark 16:15,16. If you believe in Jesus you must
OBEY Him, repent, be baptized in water and OBSERVE/OBEY ALL that He
commanded, or else your faith is in vain, you will be condemned.

Be careful who you listen to. If a
person is not leading you to Jesus and not teaching you to obey and
follow Jesus, then that person is leading you to hell. Work out your
own salvation, with fear and trembling. Trust nobody. Get on your
knees before Jesus. Obey His words, His commandments, repent, stop
sinning, be baptized, be holy. Seek Jesus and He will disclose
Himself to you. He will teach and guide you. He will guide your
footsteps. If you stay with Him until the end, you will have LIFE.

Listen and Learn

Jesus Christ calls us not
only to believe in Him but to listen to Him and to follow Him. If we
obey the gospel of Jesus Christ, His words that He spoke; if we
repent and are baptized in water and we seek Jesus with all our
heart, He will give His Holy Spirit in us to teach us and to guide
us. He is our Teacher, He is our guide, He is our constant companion.

Jesus calls us to listen
to Him and to learn from Him. Most believers never get to know Jesus
Christ. They do not know His voice, they do not follow Him. His sheep
hear His voice they listen to Him and they follow Him. They are
taught by Him. Jesus calls us to listen to Him to hear from Him so
that we can get to know Him.

Most believers never get
to know Jesus, they never get to know His ways and they will be very
disappointed and they stand before Him in judgment and He says:"Go
away I never knew you." Jesus is calling us to come close to
Him, for His Spirit to dwell in us, so that we can be in fellowship
with Him. Have you obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ? Have you
repented and been baptized, and have you received the indwelling Holy
Spirit? Do you listen to the Holy Spirit and are you're being taught
by God? It is His will that we learn from Him, not from others. His
sheep do not listen to strangers, they listen to Him. Are you
listening to the good Shepherd? Do you follow and obey Him and do you
learn from Him?

Learn to LISTEN to Jesus

Jesus Christ is alive. His
sheep hear His voice and they follow Him. He reveals Himself to those
who seek Him and who obey Him. He teaches them, He guides them, He
warns them; He is always with them.

Most professing Christians
have never learned to listen to Jesus. If you have been born again by
the Spirit of God then you will hear His voice, but most believers do
not listen. They have never learned to listen. They listen to the
preachers, they listen to the news, they listen to other people, they
follow their own mind, but they have never learned to listen to
Jesus.

We can only follow Jesus
and be led by Him, be pleasing to Him if we listen to Him. Have you
learned to listen to Jesus Christ?

Learn to LISTEN to Jesus Christ

Christian believers like to listen to other people. They listen to preachers, they watch videos and Christian TV programs, they like to read Christian literature but very few of them have learned to listen to Jesus Christ.

His sheep hear His voice, they listen to Him and they follow Him. You can only follow Jesus Christ and DO what is pleasing to Him if you have learned to listen to Him.

Have you learned to wait on the Lord in prayer and to listen to Him, to be tuned in and attentive, to HEAR when He speaks to you and then to OBEY Him, to do His will?

We have to learn to LISTEN to Jesus Christ. Turn off the TV. Stop listening to all the other voices and start LISTENING to Jesus. If you listen your soul will LIVE. If you do not hear Him you are not one of His sheep. Learn to LISTEN to Jesus Christ.

Learn some more

We often become fixed in our ways
because we trust in what we know and we lean on our own understanding
instead of fully trusting Jesus Christ and that is why we get STUCK
in our spiritual life. We think that, that which we know, what we
have learned is the alpha and the omega, that is the beginning and
the end of the story and then we STAY with our understanding, but we
have to trust Jesus Christ and open our spirit, our mind and let Him
teach us. Let Him guide us.

If we get stuck on what we KNOW and
what we have learned, even from the Lord Himself, then we are
trusting on our KNOWLEDGE, on our EXPERIENCE and not on Jesus Christ.
We have to fully trust Jesus and go with Him, LISTEN, WAIT on Him and
He will give us UNDERSTANDING, He will open the WAY in front of us
and we will SEE the LIGHT, we will SEE His way because God does not
conform to what we THINK or what we have LEARNED, or what we believe
to be His way.

Jesus Christ is LORD and we have to
LOVE Him, TRUST Him, FOLLOW Him and OBEY Him in everything. Above all
other things we have to OPEN our mind to Jesus. We have to be
TRANSFORMED by the renewal of our MIND, by the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit or else we will not enter into the kingdom of heaven, we will
not follow Jesus Christ where He takes us.

Trust in the Lord, WAIT on Him, LISTEN
and He will give you understanding. He will teach you NEW THINGS that
you did not know, NEW THINGS that nobody knew because all knowledge
and all revelation belongs to Him. Our God is UNLIMITED. Trust Him
and FOLLOW Him.

Learn From ME

Jesus Christ did not appoint other teachers to teach those who follow Him. He Himself is our TEACHER. He will teach us. Jesus rebuked the pharisees. I read from Matthew 23:8, He said: “But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.”

Those who follow Jesus Christ are BROTHERS, none of them is a teacher. We are all WITNESSES of Jesus Christ and we tell the world what Jesus has TAUGHT US, if we follow Him. And if we follow Jesus Christ HE will teach us HIMSELF.

I read the words of Jesus from Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30"For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." There is a CONDITION for Jesus to teach us and that is that WE MUST TAKE HIS YOKE UPON US. His YOKE is His words, His commands and then if we obey His commands He will teach us.  Jesus is not physically here with us but He sent His Holy Spirit to teach us and to guide us. The Spirit of Christ will teach us if we follow Him.

I read from John 16:7, the words of Jesus: “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged."

Jesus goes on to say that He has many more things to tell them but they cannot take it, they cannot bear it.

Verse 12“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14“He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15“All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you."

The Holy Spirit will teach us IF we follow Jesus Christ, we will not be taught by other people and we will not teach ourselves by reading the Bible and other books. We will be taught by the Holy Spirit, we will HEAR from Jesus Christ Himself. His Spirit will GUIDE us. Jesus said that 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.' Matthew 4:4.

Those who follow Jesus will HEAR Him speak because they will HEAR the words that PROCEED OUT OF HIS MOUTH. He will TEACH them. Everything that Jesus wanted to say to the world and to His disciples WAS NOT said, it was not written in the scriptures. Jesus said that there were many more things that He wanted to tell His disciples but they could not handle it, they could not bear it.

I repeat John 16:12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” Jesus Christ will DISCLOSE Himself, He will disclose many things, He will DISCLOSE the future and He will GUIDE each and every one who follows Him, each and every one who LISTENS to the Holy Spirit. But there is a CONDITION, we have to TAKE HIS YOKE ON US, we must OBEY His words as they are also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. We have to REPENT and ACCEPT Jesus as our Lord and our Master. we have to HUMBLE ourselves before Him and OBEY Him. We have to be baptized in water, we have to live in holiness and righteousness. We have to seek Him in prayer. We have to seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit that He promised that will guide and teach us and then He will GIVE the Holy Spirit on those who earnestly seek Him and once the have received the Holy Spirit they have to LISTEN, FOLLOW AND OBEY the Holy Spirit. There is a CONDITION to being taught by Jesus  Christ and that is that we must take His yoke on us, His words, His commands, we have to OBEY them.

He said: "whoever WISHES to follow me must deny himself, pick up his cross and come here follow Me." What is His cross?  His cross is His yoke, His commands that He gave us, how we should live as is also recorded in the gospels. If we OBEY the words of Jesus , if we take His yoke on us and we are serious about following Him and we seek Him with all our  heart, then He will teach us and He will guide us. Those who follow Jesus Christ WILL BE TAUGHT BY HIM. He says: LEARN FROM ME. We cannot learn the ways of Jesus Christ from other people, we get to KNOW Him by learning FROM HIM.  and that is why Jesus will say to most believers:"Go away I never knew you" because they never learned from Him, they learned from other people. they learned the Bible, they listened to other people but they never followed Jesus, they were never taught by Him, they never got to KNOW Him and that is why in the end he will reject them, because they don't know Him.

Are you taught by Jesus? Have you received the Holy Spirit? Do you LISTEN to Him and do you FOLLOW Him? Do you SEEK Him every day? Have you taken the yoke of Jesus on you or are you still of the world ? Are you still like the  rest of the world? Because then you cannot be taught by Jesus and you will not know Him.

Seek Jesus with all your heart and LEARN FROM HIM or else you will PERISH without Him.

Learn to LISTEN

Most people are poor listeners. They rather like to speak their own mind but if you want to have Eternal Life you have to learn to LISTEN to Jesus Christ. Jesus said:"Learn from Me for I am kind and gentle. My burden is light and My yoke is soft."

Jesus will guide and teach you if you LISTEN to Him but if you interrupt Him He will stop talking to you. Most people think that prayer is to go to God with a shopping list to, tell Him what they want.  When you pray, go on your knees and WAIT on Jesus. LISTEN, He will speak to you, but do not interrupt Him with silly questions. LISTEN and you will LEARN and He will TEACH you, He will GUIDE you His way.

Jesus Christ is the WAY and the LIFE and the TRUTH. You can only follow Him if you LISTEN to Him.

Learn From Me

The whole world is in turmoil and in uncertainty, people are running around in anxiety. Jesus Christ invites us to come to Him and learn from Him and He will give us rest for our souls.
I read from Matthew 11:28-30  “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. “For My yoke is easy and My load is light.”
Jesus INVITES us to come to Him and to learn from Him but there is a CONDITION to learn from Jesus and that is: WE MUST TAKE HIS YOKE UPON US. We must OBEY His words. We must not just read the words of Jesus as recorded in the gospels, (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) but we must take these words seriously and OBEY them. Take His yoke upon us and live according to what Jesus commanded and we will LEARN from Him, He will REVEAL HIMSELF TO US and we will find rest for our souls. There is nowhere else that we can find rest for our souls because Jesus Christ is Lord and He gives eternal life to those who COME TO HIM, who LEARN from Him because they OBEY Him and they DO what He commanded.  
We can only learn from Jesus if we DO what He commanded. If we take His yoke upon us, His words, His commands, and we do them day by day until the very end and He will teach us, He will guide us until the very end and we will LEARN, we will gain UNDERSTANDING if we just keep on obeying Jesus, carrying that yoke on our shoulders, then we will learn from Him and we will have  REST for out souls for eternity.

Learn to LISTEN

If we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Master and we were born again of the Spirit of God then the Spirit of God will guide us into all truth BUT we MUST LEARN TO LISTEN. We must learn not to follow after our own desires and not to do as other people do but we must LISTEN to the IMPLANTED WORD, the Spirit of God that He puts inside of us.

Those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God, they are the children of God and they will be taught by God but they MUST LISTEN. We must learn to tune in to the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God is not about me, what I want and what I need, it is about Jesus Christ, serving Him and doing the will of God and if we seek to do the will of God, if we seek the Kingdom of God, to serve Him then He will supply in all our needs, He will guide our footsteps. He will teach us but we need to learn to LISTEN.

Nothing happens without purpose in the life of a child of God because He guides our footsteps. Our life is in His hands and we must accept everything as from God. Nothing can happen that He does not allow, whether good fortune or bad all comes from Him. In everything we have to turn our eyes to Jesus, wait on Him and ask Him for understanding, we have to ask Him for guidance. We have to submit to Him and be taught by Him. We have to LEARN TO LISTEN. In everything we have to ask Him for His guidance and He will teach us, He will give us understanding. We have to patiently wait on Him and keep our focus on Him and He will teach us.

Have you learned to Listen? Because if we do not LISTEN we cannot follow and we cannot do the will of God. We cannot act on our own initiative and be pleasing to God. We have to LISTEN, FOLLOW and OBEY Him. He will teach us His ways and He will give us understanding of His Kingdom. Jesus said that unless you are born again you cannot see the Kingdom of God, but you have to LISTEN and He will TEACH you, and you will SEE, HEAR and you will UNDERSTAND, you will experience the Kingdom of God here and now. Learn to LISTEN to Jesus.

STOP and LISTEN

Most people are too busy to hear Jesus talking to them. They are too busy with themselves, expressing their OWN OPINIONS, doing their own thing, running after their own desires, too busy watching TV, too busy with everything BUT Jesus.

If you would STOP and LISTEN you would hear Jesus talking to YOU. He will teach you wisdom and understanding, you will get to KNOW Him but if you do not give Him your ear and WAIT on Him you will not hear Him, you will not get to know Him.

Do you STOP to LISTEN before you TALK, before you say what YOU think, before you get busy with your own affairs, or do you not have TIME for Jesus Christ?

Jesus is SPEAKING to ALL OF US but very few care to LISTEN and that is why they will never get to know Him. He will say to them:”Go away I never knew you, you workers of wickedness” because they would NOT LISTEN to Him.
