Christian Liberties

Those who are born again of the Spirit of God become sons of God and they are called to the FREEDOM OF THE SONS OF GOD, they enjoy the LIBERTIES of a son of God, of a child of God. God becomes their Father, but with these liberties also come certain responsibilities. They have to OBEY  the Father and do His will. If they disobey the Father His wrath will also come on them. satan was also a son of God but he rebelled against God and he was cast out of heaven like a lightning bolt.

Many believers think that they can carry on sinning, that they can live their lives to please themselves, but Jesus was very clear that every branch in Him that does not bear fruit will get cut off and burned, every tree that does not bear fruit will get cut off and burned. The wrath of God is on the disobedient. The curse of God is in the house of the wicked. As a child of God we have privileges. We have the authority that God gives us. Jesus Christ sets us FREE from the bondage of sin. Sin will have no dominion over us. We are children of God and the devil has no power over us. We can resist him and he will flee from us but we have to exercise that power. We have to submit ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, then we will reign  as children of God in this world.

It is only when we submit ourselves to Jesus, when we obey Him and do the will of the Father that we can be pleasing to Him, but if we despise His liberties then His wrath will come on us. As children of God we have liberty, we have freedom, we can come into His presence and He will reveal mysteries to us. He will tell us what will happen in the future, He will guide us into His truth. We will not be in darkness.

Most believers are in darkness. They read the Bible, they listen to other people and they surmise certain things. They interpret the Bible in their own way and they tell you what will happen in the future but they are all wrong, because they are not hearing from God.  They are not in His confidence, they are not in the liberty of the sons of God because they do not subject themselves, they do not submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

We only have the liberties of the sons of God if we submit ourselves to Him. We only maintain that confidence as long as we stay IN CHRIST and we do what is pleasing to Him. But if we disobey Him and disregard Him, then we will get chastised, we will get disciplined and if we refuse to repent and behave like children of God we will get cast out like satan was cast out.

Do we enjoy the liberties of the children of God, the sons of God, or are we just assuming that we are children of God? Are we walking in the LIGHT or are we in darkness? Are we truly led by the Holy Spirit or do we just assume that we have salvation because we believe in Jesus Christ? we can only be pleasing to God our Father if we live in utter obedience to Him every day until the very end.

The liberty of the sons of God is for those who SERVE and OBEY Him.

May Jesus bless you.

  1. Hi Jan, I read your stuff now and then as I do agree with most of the things you say though they are depressingly truthful.

But I do not agree with this - "satan was also a son of God but he rebelled against God and he was cast out of heaven like a lightning bolt."

He was not a son of God but a creature, an angel, a fallen one.

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12-13, NKJV).

    God bless you.

    Best regards.

    1. Maybe you haven't yet read Job 1 "6Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. 7The LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” 8The LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.” 9Then Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10“Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11“But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.” 12Then the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the LORD."
