REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED or Perish

Before you can receive the Holy Spirit

of Jesus Christ, you first need to repent and be baptized. We read in
Acts 2 the words of the apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost:
Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you
will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39“For the promise
is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as
the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:37,38.

To repent means to feel or express
sincere regret sorrow or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin. Some
people never find repentance, like Esau, who despised his birth right
and lost it. We read in Hebrews 12:15 “See to it that there
be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own
birthright for a single meal. 17For you know that even
afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected,
for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with
tears.” Many people despise the grace of God that leads them to
repentance and later when they wish to repent they do not have the
chance. Some believers never repent, they just keep on asking
forgiveness and keep on going back to the same sins. Their hearts are
hardened and God gives them over to a reprobate mind, because they
love sin and hate righteousness, and so they perish in their sins.
True repentance results in turning from sin and living in holiness.
If a person has not repented it makes no sense to be baptized.

We read in Matthew 3:1 “Now in those
days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
saying,2“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Verse 7 “But when
he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he
said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the
wrath to come? 8“Therefore bear fruit in keeping with
repentance; 9and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves,
‘We have Abraham for our father’; for I say to you that from
these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.10“The axe
is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that
does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

      11“As
for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming
after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals;
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12“His
winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His
threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He
will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Where there is no
fruit of repentance, there was no repentance and it makes no sense to
be baptized.

Jesus commanded that
all those who wish to follow Him be baptized in water. We read in
Mark 16:15:16 Jesus said to His disciples “Go into all the
world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16“He who has
believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has
disbelieved shall be condemned.”

Without repentance
and water baptism there is no salvation, just condemnation. Neither
will such persons receive the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul wrote in
Romans 8:9 “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he
does not belong to Him.”

Many believers think
they have salvation, but they never repented. They are living in sin.
They are not holy. Others were never baptized in water and most never
received the Holy Spirit.

Without the Holy
Spirit, we have no communion with Jesus. Modern Christianity has
Bibles, doctrines and churches but no Spirit, no Jesus.

Have you repented
and been baptized? Did you receive the Holy Spirit? Are you born
again of the Spirit of God and are you living in communion with Him?
Those who are being led by the Spirit of God, they are the children
of God. Are you a child of God.

OBEY JESUS OR YOU WILL PERISH

Many people believe in Jesus and therefor they think that they will have

eternal life, but they ignore the conditions for eternal life. We
read in John 3:36. "He who believes in the Son has eternal life;
but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of
God abides on him."

Jesus
came to do the will of the Father “Although He was a Son, He
learned obedience from the things which He suffered. 9And
having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the
source of eternal salvation” Hebrews 5:8,9.

Faith
in Jesus gives us the HOPE of eternal life, but it is only through
OBEDIENCE to Jesus that we can have eternal life.

OBEY
the gospel of Jesus Christ, His words and commandments as recorded in
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Repent and be baptized. Stop sinning,
be holy. Live in obedience to the words of Jesus and He will disclose
Himself to you. He will give His Holy Spirit in you to teach and
guide you. OBEY and FOLLOW Him until the end and you will have
eternal life.

ARE YOU LIVING A LIE OR WALKING IN TRUTH

Most professing Christians are living a
lie, they are not following Jesus. They are not in the Light, they
are in darkness. They believe in Jesus but they refuse to come to Him
and walk with Him. They refuse to obey Him. They refuse to repent,
stop sinning and be baptized in water. They refuse to live holy. They
refuse to seek His will and do it, but they believe they have
salvation.

They believe lies because they do not
seek the truth, they seek their own ways. They think that they have
salvation because they are religious. They are church goers. They pay
their tithes and do charities. They study the Bible. Many are
preachers and church leaders. They cast out demons and perform
miracles in the Name of Jesus, but they love the world and the things
of the world. They love money, status and the acceptance and approval
of people. They love their comforts entertainment, worldly pleasures,
lust of the flesh and worldly securities. They are more lovers of
pleasure than lovers of God. They are living in sin. They are only
fooling themselves because they are heading to destruction. They are
separated from God by sin and all their idols. They listen to the
false prophets.

Jesus said:“Beware of the false
prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are
ravenous wolves.16“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are
not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are
they? 17“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree
bears bad fruit. 18“A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor
can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19“Every tree that does not
bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20“So
then, you will know them by their fruits.

      21“Not everyone who says to
Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who
does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22“Many
will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in
Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform
many miracles?’ 23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I
never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE
LAWLESSNESS.’Matthew 7:15-23.

Jesus Christ alone is the WAY, the LIFE
and the TRUTH. Only those who OBEY and FOLLOW Him, will walk in
TRUTH. Jesus gives His Holy Spirit in and with those who seek Him and
OBEY Him, repent and are baptized in water. The Holy Spirit is the
Spirit of Truth, He will guide them into all truth IF they listen to
and obey Him.

Have you repented and been baptized in
water? Have you received the Holy Spirit? Are you LISTENING to Him
and walking in TRUTH, or are you living a lie?

Come to Jesus or you will perish

There is only one person
who can save us from hell and that is Jesus Christ, Himself, but the
world is perishing, people are going into hell because they do not
want to come to Jesus. They reject Jesus Christ. They want salvation
and they want the things that Jesus can give them but they don't want
Jesus.

Believers want to believe
in Jesus for salvation but they do not want to have anything to do
with Him. They do not want to follow Him nor obey Him. Jesus said to
the Pharisees ,who were the scribes and Bible believers of the time,
He said to them:"You diligently search the scriptures, in there
to find eternal life but you refuse to come to Me to have life."
A rich young man came to Jesus and he asked Him what he must do to
have eternal life, and Jesus said to him:"Keep the
commandments." He said:"I've done that since my youth,"
and Jesus said to him:"If you want to be perfect, sell all your
things, come here, follow Me." The rich man was grieved and he
turned away because he did not want to follow Jesus Christ. We read
in Matthew 23 Jesus lamented over Jerusalem. He said:"Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets; how often did I not want to
gather you like a hen or chicks but you were unwilling." People
are unwilling to come to Jesus, they are unwilling to stay with
Jesus. Jesus.

Christ is the way the
truth and the life, there is no other. Without Jesus there is no
future. If we reject Jesus, we reject eternal life. Many just want to
come to Jesus for healing and salvation but they don't want to stay
with Him because the conditions of staying with Jesus or hard, they
are tough. Jesus said:"Whoever wishes to come after me must deny
himself every day, pick up his cross and come here follow Me."
He said we have to take His yoke upon us and follow Him. He said that
if we love Him we will obey His commands, but people don't want to do
that. They want their freedom, they want to live their lives to
please themselves. They want to enjoy the pleasures of sin. They
don't want Jesus Christ. They want to run after their own ambitions,
they do not want to submit to Jesus Christ and that is why they will
perish. The reason why people will go into hell is because they
reject Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way and the truth and
the life there is no other, He is the door and He will decide who
will go into heaven and who not. He will say to many believers in
that day that they die, and they stand before Him:"I never knew
you, you workers of wickedness." They believed in Him. They
might have been preachers, they might have had the own ministry, but
they were doing their own thing. They were not following and obeying
Jesus.

We have to come to Jesus,
submit ourselves to Him and live our lives to please Him to have
entry into His kingdom, to become part of His kingdom. Without Jesus
we have no hope. If we do not follow and obey Him and if we do not
stay with Him until the very end, if we do not truly love Him, we
will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Do you love Jesus? Are you
following Him? Are you seeking to please Him? Do you have Jesus? Do
you have His approval? Do you have hope of eternal life? Without
Jesus you have no hope of future, no expectation. Do not reject
Jesus. Come to Jesus and stay with Jesus until the very end or else
you will perish.

REPENT and FOLLOW Jesus Christ or you will PERISH

You cannot enter the kingdom of heaven and have eternal life if you do not REPENT of your own selfish ways and of the way that you used to do things, and go after Jesus Christ, follow Him.
You have to REPENT of your own ways and you have to follow the Jesus way. You have to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE, and there is no other, and if you do not turn from your own ways and follow Him His way, you will not find the way into the kingdom of heaven.
You need to REPENT, you need to repent of sin, you need to repent of your own selfish ways, you need to repent of your own ideas, you need to repent of the world, you need to repent of religion; you have to turn away from all those things, abandon them and go after Jesus Christ. Obey His words and follow Him.
It is not enough just to believe in Jesus. We follow Him because we believe that He is whom He said that He is, that He is the Lord God Almighty, that He is the King. The kingdom of heaven is here, and those who know and follow Jesus Christ, are part of His kingdom, but those who do not know Him, are not part of His kingdom, they will perish.
Obey the gospel of Jesus Christ, His words. Repent, turn away from your previous lifestyle, from following your own mind, from living in sin, from being like the world, from being religious, and live according to the words of Jesus Christ.
Turn to Jesus. Obey Him. Repent, be baptized in water and seek Jesus with all your heart. He promised to give His Spirit in you, to teach you and to guide you. He promised to make you new inside, so that you can hear His voice and that you can see the kingdom of God. But you first need to repent.
Repent and obey Jesus Christ. Follow Him until the very end to have eternal life. If you do not repent, you will perish.

Don't look for a church or for Christian fellowship

Salvation is about our
relationship with Jesus Christ. If we do not know Jesus for real and
if that relationship is not growing every day then we have no hope of
salvation. Jesus Christ Himself is the way and the truth and the
life.

Many people hear the
gospel of Jesus Christ, others pick up a Bible and read the gospel,
they believe in Jesus and then and they believe that they have to
look for a church or the fellowship of other Christians in order to
come closer to Jesus. That is not true. Our relationship is with
Jesus Christ alone. If we do not have that relationship we are lost.
We must follow Jesus Christ. We must seek Him in prayer and He will
reveal Himself to us. The people in church are not busy with the
kingdom of God. They are not following Jesus Christ. They are playing
church, they have no relationship with Jesus. Those who know Jesus
follow Him. Their communion,k their fellowship, their relationship is
with Him not with other people. They bring others into fellowship
with Jesus, because they know Jesus . Do you know Jesus Christ? Is
your relationship with Jesus Christ real? If you do not have Jesus,
you do not have life. Seek Jesus with all your heart and He will
reveal Himself to you.

You Cannot Use or Manipulate God

Jesus Christ is Lord. All authority and all power belongs to Him. The kingdom of heaven is HIS and He reigns. If we want eternal life we have to FOLLOW and OBEY Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only WAY. All other ways lead to damnation. Jesus will not follow us around, He will not give in to our desires and our ambitions. We have to give up our ambitions, we have to give up our desires and deny ourselves, go after Jesus. We cannot manipulate Him. He is God, He does not change.

Many believers think that they can manipulate God like they manipulate their pastor and their church with money and tithes and things that they do for the church. God is not interested in what we want to give Him. Jesus Christ calls us to follow HIM on His conditions. He does not change, He is Lord. Jesus does not need us, we need Him.

If we want eternal life we have to give up everything that He requires of us and go where He sends us, do what He tells us to do. If Jesus Christ is not your LORD and MASTER, not the center of your life, then you will not have eternal life. If you do not serve Him NOW as Lord then you will not enter His kingdom. Do not be deceived, Jesus Christ is not manipulated, you cannot use Him, you cannot abuse Him. If you want LIFE you have to humble yourself before Him, seek Him, seek His ways and DO His will, yield to Him because Jesus Christ is Lord. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD. Serve Him as Lord and Master or you will perish.

Your Reference Jesus Christ or the Bible

What is your reference? Where do you go to for guidance and understanding? Do you go to the Bible? Or do you go to Jesus Christ? Those who are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God, they do not lean on their own understanding neither do they go to other people, they go DIRECTLY to Jesus Christ.

Many people believe that they are SAVED because they apply certain Bible verses and they PRESUME that because they believe in Jesus Christ that they are saved. If we believe in Jesus Christ after we have heard the gospel, we will fall on our knees and call on Him and He will reveal Himself to us, we will KNOW Him for REAL and He will guide us, He will teach us, He will come and live in us by His Spirit. Our reference, our guidance, our understanding will come form our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Many believers have no relationship with Jesus Christ. They don't know Him. They have never met Him. They just have a Bible, they know Bible verses and they apply Bible verses according to their own understanding but they have no knowledge of God. God is ALIVE. Jesus Christ is ALIVE! He speaks, He guides His sheep. His sheep LISTEN to His voice and they FOLLOW Him. If we do not KNOW Jesus Christ we cannot have salvation. If Jesus Christ is not our guide, the center of our lives then we do not KNOW Him. we do not have LIFE.

Go on your knees and call our to Jesus. Seek Him with all your heart until He reveals Himself to you. and the you will KNOW Him and He will GUIDE you, He will TEACH you and you will have LIFE if you stay with Him. Without Jesus Christ  we can do nothing. Have you met Jesus Christ? Is He your guide and reference?

Are you following Jesus or people?

Most believers are living in a fool's paradise. Because they have heard the gospel and because many of them study the Bible and they believe IN Jesus Christ they think they have salvation, but they do not know Jesus Christ. They are not following Him. They are following after their own lusts, they listen to other people and they think that if they keep on reading the Bible, that testifies of Jesus Christ, that they are saved.

They are not following Jesus Christ. They are not LISTENING to Him, they DO NOT KNOW HIM. If we know Jesus Christ then we follow Him, we LISTEN to HIM, we go to HIM for GUIDANCE and ADVICE. We PRAY, WAIT ON HIM and LISTEN, we HEAR FROM HIM, we SEEK to be pleasing to Him, we don't listen to other people.

If you KNOW Jesus Christ and you follow Him why would you still want to read ABOUT Him and hear ABOUT Him from other people? Would you not go straight to Him and hear from Him? Do you truly KNOW Jesus Christ? If you do, you will follow Him. Have you MET Jesus Christ the LIVING GOD, do you KNOW Him and do you FOLLOW Him? Or do you just talk about what other people say, quote scripture? Has Jesus spoken to you? Can you talk about what Jesus told you? Or do you know Jesus from hear say? Who are you following, Jesus Christ or people? Do you listen to preachers and other people? Do you only read what other people wrote in the Bible or do you follow Jesus and hear from Him for yourself? Do you truly KNOW Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ will say to most believers on that day that they die:”Go away I never knew you, you workers of wickedness,” because they never knew Him! They never followed Him. They believed that they were saved, they had false security. They believed that they were saved because they belonged to a church, they listened to a pastor, they read the Bible but they never LISTENED to Jesus Christ because they never knew Him.
