God Engineers our Circumstances

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master, He accepts you as a child of God.You come under His CARE and PROTECTION and He will be watching over you until the very end.

Nothing can happen to you that He does not allow. There is no good or bad luck in the life of a child of God. God has a plan and a purpose for each of His children. He has also prepared works for each child to do, a function to fulfill.

We can only serve His purpose if we OBEY Him and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ gives the Holy Spirit to live in and to guide and teach every child who seeks to obey Him.

He will never force us to obey Him but He will be involved in our lives until the very end, because He cares.  We have the choice however, to obey or disobey Him. Jesus does not hold us captive but if we disregard and disobey Him we will face the consequences.

As a child of God, We have to live in obedience to the rules of Jesus, His words, His commands, as also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, as Jesus also commanded His disciples:  “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16“He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.” Mark 16:15,16. Also as we read in Matthew 28:19,20 Jesus said:“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;”

If we love Jesus, we will obey Him and He will give His Holy Spirit to come and dwell in us. We read in John 14:20 20“In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” ... “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.”

Jesus Himself will teach us  and guide us and give us understanding of His will, IF we obey His words and if we seek to be pleasing to Him.

If we disobey Him and disregard Him, stray from Him, we will come under discipline. The discipline of the Lord can be very harsh as we read Paul's testimony in Acts 26:14 When Jesus spoke to him on the Damascus road and said to him: “It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

What are the goads? A goad is a spiked stick used to drive cattle.

The discipline of the Lord can be hard and unpleasant because He wants to correct us, so that we can share in His holiness and that we can be suitable for His kingdom, so that we can change our ways to be obedient children of God.

We must seek the will of the Lord in all things and TRUST Him when we pray. When things do not work out as we hoped or expected we must submit to Jesus and yield to His will because He makes all things work together for good, for those who love Him, for those who are called according to His purpose, for His children.

If we keep on going after our own will then the Lord will give us our desires but will often give it to us but then we will have to live with the consequences that can often be very painful and unpleasant. As we read in Psalm 106:14,15. 14But craved intensely in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert. 15So He gave them their request, But sent a wasting disease among them.”

Paul also writes in Romans 1:24

"24Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”

Many children of God continue in their wicked ways. Many of them say that they cannot stop sinning and they think that God will excuse them, somehow, because they believe and because they are children of God but God is the impartial judge, as Paul also writes in Romans 2:4-11. 4Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? 5But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: 7to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; 8but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. 9There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, 10but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11For there is no partiality with God.

We will reap what we sow. Jesus warned that every branch in Him that does not bear fruit will get cut off and burned.

John 15:1-6 “  1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. 3“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.”

God watches over His children. Let us conduct ourselves worthy of Jesus. If we don't we will get disciplined. Those who do not mend their ways will not enter His kingdom. It is not just a matter of sin and righteousness, but of fitting into God's plan and doing His will. We have to be obedient children that do the Father's will.

Are we fitting into God's plan? Are we obedient children? Are we worthy of Jesus Christ?

May Jesus bless you.
