God will repay each one according to his deeds. To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger.
There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil, first for the Jew, then for the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, first for the Jew, then for the Greek. For God does not show favoritism. Romans 2:6-11.
"For the wages of sin is death."Romans 6:23
"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. 8The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."Galatians 6:7,8.
Dear friends, after spending our life on this earth, what wages do we expect when we stand before the judgment throne of Jesus Christ? What did we sow? We will reap what we have sown, either eternal life or eternal torment in damnation.
In this world that we live in we often hear these words:"You DESERVE a new car, you DESERVE a better life, you DESERVE certain things..." when people have not worked for those things, they have done NOTHING for them. Believers are also told that they deserve heaven, they DESERVE eternal life just because they believe in Jesus Christ. That is not true.
Jesus Christ will reward every man according to what they DESERVE, according to their WORKS, not according to their faith, not according to what they thought or believed. Jesus Christ is the righteous judge and He will reward each of us according to what we have DONE in the flesh.
The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 2:6-11 “God WILL RENDER TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; 8but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. 9There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, 10but glory and honor and peace to every man who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11For there is no partiality with God.” There is no discrimination.
We also read in Matthew 16:27 The Lord Jesus said:“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.”
We also read these words in Revelation 22:12 “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. “
Jesus Christ said that every branch in Him that does not bear good fruit will get cut off and burned. Believers think that they do not have to serve Jesus. They don't want to serve Him. They don't want to live righteously. They don't want to obey the truth. They will be rewarded according to their DEEDS, whether good or bad.
The apostle Paul also wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:9,10 "Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”
We have to be pleasing to Jesus. If we disobey Him, disobey the truth, He will give to us what we DESERVE, either punishment, eternal punishment in damnation or He will reward us in His heavenly kingdom if we obeyed Him. We will be judged according to our DEEDS, what we have DONE in the flesh.
Is Jesus Christ pleased with us? What REWARD do we expect when we stand before the judgment throne of God?
Many believers foolishly
want to hasten the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. They are arrogant
and presumptuous. They believe that they are saved even though they
themselves do not follow nor obey Jesus Christ. Most believers are
living in sin and they are conformed to the world. But Jesus Christ
is coming to judge the world. He will judge each and every one of us.
The coming of our Lord will be a terrible day. He will judge each and
every person according to their deeds and we must make sure that we
are always ready for that day when the Lord unexpectedly comes.
I read the words of Paul
in Romans 2:1.
"Therefore you have
no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you
judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the
same things. 2And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls
upon those who practice such things. 3But do you suppose this, O
man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do
the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of
God? 4Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and
tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads
you to repentance?"
God wants all me to
REPENT. Me must make sure that we live in holiness and in
righteousness.
"But because of your
stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for
yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment
of God, who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO
HIS DEEDS: "
Many believers say they
cannot stop sinning, they REFUSE to stop sinning , they are conformed
to the world and they think that God will excuse their sins. because
they believe, but God will judge every man according to their DEEDS.
Verse 6 "God WILL
RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: 7to those who by
perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality,
eternal life; 8but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do
not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and
indignation. 9There will be tribulation and distress for
every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the
Greek, 10but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does
good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11For there is no
partiality with God."
People REFUSE to live
righteously, they say that we are SAVED BY GRACE and not by the works
of the LAW.
This is what Paul writes
in verse 12:
"For all who have
SINNED without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who
have SINNED under the Law will be judged by the Law; 13for it
is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God,
but the doers of the Law will be justified. 14For when Gentiles
who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law,
these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15in that
they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their
conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or
else defending them, 16on the day when, according to my gospel,
God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus."
The issue is SIN and
DISOBEDIENCE to God. If we SIN we already violate the LAW. We have to
live HOLY and RIGHTEOUSLY in the presence of God. God will judge
every man according to their DEEDS.
We read in Deuteronomy
32:35.
"Vengeance is
Mine, and retribution,
In
due time their foot will slip;
For
the day of their calamity is near,"
He is talking about those
who disobey the TRUTH.
There is no FEAR of God
among believers. They think that because they believe in Jesus Christ
they can keep on sinning and God will only judge the world but not
them. God is fair and righteous and we must live in the fear of God.
We must serve Him with FEAR and REVERENCE. I read in Psalm 2:11-12
"Worship the
LORD with reverence
And
rejoice with trembling.
12Do
homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the
way,
For
His wrath may soon be kindled.
How
blessed are all who take refuge in Him!"
Every branch in Christ
Jesus that does not bear GOOD FRUIT will get cut off and burned. They
will perish on the way, they will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Be
WARNED and be CAREFUL.
The apostle Peter wrote in
1 Peter 1:13-17
"Therefore,
prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix
your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the
revelation of Jesus Christ. 14As obedient children, do not be
conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your
ignorance, 15but like the Holy One who called you, be holy
yourselves also in all your behavior; 16because it is
written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”
17If
you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to
each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your
stay on earth;"
The Lord Jesus is coming
and He is coming to judge the world and He will repay every man
according to their DEEDS. Our DEEDS will determine our DESTINY.
Many people wrongly believe that we
only have to BELIEVE in Jesus Christ to be saved but that is not the
truth. If we believe in Jesus, we must OBEY Him, we must follow Him
and DO what He commanded or else we will perish. Jesus will reward
every man according to their DEEDS, believers also. He does not
discriminate against anyone and He does not advantage anyone because
they believe. He has ONE STANDARD by which all men will be judged.
Some believers wrongly believe that if they do not SERVE Jesus they
will only LOSE REWARDS, that is a LIE! If we do not SERVE and OBEY
Him we will perish!
This is what the apostle Paul wrote in
Romans 2:6-16 “God, 6who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON
ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: 7to those who by perseverance in doing good
seek for glory and honor and immortality, ETERNAL LIFE; 8but to those
who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey
unrighteousness, WRATH AND INDIGNATION. 9There will be tribulation
and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first
and also of the Greek, 10but glory and honor and peace to everyone
who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11For THERE IS
NO PARTIALITY WITH GOD.
12For all who have
sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who
have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; 13for it is not
the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the
Law will be justified. 14For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do
instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a
law to themselves, 15in that THEY SHOW THE WORK OF THE LAW WRITTEN IN
THEIR HEARTS, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts
alternately accusing or else defending them, 16on the day when,
according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through
Christ Jesus.”
God will judge each and
every one of us FAIRLY.
Jesus Christ warned His
disciples to ALWAYS BE READ, TO BE WORKING for the kingdom of God.
We read the words of Jesus
in Luke 12:35 “Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit.
36“Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns
from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to
him when he comes and knocks. 37“Blessed are those slaves whom the
master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that
he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table,
and will come up and wait on them. 38“Whether he comes in the
second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are
those slaves.
39“But be sure of
this, that if the head of the house had known at what hour the thief
was coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
40“You too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that
you do not expect.”
41Peter said, “Lord,
are You addressing this parable to us, or to everyone else as well?”
42And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and sensible
steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give
them their rations at the proper time? 43“Blessed is that slave
whom his master finds so doing when he comes. 44“Truly I say to you
that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 45“But if
that slave says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in
coming,’ and begins to beat the slaves, both men and women, and to
eat and drink and get drunk; 46the master of that slave will come on
a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know,
and WILL CUT HIM IN PIECES, AND ASSIGN HIM A PLACE WITH THE
UNBELIEVERS. 47“And that slave who knew his master’s will and did
not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many
lashes, 48but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy
of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given
much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him
they will ask all the more.”
The unfaithful slave WILL
BE CUT INTO PIECES AND ASSIGNED A PLACE WITH THE UNBELIEVERS. Do not
make the mistake of thinking that you can have a LAST MINUTE
REPENTANCE just before you die. We have to be READY, WORKING and
SERVING the kingdom of God.
God is not fooled. He will
reward every man according to their DEEDS. Go and read the words of
Jesus in the gospels, go and read about the talents and what happened
to the servant who buried his talent. He was thrown out into utter
darkness where there is moaning and gnashing of teeth. God will
reward every man according to their DEEDS, believers also. If we
refuse to OBEY and SERVE Jesus Christ we will end up in damnation
with the unbelievers, with those who refused to OBEY the words of
Jesus Christ.
Are we spending our lives
working for the kingdom of God or are we selfishly ambitious and
running after our own lusts and desires? What reward do we expect
when we stand before the judgment throne of God?
God is watching each and every one of
us every moment of our lives. He cares for us, He cares for every one
of us. He does not discriminate. To Him all of us are His creation.
He is watching our thoughts, our deeds, how we treat other people.
Everything that we do is noticed by God and He will repay every man
according to their deeds.
Is God pleased with your and my deeds?
Will we receive reward or punishment? The psalmist wrote:”Let the
words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable unto
Thee, my God and my Redeemer.”
Are we striving to be pleasing to God
our Father? Because we will give account to Him for each and every
thought and every deed, for what we have done on this earth to others
and with that which God gave to us. Will Jesus be pleased with us
when we stand before Him in final judgment?
The wages of sin is DEATH. The soul
that sins must DIE. All those who sin will DIE. Sinners that do not
repent will all end up in HELL. If we come to Jesus He makes us FREE
FROM SIN.
Those whom the Son of God has set free
they will be free indeed. Jesus said that:”He who sins is a SLAVE
TO SIN.” If we follow Jesus Christ we will be FREE FROM SIN, we
will be FREE INDEED. We will not be sinners any longer because if
Jesus has set you free you will be FREE.
Have you come to Jesus? Has He set you
free? Are you FREE FROM SIN? Or are you DOOMED to HELL and DAMNATION?
Jesus calls each one of us to be a
servant of the Kingdom of God and He will reward every man according
to their deeds, good or bad. Jesus gave each one of us talents to use
in His Kingdom, to work for His Kingdom and He will require each of
us to give account to Him for what we have done in the flesh. Did we
build the Kingdom of God or did we not care? Did we destroy it?
Jesus said that he who does not gather
with Him, scatters, and he who does not build, breaks, destroys.
Jesus is coming and He brings His reward with Him, good or bad, for
each one of those whom He has called. What reward do we expect?
Are we faithful servants in the Kingdom
of God or do we not care? Are we squandering, wasting that which He
has given to us on ourselves and on the pleasures of sin? Are we
worthy servants who expect to be rewarded by our Master or are we
wicked servants who will be punished and cast out where there will be
whaling and gnashing of teeth?
Jesus is coming to reward to reward his
servants. What reward do you and I expect?
Feelings are DECEPTIVE, feelings are
our FLESH and people go after feelings, they want to FEEL GOOD.
Christians go to a church that preaches a NICE MESSAGE that makes
them feel good, they walk out and they say:”We are uplifted! We
felt so GOOD.”
It is not pleasant to be disciplined
and corrected when we do wrong but if we do not accept discipline and
correction we will end up in the wrong place. We must not go after
nice feelings and feeling good because then we will turn away from
Jesus. It is rather better to be disciplined by God and to correct
ourselves, to stay in the race. Jesus will not always send us to nice
places or give us a nice task to do. His assignments, those things
that He sends us to do, are often not pleasant but we can only be
pleasing to Him IF we obey Him.
It is not pleasant to correct or
discipline a child. It is not pleasant to tell your friends they must
repent or they will end up in hell, they might reject you. But if we
care for them we will tell them the truth. The truth is often not
pleasant but if we love the truth it will set us free and save us.
We must be seeking obedience and the
approval of God at any cost, even at the cost of rejection and
persecution. If we go after pleasure and feeling good we will not
follow Jesus Christ. Following Jesus Christ is a lonely and often
unpleasant road. Follow Jesus UNTIL THE END and you WILL FEEL GOOD
when you receive your reward.
I have made many videos pointing people to Jesus, sharing my testimony, sharing those things that Jesus has given me. I have many postings on the internet and there are many people watching the videos, many people reading, many people commenting. There are many people writing me letters, criticizing, they are telling me what to do, what not to do. There are many attacking me, persecuting me.
We will all stand before Jesus and we will all individually give account for what we have done in the flesh, for what we have done for the Kingdom of God. It is not the hearers, not the listeners, not the commenters, not the talkers but it is those who DO the will of God that will receive His approval. Each of us must make sure that we are doing what Jesus requires of us.
I will stand before Jesus and give account and so will you. Will Jesus be pleased with what I have done? Have I done enough? Have YOU done enough? Is He satisfied with us? Are we good workers for His kingdom? Are we bearing good fruit? Is He pleased with out fruit? That is the question that we need to answer for ourselves.
We need to ask Jesus every day:”Lord, am I doing enough? Lord, am I doing what I have been called to do? Am I serving the purpose of the Kingdom of God in such a way that I can enter in and become an heir of that Kingdom? Is Jesus pleased with YOU and with ME?
Jesus does not promise us a bed of
roses or an easy ride if we follow Him. He said that:”Whoever
wishes to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross every
day and come here, follow Me.” when you decide to follow Jesus you
embark on a steep and rough road but IF you endure until the end you
will have the prize of eternal life.
What is it that motivates a child of
God to keep on following Jesus every day? It is the prize of eternal
life. It is the treasure that he is building up in heaven. If we look
back and we long for the things of the world, the fleshpots of Egypt,
the pleasures of sin then we are not worthy of the kingdom of God, we
are not worthy of Jesus. Jesus said that whoever puts his hand to the
plow and looks back is not worthy of Me.
Are you on that rough and steep road?
Do you deny yourself every day, pick up your cross and follow Jesus
even though things are tough? Are you working on your treasure in
heaven? Do you have an expectation or will you stand naked before
Jesus on judgment day?
