The Gospel of Jesus is about GIVING

God gave LIFE to the world,  by

giving Jesus  Christ.  We read in John 3:16 “For God so
loved the world, that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." God
SACRIFICED His Son.
Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself, gave up
His life, to save the world. If we wish to follow Jesus and have
eternal life, then we have to sacrifice ourselves, our own
desires, ambitions, plans, even our life and follow Him. We read in
Romans 12:1,2. "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies
of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice,
acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2And
do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that
which is good and acceptable and perfect."

We read in 1
Peter 4:1 "Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh,
arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has
suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2so as to live the rest of
the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the
will of God. 3For the time already past is sufficient for you to have
carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of
sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and
abominable idolatries. 4In all this, they are surprised that you do
not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they
malign you; 5but they will give account to Him who is ready to judge
the living and the dead. 6For the gospel has for this purpose been
preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in
the flesh as men, they may live in the spirit according to the will
of God."
Jesus said: “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he
must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 25“For
whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his
life for My sake will find it. 26“For what will it profit a man if
he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man
give in exchange for his soul? 27“For the Son of Man is going to
come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY
EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS." Matthew 16:24-27.
That is
the cost of eternal life, the price that we have to pay to have
salvation. Just believing in Jesus will not save us if we do not
sacrifice our will, obey Jesus and follow Him until the end.

What do you trust in?

In times of trouble, where do we go to? Who or what do we trust in? Many Christians trust in  their church, or the Bible. I have seen a Catholic lady frantically holding onto her rosary.

Holding onto and trusting in people and objects is futile. The only one who can really help us is Jesus.

Many times in my life I was desperate and called on Jesus. He heard my prayer and answered. Jesus never fails. He delivers, helps and saves those who trust in Him and call on Him.

Facilitators and Self Vindicators

The true followers of
Jesus Christ are facilitators, disciple makers. They are concerned
about others, they want to bring others into fellowship with Jesus
Christ,. To them it is important that others would learn to hear His
voice, then to follow Him, that others would get to know Jesus Christ
for real, and therefore they do their utmost to bring others into
that close relationship with Jesus. They share their experience,
their testimony,and they do their utmost to help others to learn to
follow Jesus Christ.

Religious people are
self-vindicators. To them it is important that their voice be heard,
that their opinion be understood. To them it is important to justify
themselves and to justify their faith in their own salvation. They
are concerned about themselves. They are not concerned about other
people, other believers. They are not concerned about souls that are
being lost. You can often see it when you read the comments of people
that comment on video blogs. The true followers of Jesus Christ are
concerned about bringing the other people into that relationship with
Jesus whereas the religious people try to vindicate themselves. They
try to show off their Bible knowledge or express their own opinion.
They are arrogant and self-centered.

A tree is known by its
fruit. We should be concerned about the kingdom of God. We should be
concerned about people who are being lost every day. We should be
concerned about those who do not know the way, who do not know Jesus
Christ. We should be concerned about the approval of Jesus Christ,
not about our own status or our own recognition. We should not
vindicate ourselves. Jesus Christ vindicates each and every true
disciple. We do not need to defend ourselves. We do not need to
impress other people. All we need to do is to bring others to Jesus,
because we care, because we care for their souls, because we care for
the kingdom of God, and because the love of Christ has been poured
out in our hearts and we want to see the kingdom of our Lord and
Master grow.

Our concern is bringing
others to Jesus while we ourselves follow Jesus Christ and seek to
please Him every day.

Take Control

There is one thing without which you cannot follow Jesus Christ, and you cannot do what is pleasing to Him, and that is SELF CONTROL. The whole world is in the power of the evil one, and most believers, who profess to be Christians are also in the power of satan, because they say that they cannot stop sinning.

Jesus Christ puts you in control, if you submit to Him. Jesus Christ sets you FREE, He makes you FREE. If the Son of God has set you free, you will be FREE and free indeed. You will be in control.

The fruit of the Spirit is SELF CONTROL. If you cannot control yourself then you are being controlled by others and by demons. Then you are out of control. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ will never control you, He guides you. But you have to be in control of your life in order to follow Jesus Christ, because you must make a constant decision all the time, to follow and obey Jesus Christ, and if you are being in controlled by your lusts, by other people, by demons, by influences from the outside, by fear, then you are a slave to those things. If you cannot stop sinning, you are a slave to sin, and you cannot follow Jesus Christ.

The wages of sin is death. Those who disobey Jesus Christ cannot please Him and they will perish.. You need to take control of your life or else you will end up in hell. You need to take control. You need to control yourself and listen to the Holy Spirit, go after Jesus Christ. You need to take control of yourself. You need to resist the devil and he will flee from you. You need to go after Jesus Christ every day to have salvation. But if you are not in control you are being controlled.

Obey Jesus Christ, repent of your sin, of your wickedness, turn away from evil, submit yourself to Jesus, be pure and be holy, control yourself, do what is pleasing to God, be baptized in the Holy Spirit and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Take control of yourself or you will end up in hell.

Deny Self vs Develop Self

All normal people are about themselves, about improving themselves, promoting themselves. They live for SELF. They live a selfish life, but those who belong to the kingdom of God, who follow Jesus Christ, have to DENY themselves. They have to live for the Kingdom of God, for the King, Jesus Christ, not for themselves.

That is why most people will not follow Jesus Christ. Most believers do not understand that the kingdom of God is not about THEM but about Jesus Christ. It is not about preserving themselves but about seeking the approval of Jesus Christ, of doing His will and living a life that is pleasing to Him. It is not about pleasing other people and being  accepted by other people, it is about being approved of by God.

If we still seek to improve ourselves, preserve ourselves and to please people, to impress other people, then we cannot be seeking the approval of God. Then we are still carnal people. If we belong to the kingdom of God then we seek the approval of God, we seek His will and our prayer, from our heart is:"Thy will be done, Thy kingdom come." It is not about what we want and what we feel. It is about the WILL OF GOD.

If we do not DENY OUR SELVES and go after Jesus Christ and seek His will, His approval, then we cannot be of the kingdom of God and we will not have eternal life. Salvation is about DENYING ourselves and living for the King, Jesus Christ, seeking His approval and His righteousness, living according to His commands and DOING that which is pleasing to Him.

Are we really following Jesus Christ? Do we deny self or are we still seeking the approval and acceptance of men?

Who is your BOSS?

If you follow Jesus Christ then He becomes your BOSS. You willfully submit to Him and you OBEY Him, you REPENT, that means you TURN AWAY from doing what you want to do and you do what He commands, you OBEY Him. You do not only stop sinning and going after your own lusts and the pleasures of the flesh but you go after the WILL OF GOD.

How can you follow Jesus if you cannot see Him? You OBEY the gospel of Jesus Christ. Firstly you go on your knees, you repent and you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Master, your BOSS, to OBEY Him and to SERVE Him for the rest of your life. You immediately change your ways, you immediately get your focus on Jesus Christ and doing His will. You OBEY Him, you are baptized in water and then He promised His SPIRIT, the Holy Spirit, to be IN you to GUIDE you every step of the way.

If we do not have the Spirit of Christ IN US, His very own presence, then we cannot follow Him. If we do not OBEY Him then He is not our BOSS. Then we ourselves are the BOSS.

If I do what I like to do. I do what I feel like doing. I follow my own desires, my own ambitions, and then I AM THE BOSS, Jesus Christ is not the boss.

If Jesus Christ is not EVERYTHING in my life then He is not my LORD, He is not my MASTER and I do not belong to His kingdom. Then I am the boss, I am the king and I serve myself.

We need to FOLLOW and OBEY Jesus Christ. We need to be baptized in water and SEEK the Holy Spirit, the INFILLING with His Spirit who will guide us and teach us and show us the way, every day, until the very end. If we stop following Him then we do not serve Him any more. We need to KEEP ON FOLLOWING, OBEYING and SERVING Jesus Christ as the BOSS of our lives UNTIL THE VERY END.

Reading the Bible, going to church, being religious, praying my own little prayers and doing my own little thing cannot save me. We have to be led by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit. Those who are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons of God. If you are led by the Spirit of God then Jesus Christ is your BOSS.

Who is your boss? Is Jesus Christ your boss. If Jesus Christ is not your boss then you are LOST and you will perish in DAMNATION.

Self Centered Baby Christians

Most Christian believers never grow up to spiritual maturity. They perish as spiritual babies. Most believers are SPIRITUAL BABIES because they are self centered. Everything is about themselves. They want Jesus to do everything for them, they want to be nursed, they want to be cherished. They want to be taken care of, everything is about themselves.
The kingdom of God is not about you and me, it is about Jesus Christ. It is about denying ourselves, picking up our cross and following Jesus It is about  going after Jesus, about seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all the other things will be added unto us. People want to feel loved, they want to feel appreciated,  they want a pat on the shoulder all the time, they want to be encouraged, they want to feel loved. Jesus SHOWED HIS LOVE for you and me on Calvary, He DIED, He gave His life for us, He PROVED it. The only way we can prove our love for Him is to DIE TO SELF and to LIVE FOR HIM, to grow up and to be spiritually mature, to get up on our feet, pick up our cross and go after Him, testify for Him, live for Him.
Get rid of your sins, get rid of your pet demons, those good friends of yours that have been with you all your life, those things that you loved more than Jesus. KICK THEM OUT and get serious. People say:”I cannot stop sinning.” They don't WANT to stop sinning, they LOVE their sin. They love their demons, they don't love Jesus. They want Jesus to come and kick the demons out and pat them on the back every day.
If you want eternal life you have to GROW UP, pick up your cross and follow Jesus Christ. GO AFTER HIM, PRAISE Him, testify for Him. Stop moaning, stop whining, stop complaining and crying and being a spiritual cry baby. Grow up, get serious about Jesus Christ, thank Him, praise Him, give Him glory because He is worthy. We have nothing to cry about. We must just thank and praise Jesus every day because He is God, He is Lord. He has been looking after you and me all our lives while we have been busy with OURSELVES.
Grow up, dear friend and follow Jesus, become mature in Him or else you will perish as a spiritual baby.

Greater than Jesus Christ

Many people say that they believe in Jesus Christ but very few serve Him as Lord and Master. If Jesus is Lord and Master then He is greater than everything and anything in your life, then you regard Him above all things, then He is MASTER.
To many believers, many other things are greater than Jesus, their government, their wife, their husband, their own priorities, their opinion, their country, their pastor, their doctor, many other things are greater to them than Jesus Christ. If anything is greater to us than Jesus Christ then He is NOT our Lord and Master and we are not serving Him and He will also reject us.
If we do not serve Him as LORD and MASTER then we do not belong to HIM and we do not belong to HIS KINGDOM. If we do not give HIM the RESPECT and REVERENCE that is due to Him then Jesus Christ is not the greatest in our lives and we are not part of the Kingdom of Heaven and we will not enter His Kingdom, we will not have eternal life.
Is Jesus Christ greater than everything in YOUR life and in mine?
