Fleshly desires lead to sin and HELL

We all have needs and we also have

desires. There is a difference between desires and needs. We need
certain things to live, like food and shelter. There are also things
that we desire and lust after. Those things lead to sin if we allow
our desires and lusts to drive us. We are all tempted in various
ways, every day, but unless we resist temptation we will fall into
sin and end up in hell.

We read in James 1:13Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14But each
one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.
15Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin
is accomplished, it brings forth death.

The wages of sin is death. “The soul
that sins will die,” he will perish, in hell. That is why we need
to repent of sin, stop sinning and SIN NO MORE. Jesus grants
forgiveness and pardon of past sins if we accept Him, repent and be
baptized for the forgiveness of sin and then SIN NO MORE, but if we
keep on sinning we will end up in hell. We read in Hebrews 10:26 “For
if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the
truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a
terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE
WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.” We have to, at all cost, avoid
temptation because it leads to sin, and sin leads to death, eternal
damnation.

How shall we avoid temptation? Should
we lock ourselves away or go live in seclusion in a monastery?
Certainly not. Let us learn from those who followed Jesus before us.

The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, a
young man and follower of Jesus in 2 Timothy 2: 22 “Now FLEE
FROM YOUTHFUL LUSTS and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace,
with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.”

The apostle John wrote in 1 John 2:15
“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves
the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that
is in the world, the LUST OF THE FLESH and the LUST OF THE EYES and
the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the
world. 17The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but
the one who does the will of God lives forever.“

How will we do the will of God so that
we will live for ever? We need to be led by the Holy Spirit, as Paul
wrote in Romans 8:13,14 “ 12So then, brethren, we are under
obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— 13for
if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the
Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will
live. 14For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these
are sons of God.“

This begs for another question: How do
we receive the Holy Spirit? Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to all
those who believe in Him and therefor obey Him, repent and are
baptized in water. He will baptize them in the Holy Spirit and give
of His Spirit to dwell in them, to teach and guide them into holiness
and fruitfulness, into doing His will. Those who have received the
Holy Spirit must follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Paul further writes in Galatians 5:16.
“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the
desire of the flesh. 17For the flesh sets its desire against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition
to one another, so that you may not do the things that you
please.  19Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which
are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20idolatry, sorcery,
enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes,
dissensions, factions, 21envying, drunkenness, carousing, and
things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned
you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom
of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness,
self-control; against such things there is no law. 24Now those
who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions
and desires.  25If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by
the Spirit.”

What does it mean to crucify the flesh?
Crucifixion means to nail it to a cross and thereby utterly destroy
it, kill it. We have to kill our fleshly desires, ignore them, regard
them as dead. We have to crucify our flesh, and follow the guidance
of the Holy Spirit, then we will not run after the desires of our
flesh which will cause us to sin and end up in hell.

We do not only need to stop sinning and
be holy, we need to bear fruit for the kingdom of God. We need to
testify of Jesus, bring others to Him, so that they can also obey Him
and have eternal life. If we do not bear fruit, we will get cut off
and burned as Jesus explained. We read in John 15:1,2 “I am the
true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. 2He CUTS
OFF EVERY BRANCH IN ME THAT BEARS NO FRUIT.

We need to actively follow the guidance
of the Holy Spirit to be pleasing to Jesus and have eternal life.

Have you been born again? Have you
accepted Jesus, repented, been baptized in water for the forgiveness
of your sins? Have you been baptized in the Holy Spirit and do you
follow His guidance every day? If you keep on following after your
fleshly desires, you will sin and end up in hell.

Praying for a Breakthrough

You will sometimes hear believers say that they are praying for a breakthrough, a breakthrough in their finances, a breakthrough in the things that they want from God. The truth is that Jesus Christ will supply in all our needs if we seek His will, His kingdom.

The kingdom of God is not about a breakthrough in your and my desires. It is about submitting ourselves to the will of God and praying like Jesus commanded, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done." It is a about denying ourselves, our own plans, and our own ambitions and our own visions, and going after Jesus, picking up our cross and following Him every day.

The kingdom of God is not about us and our desires. It is about doing the will of God. You do not need a breakthrough. You need to follow Jesus Christ. You need to submit yourself to Him, ask His guidance and follow Him.

Without Jesus Christ we can do nothing. We need to perform His will, His works. We need to submit ourselves to Him, obey Him and receive from Him, His guidance. We need to seek His guidance, follow Him and do His will.

When Jesus goes ahead of you and you follow Him, then He makes all things work together for good, because you are seeking to do His will, you are seeking the kingdom of God.

Stop praying for a breakthrough and submit yourself to Jesus. Seek His will, seek His kingdom and He will guide you. He will use you for His kingdom. While you are still seeking your own desires, you are selfish and self-centered, you are in rebellion against God.

Submit yourself to Jesus, seek His will and follow Him.

Sacrifice your WILL

If you want to follow Jesus and have eternal life you have to SACRIFICE YOUR WILL to Jesus Christ, your own desires, your own pleasures, your own ambitions, you have to give it all up and submit yourself to Jesus Christ and DO what He tells you to do. You have to live in obedience to Him.

Jesus said:”Whoever WISHES to come after me must DENY HIMSELF, pick up his cross every day and come here follow Me.” You DENY YOURSELF, you don't go where you want to do, you don't DO what you want to do, you SUBMIT yourself to Jesus. You deny yourself your own pleasures, your own desires, your own ambitions and you go after Jesus Christ, you DO what He tells you to do. You become a servant, a slave, to the Kingdom of God. Jesus said:”Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the other things will be added unto you.” Do not worry about the things of the world. Do not worry about what you will eat, what you will drink, where and how you will live, go after Jesus Christ and He will guide you. He will tell you which job to do. It might not be the job of your choice, He might put you into a job that will utterly humble you but because you follow Jesus you DO what He tells you to do, because you have accepted Him as your MASTER.

If we are not willing to sacrifice our will, to DENY OURSELVES and to utterly submit to Jesus, He cannot be our LORD, He cannot be our MASTER and if we reject Him, if we disregard Him then He will also disregard us, He will REJECT us! He will say to us:”Go away I never knew you, you worker of wickedness, go away, you would never follow Me, you would not go with Me.” If we are not willing to submit to Jesus right now in this life and follow Him until the very end then we will have no business with Him when we come to the end of this life because then our life will END.

Are we willing to submit to Jesus and LIVE? Do we truly want eternal life? Do we want Jesus Christ?

Possessed Compelled Driven DOOMED SINNERS

Sinners are controlled by satan and that is why they display the nature of satan. They are POSSESSED, they cannot do what they WANT to do. That is why many people say that they cannot stop sinning, they are compelled by demons that possess them, they are driven by lust and evil selfish desires, they DO NOT HAVE A FREE WILL. They are POSSESSED by satan.

If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master then He sets you FREE so that you have a FREE WILL again and you CAN DO the will of God, you CAN STOP SINNING, you CAN DO what is pleasing to God because those whom the Son of God has set free will be FREE and FREE INDEED.

Many did accept Jesus Christ but they went back to sin, they went back to their former life style and they became entangled again, they became possessed by satan again, they became SLAVES OF SIN again. That is why most Christians say that they cannot stop sinning, they are SLAVES TO SIN, they are not free any more, they have LOST the FREEDOM OF THE SONS OF GOD, they are DOOMED and they WILL PERISH if they do not repent and go back to Jesus, do His will, live holy and righteously.

Are you FREE and LIBERATED? Are you WALKING WITH GOD? Are you DOING the will of God, being LED by the Holy Spirit and are you pleasing to Jesus? Or are you a SINNER, are you DOOMED?

Call on Jesus, submit yourself to Him and He will SET YOU FREE, then go with Him, follow Him every day in holiness and in righteousness. Exercise your freedom and DO the will of God. Sow GOOD SEED and you will reap eternal life. Follow Jesus Christ and you will be FREE indeed!

Feeding the Flesh

A person who is born again and who has the Spirit of Jesus Christ in him is focused on Jesus all the time. He is TUNED IN to the Holy Spirit, in him, and He follows the guidance of the Holy Spirit in everything that he does. His whole life is determined by the Spirit of God because he LISTENS and he FOLLOWS Jesus Christ. He seeks the will of God all the time.

But the natural person, normal person goes after the desires of his flesh, those things that give him pleasure. He tries to fit in with the world, with other people. He tries to please his wife, his children, his boss, his family, his friends, and that takes him away from Jesus Christ. People practice hobbies, they have certain passions in life, things that interest them. (TV, sports, video games...) That is the flesh. Those are the things that take our focus off Jesus Christ.

If we are not focused on Jesus and the kingdom of God and being pleasing to Jesus, then we turn our back on Him, we get busy with other things and that is when we lose Jesus. The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:14 that those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. If we live according to our flesh, the desires of our flesh, then we cannot please God and we will perish, but if we by being tuned in to Jesus, LISTEN to the Holy Spirit and DO the WILL OF GOD, then we will LIVE.

The difference between a child of God and the rest is that a child of God is tuned in to the Spirit of God and CHOOSES to do the will of God even if he upsets other people, even if they reject him, even if he gets penalized. But if we seek to please people and run after our own desires we will perish.

The question is: Do we actively seek Jesus and do His will or are we feeding the flesh, our own flesh and the flesh of others? Who are we trying to please, Jesus or the flesh?

Spiritually Dysfunctional

Most people are SPIRITUALLY DYSFUNCTIONAL, they operate on the level of the physical, of their own mind, their common sense. Those who are led by the SPIRIT OF GOD, they are the children of God.

If we are led by our common sense, our own mind, by OUR thought patterns then we are fleshly people, we operate on the level of the physical. If we are led by our OWN interpretation of the Bible then we are fleshly people. We need to be led by the Spirit of God. God is Spirit and those who worship Him, who FOLLOW Him and OBEY Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

The child of God is SPIRITUALLY TUNED IN, he is led by the Spirit of God. His deeds and his actions, his decisions are determined, led, by the Spirit of God. He GETS HIS GUIDANCE in everything from the Spirit of God because God is his father and he LISTENS, he inquires of his father.

Are you are child of God? Are you led by the Spirit of God. If we are not led by the Spirit of God we cannot be pleasing to God because only those who are led by the Spirit of God, THEY are the sons of God.

The Profit Motive

The whole world is driven by the profit motive. People are always scheming, thinking of how they can benefit from what they say or what they do. Their motives are selfish. Even preachers and churches want to benefit from the people.

The child of God is motivated by the Spirit of God, his only desire is to be pleasing to Jesus. What is YOUR and my motive? Why do we do things? Do we want to achieve some selfish ambition or gain some benefit or are we seeking to be pleasing to Jesus? What motivates us, the Spirit of God or our own selfish desires? Are we TRULY children of God?

It is NOT a GAME

To many people life is a game, and they play it according to their rules. They think it's a drama where they themselves are the main player and they do things THEIR WAY. They manipulate other people and they do anything to achieve their goals, their desires and their lusts. They think that they can also manipulate God and they conduct their religion in exactly the same way.

They interpret the Bible in THEIR WAY according to THEIR insight and THEIR preference and they think that God will play along with them. To them life is a joke because they control everything and they are always the winners!

Life is NOT a game and WE are not in control. God is in control and if we do not submit to God and do things HIS WAY we will perish. It doesn't matter how YOU “understand” the Bible or how YOU in YOUR wisdom interpret the scriptures. What matters is WHAT GOD SAYS and whether we OBEY HIM and DO what is pleasing to HIM. If we do not please Him we will perish.

We cannot do things our way. It is either GOD'S WAY or it is NO WAY. Therefor we have to humble ourselves before Jesus Christ, SEEK Him, OBEY Him and DO what He commands us to do. We need to seek HIS WISDOM and HIS GUIDANCE and DO what He tells us to do. If we lean on our own understanding we will perish. It is NOT a GAME, it is SERIOUS.

It is time to stop playing games and to realize that eternity depends on whether we OBEY Jesus Christ and DO what He commanded us to do. If we do not SEEK Him and OBEY HIM we will perish. Jesus Christ is LORD. None of us are MAIN PLAYERS, we are either servants of the kingdom of God or we are servants of sin and slaves of the lusts of our flesh.

If we live according to our desires and our flesh we will perish but if we SEEK Jesus Christ OBEY HIM and are led by His Spirit we will LIVE. Are you still playing religious games or have you stopped playing and got serious with Jesus Christ?

Most Christians are FAKE and will PERISH in HELL

Most Christians do not KNOW, FOLLOW or OBEY Jesus Christ. Most Christians will perish in hell. Most Christians have never denied themselves, have never picked up their cross and have never started following Jesus Christ. Most Christians are not even baptized in water. Jesus Christ will say to Most Christians:”Go away I never knew you.”
Most Christians have taken on a belief, a religion, based on the truth while they themselves are denying the truth. The truth IS Jesus Christ and OBEDIENCE to Him, a close relationship with Him; obeying His words, following Him every day, that is the truth.
Most Christians never stopped sinning. Most Christians never gave up their own desires, they are running after their own desires, fulfilling themselves. They are slaves to their own lusts, it is all about THEM not about the kingdom of God. It is all about what they can get out of it. Jesus called us to serve HIM. If you are running after your desires you are a SLAVE TO SIN. If we live according to the FLESH we will DIE but if we live according to the Spirit of God then we will LIVE. The only way that the Spirit of God will guide you is if you DENY YOURSELF and GO AFTER Jesus, SEEK Him and OBEY Him. Obey His words, REPENT, STOP SINNING, be righteous and holy, be BAPTIZED IN WATER for the washing off of your sin, SIN NO MORE, open yourself to the Holy Spirit of God, invite Him in and SEEK Him EVERY DAY. Go after Him and He will reveal Himself to you. But if you go after the lusts of your flesh you will reap destruction. You have to GO AFTER Jesus and DO the will of God, then you will have eternal life.
Most Christians are going after their flesh. They are not going after Jesus nor are they seeking the kingdom of God and they will reap destruction. Are YOU going after Jesus, denying yourself, picking up your cross every day and following Him? Or are you doing what YOU please, what YOU want to do? If you live according to your flesh you will perish but if by the Spirit of God dwelling in you, you mortify, KILL the deeds of the flesh and DO the works of God then you will live. Are you DOING the works of God? Are you OBEYING Jesus Christ or are you also a deceived, lost Christian on his way to hell?

Greater than Jesus Christ

Many people say that they believe in Jesus Christ but very few serve Him as Lord and Master. If Jesus is Lord and Master then He is greater than everything and anything in your life, then you regard Him above all things, then He is MASTER.
To many believers, many other things are greater than Jesus, their government, their wife, their husband, their own priorities, their opinion, their country, their pastor, their doctor, many other things are greater to them than Jesus Christ. If anything is greater to us than Jesus Christ then He is NOT our Lord and Master and we are not serving Him and He will also reject us.
If we do not serve Him as LORD and MASTER then we do not belong to HIM and we do not belong to HIS KINGDOM. If we do not give HIM the RESPECT and REVERENCE that is due to Him then Jesus Christ is not the greatest in our lives and we are not part of the Kingdom of Heaven and we will not enter His Kingdom, we will not have eternal life.
Is Jesus Christ greater than everything in YOUR life and in mine?
