The Yoke of Jesus

If we accept Jesus Christ
as our Lord and Master, then He accepts us as children and He treats
us as children. We have to submit ourselves to Him, commit ourselves
to Him, because Jesus is committed to us. He said:"I will never
leave you and I will never forsake you." It is not his will that
we fail in our walk with Him but that we endure with Him and follow
him until the very end and find the entry into the kingdom of heaven.

Not many people will keep
on following Jesus until the end. Jesus is committed to help us to
enter His kingdom, to finally get into heaven, but we have to take
His yoke upon us. We have to obey His words. His commandments and
follow Him until the very end. We have to learn from Him. Jesus said,
and I read from Matthew 11: 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn
from Me for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest
for your souls, for My yoke is easy and my burden is light." It
is not easy to follow Jesus. It is not easy to live according to His
words, His commandments, the words that He spoke as also recorded in
the Gospels; but we have to walk in His ways and endure with Him
until the end to have eternal life. We have to repent of all sin and
be baptized in water, we have to go after Him with all our power,
commit our lives to Him and be led by the Holy Spirit, to be able

to be pleasing to Him, to
bear fruit, and enter His kingdom.

If we stray or go wrong or
if we do not understand what He is teaching us, then He will
discipline us, because he needs to purify us so that we can share in
His holiness. Without holiness no man shall see God. Many believers
find themselves in a difficulty, in sickness and in pain, after
committing to following Jesus Christ. They might be taking medication
and that medication does not help for the pain. It is because Jesus
is speaking to them through their sickness, through that pain. He is
teaching them obedience. He is trying to get their attention to make
them understand that they need to now submit to Him. They belong to
Him. They have committed to Him. They cannot live their lives to
please themselves anymore. They cannot live like the world anymore.
They have to live like children of God. The discipline of Jesus can
be very severe because it is not His will that we perish.

If we read in the Old
Testament how the children of Israel that were delivered from
oppression in Egypt, how they were led out into the wilderness and
how they never got to know the ways of the Lord. They never learned
His ways. Those who followed Moses through the Red Sea and into the
wilderness did not enter into the Promised Land because our they
never got to know the ways of the Lord, they never learned his ways.
They all perished, they were struck down in the wilderness because
they did not get to know His ways. Only their children went into the
promised land, and they went under the leadership of Joshua because
not even Moses was fit to lead them into the Promised Land. We need
to submit ourselves to Jesus and understand that it is His will that
we learn His ways. If we do not learn His ways and if we do not
change and become like Him, we will not enter His kingdom.

If you are going through
difficulty, through pain and suffering, after you have accepted Jesus
Christ, examine yourself. Examine your life. Are you following Jesus?
Are you living according to His words? Are you pleasing to Him? Are
you serious about following Him, because He is serious about leading
you into His kingdom, but if you do not respond, if you do not learn
from Him, you will not enter His kingdom. We need to take the yoke of
Jesus upon us, obey Him, listen to Him, follow Him, learn from Him to
be able to enter His kingdom.

It is the love of God, His
mercy and grace, that is leading us to repentance, and to obedience,
to knowledge of Jesus Christ. He is leading us to understanding of
what it means to be a child of God. If we do not learn and gain
understanding we are not fit for the kingdom of heaven. We have to
take His yoke upon us and learn from Him, follow and obey Him until
the very end, because strait is the gate, narrow is the door, and few
there be that find it.

Submit to Jesus, yield to
His discipline and direction, learn from Him, and He will guide you
into His kingdom.

The Surrendered Life

Salvation is not just about believing in Jesus Christ like so many people wrongly believe. Salvation is about knowing following and obeying Jesus Christ, living a life that is totally surrendered to Jesus. Without Jesus we can do nothing. The only way that we can be pleasing to God is if we follow and
obey Jesus. Jesus is the true vine and those who are born again are the branches. The branch cannot of its own bear any fruit unless it is grafted into the vine and stays in the vine. Therefore without Jesus we can do nothing.
We have to totally surrender ourselves to Jesus and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to be able to do His will. The kingdom of God is about doing the will of God under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ. Unless we totally surrender to Jesus, forsake everything else, go after Him, follow and obey Him; unless we do that, we cannot be pleasing to Him, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Many people just believe in Jesus for salvation. Their faith is in vain because that faith cannot please God. It is only when we totally surrender to Jesus, listen to His voice, follow Him and do His will, that we can be part of his kingdom and do what is pleasing to Him.
Are we living a life that is surrendered to Jesus Christ?

Submit your WILL to Jesus Christ

There is one thing that prevents us from following Jesus Christ and from doing His will, what He requires of us, and that is OUR OWN WILL.

We cannot follow Jesus Christ and be pleasing to Him unless we submit our WILL to Him. It is not about what I think or what I want to do for Jesus Christ. It is all about what He wants to use me for. But unless I submit myself to Him He cannot use me. If I do not submit to Jesus I will not leave everything and go where He sends me. Many people go out on their own FOR Jesus, but they go WITHOUT Jesus. It is not what WE want to do for Him, it is what HE wants us to do. We have to submit our will and ourselves to Him before we can SERVE HIM and if we do not serve Him then we are useless for the kingdom of God, then we cannot be fruitful.

Every tree that does not bear fruit will get cut off and burned. We must submit our WILL to Jesus Christ before we can do HIS WILL.

Many believers give in to peer pressure. Many are controlled by family, friends, their spouses, they cannot do the will of God. They cannot be pleasing to Jesus. We have to submit to HIM ALONE and let Him guide us. WAIT on Him and let Him direct your footsteps, and when He sends you, you must GO.

We cannot SERVE Jesus Christ and do His will unless we submit to Him. We cannot be part of His kingdom unless we serve HIM as Lord, King and Master.

Trade Autonomy for Holy Spirit Direction

The kingdom of God is about God, it is not about you and me. The popular gospel that is being preached in churches today talks about YOUR SALVATION as though everything is about YOU, about YOUR life, about YOUR pleasure, YOUR prosperity, YOUR welfare. The kingdom of God  is about GOD, about HIS WILL. It is not about OUR plans and OUR ambitions, OUR opinion. Most believers are terribly opinionated. They are so sure of THEIR SALVATION based on THEIR Bible knowledge and they quote you scriptures to prove their salvation. they ARE SAVED. It is not about YOU or ME, it is about Jesus Christ, His kingdom, HE is LORD, HE is KING, HE is MASTER.

If we want LIFE, eternal life we have to trade our autonomy, our independence, our ambitions, our opinion for the will of  God. We must submit ourselves to Jesus Christ and we must DENY ourselves. Forget about yourself. Forget about your talents, your ambitions, your wisdom, your knowledge, your opinion, it DOESN'T MATTER. All that matters is Jesus Christ, His wisdom, His plan, His kingdom. If you want LIFE, eternal life, you have to pray the Lords Prayer meaning it:"THY will be done, THY Kingdom come..." Not MY WILL be done, it is not about ME. It is about Jesus Christ. It is not about how I understand it, how I read the Bible, about MY doctrine and MY opinion, It is about the GUIDANCE  of the Holy Spirit, HOW HE DIRECTS me into doing the will of God, how He teaches me, not how I understand it; how HE gives me wisdom and understanding of of the kingdom of God, of the WILL of GOD, of how I fit into God's plan, not my plan. Not how I want to serve God and what I want to do for Jesus and for the kingdom of God.

Without Jesus we can do nothing. He is not interested in our ambitions and our plans. we have to SUBMIT all of that, DENY all of that, FORGET about it and go after Jesus. Submit yourself to Him and say:"Lord Jesus, please guide me, please teach me, Thy will be done, not what I want, not where I want to go, not what I think I deserve" because I deserve nothing. It is all about Jesus Christ., His kingdom, because He gives me life. I deserve NOTHING, I deserve HELL but because He gave His life for me and He called me to be His servant, He will give me LIFE if I live my life to please Him.

Without Jesus Christ we can do nothing. It is not about us, about OUR life, about OUR salvation, it is about the kingdom of God. we have to submit ourselves to Jesus and live to please Him.

Are we pleasing to Jesus? Are we doing His will? The only way we can know  that is IF we HEAR from Him, and that is why we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You can go and put your Bible away because your Bible will not tell you whether Jesus is pleased with you. YES, if you OBEY the words of Jesus as recorded in your Bible,  you will KNOW that you have to be led by the Holy Spirit, DIRECTED by the Holy Spirit to be able to do the will of God and to bear fruit.

If we do not bear fruit we will get CUT OFF and BURNED. It is not about US. It is about Jesus Christ, His kingdom and doing HIS will. That is SALVATION. That is LIFE.

Jesus will not YIELD to you

Jesus Christ ALONE is the way the truth and the life, and He gives eternal life to those who OBEY Him. His words are the words of eternal life, those words are also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus will not YIELD to anybody. Those who disobey Him will perish. Jesus will not conform to the doctrines and teachings of any church or to the opinion of any Bible scholar.

Jesus Christ is LORD. Jesus said:”Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all nations,”(His words), those who have believed and who OBEY Him and have been baptized, will be saved but those who have disbelieved, and who disobey Him WILL PERISH. For those who have believed certain signs will follow. They will speak in new tongues, they will cast out demons, they will lay their hands on the sick and they will recover.

The words of Jesus are the words of LIFE, ETERNAL LIFE, to those who OBEY Him but those who DISOBEY Him WILL PERISH. If you want eternal life you have to obey the words of Jesus and He promised to give the Holy Spirit, His Spirit, in those who OBEY Him and the Holy Spirit will guide them into all truth. Those who refuse to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit will perish because they refuse to follow Jesus.

Many go after their own OPINIONS and their own interpretation of the Bible, they will perish! Obey Jesus, REPENT, and be baptized in water, and ask Him for His Spirit to dwell in you. Yield to His Spirit and you will have LIFE. If you disobey Jesus and His Spirit living in you, you will certainly perish. Jesus is the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE, there is no other. Without Jesus THERE IS NO LIFE.

PRAY IT RIGHT

Carnal Christians and unbelievers try to fix their problems through worldly means, natural ways. They do like the rest of the world. If they have relationship problems with other people they want to talk it right, preachers want to preach it right. Religious people apply a Bible verse and they want to manipulate people by using scripture, or they attend some magical seminar to sort out their relationships. They might go to the psychologist and talk about it or they go on medication. When the carnal Christian is sick then he goes to the doctor or he swallows a pill.

But the child of God PRAYS, he PRAYS about all his problems and he submits himself and his problem to Jesus Christ who KNOWS all things and who can fix all things. That is the difference between a true child of God and a carnal Christian who is the same as an unbeliever because he does not really believe that God can do anything about his problem. He has either got to get help from outside, from some professional or he will try to fix it himself because he does not KNOW Jesus Christ nor does he TRUST Jesus Christ.

A child of God, a true follower of Jesus Christ firstly submits himself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and asks the Lord to examine HIM, to make sure that HE is in the faith, that HE is in the will of God, say:”Lord examine me, test me and try me, see if there is in ME an evil way. Please lead ME on the right way.” And then I can with confidence take all my problems to Jesus and submit them to HIM, put all my problems under HIS LORDSHIP under HIS GOVERNMENT and TRUST HIM that He will fix it. If I do not trust Him and I try to fix it myself HE WILL NOT FIX IT because He does not share His glory with anybody.

A true child of God submits everything, all His problems, his whole life to Jesus Christ and then he himself stays focused on Jesus and makes sure that he stays in the will of God. Jesus said:”Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the other things will be added unto you.”

Don't try and fix it, pray it right but FIRST submit yourself to Jesus and then he will firstly fix YOU and He will fix your problem.

Do not FORCE Follow Jesus

Jesus Christ IS Lord and He REIGNS. Whatever He WILLS, He DOES. Everything belongs to Him and He is in UTTER CONTROL of everything. Whatever happens in this world is under His power and IN HIS CONTROL.

You cannot force Jesus Christ, you cannot make Him do what you want because He is Lord, He is KING, He is MASTER. What you need to do is you must FORCE YOURSELF to SUBMIT to Jesus, to FOLLOW and to OBEY Him, IF you want to be part of His Kingdom and have Eternal Life. Jesus Christ gives eternal life to those who FOLLOW Him, who OBEY Him, who DO what is pleasing to Him.

You cannot force others to follow and obey Jesus but you have to FORCE YOURSELF, you have to SUBMIT yourself, DENY your flesh, deny yourself your own instincts, your own desires and FORCE YOURSELF to follow and obey Jesus Christ, even against that which you want. You have to SERVE Him as LORD and OBEY Him. You have to AT ALL COST repent from serving yourself , OBEY Him, be holy, righteous and UTTERLY OBEDIENT to Jesus IF you want to be part of His Kingdom. If you don't, if you reject Him, you are not suitable for the Kingdom of God and you will not enter.

Those who love Jesus FORCE their way into the Kingdom of God by SUBMITTING THEMSELVES to Jesus. That is why Jesus said:”Whoever WISHES to come after Me must deny himself, pick up his cross and come here follow Me every day.” Are you FORCING YOURSELF to follow Jesus by submitting yourself to Him and do His will to be pleasing to Him and to SERVE Him as LORD?

If you will not SERVE Him, you will not enter His Kingdom and you will not have eternal life.

ONE with God

God created all things and all of His creation is in harmony with Him, that is, all things apart from man. God made man in His own image and He gave him the right and ability of self-determination. We can decide whether we want to be in harmony with God or whether we want to reject Him. We are LIKE GOD.

Sin and selfishness separates us from God. If we turn away from sin, deny our selfish desires and submit to God, obey Jesus Christ, accept Him as our Lord and Master, He brings us into HARMONY WITH GOD and like the rest of His creation around us we come into harmony with Him and we DO THE WILL OF GOD.

If we do not come into harmony with God, if we do not obey Him and do His will we will perish. The wages of sin is death. If we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Master and we serve Him He gives us OF HIS SPIRIT, we become ONE SPIRIT WITH GOD, immortal for ever in harmony with God. Are you ONE WITH GOD or are you selfishly seeking your own desires and will you perish in eternal damnation because you reject your Creator?

Perfect Trust and Obedience

It requires PERFECT TRUST and PERFECT OBEDIENCE to follow Jesus Christ. If you do not trust Him you will not follow and obey Him. If you follow Jesus Christ you will often have to choose between obeying Him and obeying YOUR feelings, desires, common sense, the opinions of other people. You will often be alone because Jesus will take you on the narrow road, the road less traveled. He will lead you and guide you along narrow places, He will take you through the shadow of death where it seems impossible but He will also bring you next to green pastures where you find rest for your soul in the presence of your Master.

“The righteous will live by faith but if he withdraws My soul will have no pleasure in him.” Do you PERFECTLY TRUST Jesus Christ? Will you follow Him where He guides you? Or do you trust more in yourself, your own abilities your common sense and the advice of your friends?

You cannot follow Jesus Christ if you do not PERFECTLY TRUST Him above everything, even above yourself.

Rich People

Rich people are arrogant and self sufficient. They think that they control their own lives, they think that they rule the the world and they think that they can serve God on their own terms. A rich ruler came to Jesus and said to Him:”Master, What must I do to have eternal life?” and Jesus said to him:”Keep the commandments.” He said:”I have done all of that since my youth.” And Jesus said to him:”If you want to be PERFECT, sell all you have, give it to the poor and come here, follow Me.” He walked away very sad. And Jesus said:”It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven.”

Do you want to be PERFECT? Do you want to be part of the kingdom of God? Then you have to give up all your riches, your money, your position, your knowledge, your arrogance, become poor, submit yourself to Jesus and you will inherit the kingdom of God. Jesus said:”Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the other things will be added unto you.”

Do you want to be PERFECT and fit into the kingdom of Jesus Christ or do you want to be rich arrogant, self sufficient, in-submissive to Jesus and end up in eternal damnation?

You Deserve HELL

All men have sinned and come short of the glory of God and they all deserve hell, that includes you and me. But IF we repent of our wicked ways and we embrace Jesus Christ as LORD and MASTER and we FOLLOW Him until the very end then He will lead us into the Kingdom of God, He will GIVE us eternal life.

We will never be or never become DESERVING of the grace of God. WE ARE UNWORTHY and that is why only through Jesus Christ we have any hope of eternal life. Without Jesus we can do nothing but we must follow and obey Him until the very end. We must never become arrogant and think that we are better than anybody else or that we deserve anything because then we are close to the fall. We must HUMBLY SUBMIT ourselves to Jesus every day and follow Him until the very end. We must always be humble before Jesus Christ our Lord and Master and know that our life hangs on a thread, that thread is the grace of God. Let us not despise the Grace of God. Let us not become boastful because then we will fall.

Jesus Chris is LORD and we are UNDESERVING, UNWORTHY. Let us SERVE Jesus Christ as LORD so that He can be pleased with us and accept us into His Heavenly Kingdom.

Join the struggle

To follow Jesus Christ is a struggle every day and if you do follow Jesus you WILL feel the pain. Jesus said that we must deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Him every day. He also warned his disciples that they will be hated by all men. If you follow Jesus Christ this world will hate you and reject you.
Jesus said that we must take His yoke on us because his burden is light and His commandments are easy. That is when you FOLLOW Jesus and STAY with Him, then He will help you to overcome. He will help you to bear the load, but you will be tried, you will be tested and only those who endure until the end will have the prize of eternal life.
If you follow Jesus you have to sacrifice yourself unto the Lord. Therefor Paul writes in Romans 12:1 He says:“I beseech you brethren that you present your bodies as a living and a holy sacrifice, acceptable unto the Lord. That is your reasonable service.” That is what the Lord requires of us if we want eternal life. We need to sacrifice ourselves and present ourselves unto the Lord for HIS purpose to do HIS will. Only those who STAY with Jesus until the end and who overcome evil, themselves, the flesh and who OBEY Jesus Christ, only they will have the prize of eternal life.
It is a struggle until the very end. You have to overcome to win the prize. Stay focused on Jesus or else you will not be able to make it.
