It requires PERFECT TRUST and PERFECT
OBEDIENCE to follow Jesus Christ. If you do not trust Him you will
not follow and obey Him. If you follow Jesus Christ you will often
have to choose between obeying Him and obeying YOUR feelings,
desires, common sense, the opinions of other people. You will often
be alone because Jesus will take you on the narrow road, the road
less traveled. He will lead you and guide you along narrow places, He
will take you through the shadow of death where it seems impossible
but He will also bring you next to green pastures where you find rest
for your soul in the presence of your Master.
“The righteous will live by faith but
if he withdraws My soul will have no pleasure in him.” Do you
PERFECTLY TRUST Jesus Christ? Will you follow Him where He guides
you? Or do you trust more in yourself, your own abilities your common
sense and the advice of your friends?
You cannot follow Jesus Christ if you
do not PERFECTLY TRUST Him above everything, even above yourself.
