Seek the Kingdom not the Gifts

Many believers are seeking for the
gifts of God. They want eternal life, they want the Holy Spirit baptism,
they want the gifts of the Holy Spirit but they will not receive
because they do not obey Jesus.
Jesus did not command us to seek for
the gifts. He freely gives the gifts to those who obey Him. Jesus
commanded us to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then
He will freely give those gifts to us. We have been placed here for a
purpose and Jesus Christ called us for His purpose, to be Light in this
world, to work for His kingdom, to serve Him, and then He will freely
give us those wonderful gifts, eternal life, the gifts of the Spirit; in
order to equip us for service for His kingdom.
Are we seeking for
the gifts or do we seek His kingdom, His righteousness? Do we seek the
will of God and do we want to fulfill His purpose? If we only seek the
gifts we will receive nothing. We need to seek Jesus, His kingdom, His
righteousness, His purpose and work for His kingdom then we will freely
receive everything else that we need to do His will and in the end He
will give us the Kingdom.
May Jesus bless you.
