Follow the SPIRIT not an Image of Jesus Christ

Religious people are carnal, they are natural men. They go after images and words, they want to SEE what they believe in. God is SPIRIT and those who are born of the Spirit of God are spiritual people. They do not go after the physical, they go after the Spirit of  God.
Jesus Christ said that every man who is born of the Spirit of God is like the wind, you do not know where he comes from and where he is going, because he is of the Spirit of God.
Religious people cannot understand those who are of the Spirit of God because religious people are worldly; they are looking for something to hold on to, they want to see and image. They have an image of Jesus Christ and an image of God in their mind and many of them have images of Jesus and of God that they hold to, but they do not know God, because they are not of the Spirit of God.
Those who are born of God, they are the children of God, they are led by the Spirit of God, like the apostle Paul said:"Those who are being led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God."
God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. We can only worship Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth if we are born of the Spirit. We can only be led by the Spirit, if we have received the Holy Spirit.
His sheep hear His voice and they follow Him. They are spiritual people, they follow after the Spirit, not after the physical.
Have you been born of the Spirit of God? Do you know the Father of all spirits? Is He your Father, and are you being led by the Spirit of God? Are you a born again child of God?

Jesus Christ is not an Evangelical

Jesus Christ is not an Evangelical. Neither is He a Catholic nor of any of the other denominations. Jesus Christ is not a non-denominational. All of these denominations and groups have their own Jesus. They have created an IMAGE of Jesus that they preach. They have made up doctrines to their own liking and they promise a salvation which they themselves do not have, because they do not know Jesus Christ.

Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, not through a denomination or a group or a person. Jesus Christ is LORD. He is GOD. He is ABOVE and BEYOND description, but His words are clear. The gospel of Jesus Christ as recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are CLEAR. We have to obey HIM to have eternal life. Those who disobey Him will PERISH.

Repent and be baptized in water. STOP SINNING, be HOLY, ACCEPT Jesus Christ as your MASTER and live to please Him and He will give the Holy Spirit to teach you and to guide you every step of the way. Without Jesus Christ and His indwelling Holy Spirit you cannot KNOW Him and you cannot please Him.

You need to be a DISCIPLE of Jesus Christ, one of His SHEEP, who LISTEN to His VOICE and who FOLLOW Him and who DO what He commands them to do.

Your denomination, your church affiliation and your Bible knowledge cannot save you. Jesus Christ saves those who KNOW Him who OBEY Him and who FOLLOW Him. You need to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and to be led by His Holy Spirit, to have eternal life.

Do you have a denomination? Do you belong to a church or do you have Jesus Christ and do you belong to HIM? Do you have LIFE, eternal life?

The UNKNOWN Jesus Christ

The worldly modern day preachers and churches preach a different Jesus Christ from the one that the disciples followed and that Paul and the apostles preached. They have never MET Jesus Christ and therefor they do not KNOW Him, they do not FEAR Him and they do not RESPECT Him like those did who truly KNEW Him.

The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of MEN WHO SUPPRESS THE TRUTH IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, 19because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22PROFESSING TO BE WISE, THEY BECAME FOOLS, 23AND EXCHANGED THE GLORY OF THE INCORRUPTIBLE GOD FOR AN IMAGE IN THE FORM OF CORRUPTIBLE MAN and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.”

They modern day preachers have brought Jesus down to THEIR own level, down to their level of thinking, down to their CORRUPTION. Their minds are darkened and they have become FUTILE IN THEIR SPECULATIONS. They are preaching a Jesus, AN IMAGE, THAT DOES NOT EXIST, because THEY DO NOT KNOW HIM.

John the Baptist spoke of Jesus. I read Matthew 3:11 “As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; HE WILL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE. 12“His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but HE WILL BURN UP THE CHAFF WITH UNQUENCHABLE FIRE.”

Jesus Christ is the GOD OF FIRE and He will PURGE the earth and the heavens with FIRE. No sin and no sinners will stand in front of Him and that is why John the Baptist prepared the way for the coming of Jesus. We read in Matthew 3:7 “But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8“Therefore BEAR FRUIT IN KEEPING WITH REPENTANCE; 9and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father’; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham. 10“THE AXE IS ALREADY LAID AT THE ROOT OF THE TREES; THEREFORE EVERY TREE THAT DOES NOT BEAR GOOD FRUIT IS CUT DOWN AND THROWN INTO THE FIRE.”

If we do not bear GOOD FRUIT we will get CUT DOWN AND THROWN INTO THE FIRE! He will cleanse His threshing floor through and through. Sinners will not STAND in the presence of a holy God.

The apostle Peter KNEW Jesus Christ and he spoke from what he KNEW and from REVELATION that he received from Jesus. We read in 2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

11Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE OUGHT YOU TO BE IN HOLY CONDUCT AND GODLINESS, 12looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, IN WHICH RIGHTEOUSNESS DWELLS.”

We ought to be righteous people to stand in the presence of God, like the prophet Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 33

“14Sinners in Zion are terrified;

Trembling has seized the godless.

“WHO AMONG US CAN LIVE WITH THE CONSUMING FIRE?

WHO AMONG US CAN LIVE WITH CONTINUAL BURNING?”

15He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity,

He who rejects unjust gain

And shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe;

He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed

And shuts his eyes from looking upon evil;

16He will dwell on the heights,

His refuge will be the impregnable rock;

His bread will be given him,

His water will be sure.

17YOUR EYES WILL SEE THE KING IN HIS BEAUTY;

THEY WILL BEHOLD A FAR-DISTANT LAND.”

They will SEE the Kingdom of God.

“Those who are pure in heart will SEE God.” Sinners will not come into His presence.

If we are not PURE and HOLY and if we have not been purified by the FIRE of the Holy Spirit we cannot walk in the presence of God. We cannot say that “WE ARE ALL SINNERS.” If we are in a church where we are all sinners we will all be CONSUMED by the FIRE and the WRATH of God.

We read in Hebrews 12:28 “Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may OFFER TO GOD AN ACCEPTABLE SERVICE WITH REVERENCE AND AWE; 29for our God is a CONSUMING FIRE.”

If you meet Jesus Christ and you walk with Him He will baptize you with FIRE. He will cleanse you and He will purify you and you will not even tolerate the thought of sin. Sinners will not live in His presence. The apostles KNEW Jesus and therefor they wrote about what they KNEW, not about an IMAGE that they made up in their minds. They knew Jesus Christ and that was why Paul also wrote in Philippians 2:12 “continue to WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.”

There is no such thing as ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED, there is no such thing as A SINNING CHRISTIAN. You cannot walk with God AND walk with sin. You cannot watch TV and pornography and go along with the world and also walk with Jesus! YOU WILL BURN, you will be CONSUMED by His FIRE.

Rather ask Jesus to purge you and cleanse you by His FIRE, His Holy Spirit FIRE and then you can walk in holiness and righteousness WITH FIRE because our God is a CONSUMING FIRE. You cannot follow Jesus Christ AND sin. If you are still a sinner you do not know Jesus and you are not walking with Him, you are not following Him, you are walking with satan and you are on your way to HELL. WAKE UP and bow before Jesus, purify yourself , seek Him with all your heart and walk with Him, follow Him or else you will PERISH.

God does not care for YOUR plans and ambitions

All people have dreams and ambitions and they want to achieve certain goals in life, SELFISH GOALS, SELFISH AMBITION, it is all about THEM, THEMSELVES, THEIR pleasure, THEIR achievement. The first thing that we have to give up and sacrifice IF WE WANT ETERNAL LIFE is SELF, OUR ambitions, OUR image, everything about SELF.

Jesus said that:”Whoever wishes to follow Me must DENY himself, pick up his cross every day and come here, follow Me.” If we want ETERNAL LIFE then our one and only goal is to be pleasing to Jesus , to FIT INTO the Kingdom of God. Jesus is not interested in our ambitions, in the things that WE want to achieve, He does not care for our feelings, He is concerned about ONE thing only and that is for us to FIT INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD, for US to FIT INTO THE PLAN that God has prepared for us to execute, that which God has called us for and that does not include SELF, or SELF-IMAGE or SELF-REALIZATION or glorification of ME. It is about the glory of Jesus Christ, it is about His Kingdom and His righteousness, living to do the will of God.

If we are still selfishly ambitious, worried about what people think of US, if we are worried about our own plans, then we cannot be worried about the Kingdom of God. We need to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and He will give to us everything that we need to achieve the goal and the plan that He has called us for, but that plan does not include ME. It is all about Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God.

Are we going after Jesus and seeking the glory of God? Are we seeking to glorify Jesus Christ or do we still think about ME, MY and MY ACHIEVEMENTS? It is not about YOU or ME, it is all about Jesus Christ.

TYPICAL CHRISTIANS ARE FAKE

The worldly definition of a Christian is utterly FAKE, it is WRONG. A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ, not a follower of CONVENTION. Those who follow Jesus Christ are led by the Holy Spirit, they do not comply to CONVENTION, you cannot fit them into a mold, into a pattern.

Those who are led by the Spirit of God who truly follow Jesus Christ, are like the wind, you don't know where it comes from and where it is going. Those who are born again are of the Spirit of God, they are not like the rest of the world, they are not like “Christians,” they are like Jesus. You cannot predict them because they are led by the Spirit of God. They do not fit into this world, they do not comply with the standards of this world, they do not fit into the description of a worldly Christian because they are not of this world. They are of the Kingdom of God.

Most Christians do not know Jesus Christ. They are RELIGIOUS, they fit into some religious pattern and they hold on to a form of godliness but they have denied the power of God. They do not know Jesus Christ and they try to fit Jesus and God into their pattern, into their church doctrines, into their beliefs, it is because they do not know Jesus! Jesus DOES NOT FIT INTO ANYTHING – JESUS IS GOD! You either follow Jesus and you become like Him or you are not a follower of Jesus Christ.

Those who are known as Christians in this world DO NOT KNOW JESUS CHRIST AT ALL. Those who truly follow Jesus Christ, who are LED BY HIS SPIRIT, are rejected and persecuted by the fake Christians because the fake Christians of this world do not KNOW nor FOLLOW Jesus Christ.

Do you KNOW Jesus Christ? Are you led by His Spirit and do you follow Him every day or do you fit into the pattern of the fake worldly Christian?

The Image of Jesus

People spend vast amounts of money to follow after their idols, to portray a certain image. They buy certain motorcars, motorbikes, they wear certain brand clothes, they have their bodies pierced and tattooed to look like certain people that they follow so that they can portray a certain image.

If we follow Jesus Christ we will be changed into His likeness. We will portray the image of Christ. The image of Jesus Christ that we will portray will be the TRUE IMAGE. Not the one of the Catholic church or of Hollywood or of many pictures that you see, the Jesus that is preached in many churches, it will be the TRUE JESUS, because if we walk with Jesus we will become LIKE HIM. We will take on His likeness. Jesus Christ was rejected by men, He was persecuted, He was crucified, He was stripped naked and hung on a pole. Jesus Christ became of NO REPUTATION at all. That is the image that you will take on if you follow Jesus Christ. You will be hated, rejected, persecuted, and you might get killed if you follow Jesus Christ and become like Him.

That is why the world hates the true image of Jesus Christ. That is why they put on a false image for Jesus and that is why they follow a false Jesus not the true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Are you going after Jesus Christ, becoming like Him? Are you changed into His likeness? Or are you following after idols? Are you trying to be like other people, wearing certain brand clothes, spending your money on images that you follow instead of following Jesus Christ? Are you taking on the image of the REAL Jesus Christ?

God in a BOX

The world thinks it can put God in a box, especially the religious people, because they have Bibles and they study their Bibles and therefor they think that they can EXPLAIN God, DEFINE God, MANIPULATE God, ARGUE ABOUT God with scripture because they know the Bible. But they have no knowledge of God because GOD DOES NOT FIT INTO A BOX, He does not fit into our understanding.

Jesus Christ is God Almighty and He reveals Himself to those who HUMBLY seek Him on HIS TERMS. He does nor fit into anybody's definition or understanding but He GIVES UNDERSTANDING to those who HUMBLY BOW BEFORE HIM. He reveals Himself to those who REPENT OF SIN and OBEY Him, who SEEK HIM and who are guided by His Spirit. Those who think that they can put God in a box, especially the religious folk, the Bible believers, they KNOW NOTHING because THEY DON'T KNOW GOD! They don't know Jesus Christ and they deny His POWER, they REFUSE HIS HOLY SPIRIT and that is why they will PERISH IN THEIR SINS.

You need to HUMBLY come before Jesus Christ, SEEK HIM ALWAYS with all your heart, OBEY Him. He will reveal Himself to you and you will be CONSTANTLY IN AWE OF HIM. You will love Him, you will FEAR Him and you will SERVE Him, you will KNOW Him because He will reveal Himself to you. You will be able to take others to Him because YOU KNOW HIM.

Do you KNOW Jesus Christ, or have you put Him in a box? Do you have a PICTURE an IMAGE of Jesus in your mind? An image that you can manipulate and use to your advantage? Or have you met the TRUE LIVING GOD, Jesus Christ?

Most Christians worship an IMAGE of JESUS

I created this image of the South African Kingfisher with paint on a canvas. It is a beautiful South African bird but that is not a real Kingfisher, that is an image of the Kingfisher which I constructed from memory, looking at it and also from photographs.

In similar fashion people have met Jesus and they have written their experiences in the scriptures. They saw Him for real. The gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written by people who had seen Jesus, walked with Him, heard Him, others wrote down the accounts of other people who knew Jesus (Luke). What is written is AN IMAGE of Jesus Christ and from what people read in the Bible they create an image of Christ but it is not Jesus Christ. You can only KNOW Jesus Christ if you see Him FACE TO FACE, if you know Him person to person.

Most believers worship AN IMAGE OF JESUS CHRIST. They like to look at the IMAGE. This picture is not a Kingfisher, it is an IMAGE of a Kingfisher. It might be close, it might be good to look at but it is not a Kingfisher. It just gives you an idea of what it looks like but you need to SEE IT yourself, you need to hear it sing.

Many people just worship an image of Jesus Christ. They are happy with the image but they don't know Him, they don't follow Him and they will stand before Him and He will say to them:”I don't know you.” They worship an IMAGE. Jesus Christ is ALIVE and He reveals Himself to those who seek Him – if you seek Him, you find Him! If you want to see a real Kingfisher, come to South Africa and see it for yourself. If you want to know Jesus Christ for real, GO ON YOUR KNEES AND SEEK HIM WITH ALL YOUR POWER and you will find Him, and you will KNOW HIM FOR REAL. And only then you can follow Him.

Are you worshiping, following an IMAGE of Jesus Christ as you have read it in the Bible or from the account of other people who truly know Jesus or do you know Him for yourself? Do you follow the IMAGE or do you follow Jesus HIMSELF?

Do Not Worship The Image

Most believers only worship an image of Jesus Christ, an image that they have created in their minds, an image with limitations and certain qualities that they attribute to Him, an image that is limited by their perception of the Bible. They do not know Jesus.

They have never met Him because then they would know that He is greater than any definition, than any image, than anything that you can think. Jesus Christ IS God Almighty. If you meet Him then you will realize how SMALL YOU ARE, HOW LITTLE YOU KNOW, how insignificant you truly are and how enormously great and magnificent, INDESCRIBABLE Jesus Christ is. You will fall down and worship Him and you will ask HIM to teach you, to reveal Himself to you and you will be constantly in AWE of Jesus Christ your Master.

Have you met Jesus Christ THE MASTER? Or do you worship an image?

To be like him

People go to great lengths and huge expense to be like the the person that they are following, that person that they idolize. Young people want to be like Justin Bieber. They go into a frenzy when they go to His concerts and they pay huge amounts of money to wear Justin Bieber brand clothes. It is because they idolize Him, they want to be like him and they follow him.
If we follow Jesus Christ we will do everything in our power to be like Him. Jesus Christ came to do the will of the Father. Jesus Christ was the expression, the image, of God the Father. That is the IMAGE THAT WE MUST ASPIRE TO to be pleasing to God. If we truly love Jesus and God is our father then we will want to be like Jesus, speak like Him, do like Him, always ask the will of the Father so that we can be pleasing to our Father God.
Who is our idol? Who are we aspiring to be like? Some worldly person, who will also perish like we will, or are we sons of the Father? Do we want to be like Jesus, follow Him and have eternal life? Who is our idol? Who is our role model? Who are we following? Because we will end up with that person in the end.
If we follow Jesus, we will spend eternity with Him. If we follow others we will perish with them. Jesus Christ ALONE is the WAY to eternal life. Who are YOU following? Jesus, or someone else?

Who is your father?

Like father, like son. A child follows in the footsteps of his father. He imitates his father in everything. Jesus Christ is the image of God the Father and He came to show us how God is. Jesus came to show us how we should be.
Jesus said:”Be ye perfect like your Father in heaven in perfect.” and He showed us HOW to be perfect, If we follow Jesus Christ and we are children of God, then we will be like Jesus! We will want to be like our Father, PERFECT!
Are we following the example of Jesus Christ? Are we LIKE OUR FATHER? WHO is our father? From our behavior people can see who our father is. Who is YOUR father and mine? Who are we like?
Do we have the likeness of Jesus and of God, or are we like satan? Who is our father, God or the devil?
Who is YOUR father and who is mine?

They worship the IMAGE

Church organizations create an image of Jesus Christ and that image complies to their doctrine, their teachings. The members of the congregation worship the IMAGE and if somebody starts following Jesus Christ and not the IMAGE then that person is rejected and persecuted. They call that person a heretic.
If you follow Jesus Christ, you will not fit into church organizations and you will not worship the IMAGE of Jesus Christ that they portray. But you will deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow Jesus Christ every day. You will not worship the IMAGE but you will LISTEN to the MASTER. You will be LED by the HOLY SPIRIT and you will DO what Jesus commands you to do, but you will not worship the IMAGE.
Do you KNOW JESUS CHRIST and do you FOLLOW HIM? Or do you also worship an IMAGE of JESUS CHRIST, an image that complies to the church of your CHOICE because that IMAGE is not the truth it is a LIE. You need to follow Jesus Christ and obey HIM to have eternal life.
