Suffering in VAIN

God uses hardship and suffering to speak to us and to correct us, to bring us onto the right road, the straight and narrow road. Those who enter the Kingdom of God will do so through much suffering. It is because God cares for us that He disciplines and chastises us but for many people their suffering will be in vain because they do not receive and accept correction. They are suffering in vain because in the end they will end up in hell.
Through His wonderful grace, love and mercy, God wants to correct us. He puts us through suffering so that we can share in the likeness of Jesus Christ, that we can become like Jesus. Jesus, although He was a son, was perfected through suffering. God wants to perfect us through suffering but if we do not yield and change, if we do not obey and allow God to achieve His way in our lives then then we suffer in vain because in the end we will end up in hell. We are only suitable for the Kingdom of Heaven if we are transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
Are we yielding to the discipline of the Holy Spirit? Do we take notice when God is speaking to us, through suffering, pain, misfortune? Or are we suffering in vain? Do we get the message? God shows His love for us through His involvement with us. He cares for us. We also have to care for ourselves and for the kingdom of God, we must change to become like Jesus. We must be OBEDIENT children of God. Jesus said:”Be ye perfect like your Father in heaven is perfect.” God wants to work perfection in us, perfection in holiness, righteousness and obedience to Him.
Are we yielding to the work of the Holy Spirit in us or are we suffering in vain?

May Jesus bless you.
