THE SEVERITY OF GOD’S DISCIPLINE AND JUDGMENT ON HIS CHILDREN

Many read the book of Jonah, how God
dealt with the prophet to warn and save the city of Nineveh, and they
do not realize that God never changed. He requires the same obedience
from His children, those who have received Jesus and were born again.
Salvation is not just a matter of believing in Jesus and making a
confession of faith. It is a transformation where you become hidden
in Christ, by denying yourself and taking on Jesus so that you are no
longer seen, but only Him who has come to dwell in you.
Jesus calls us to follow Him and become
children of God that will inherit the kingdom of God and have eternal
life. Many are called, many respond and start the journey but few are
willing to endure and stay with Jesus until the end. The price is so
high that few are willing to pay it. Many believe that they are
already saved and assured of eternal life, but they have been
deceived by satan to believe the false gospel and lies that are
preached in the world today The truth is not hidden. The words of
Jesus are plain and simple but brutally harsh and stark, as they are
written in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Following Jesus is a straight and
narrow way, the road of discipleship and absolute obedience to Jesus,
denying yourself, picking up your cross and following Him every day,
until the end. It is a road where you do not follow your own mind,
ambitions, desires and thoughts. You follow Jesus, under guidance of
the Holy Spirit and do as He directs. Reading through the book of
Acts it is obvious that the apostles did not haphazardly go out and
evangelize. They were directed by the Holy Spirit. They operated
under the authority of the Holy Spirit.
Walking with God means walking with
FIRE. We read in Acts 5 about Ananias and Sapphira, husband and wife,
who lied to the apostles and were struck down dead, under judgment of
the Holy Spirit. The fear of God came on the people.
The Holy Spirit teaches discipline and
utter obedience. His discipline and correction can be severe, and
those who do not respond to correction are cut off and burned. We can
only bear fruit for the kingdom of God if we remain in Christ do what
the Holy Spirit He tells us to do. The Holy Spirit requires absolute
dedication and obedience. “Or
do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously
desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? James 4:5.
The disobedient and those who do not
respond to correction will perish. I have for the last two years been
under the judgment of the Lord. Since Jesus called us, my wife and
me, we have been full time witnessing for Jesus. We used to live in
the country and about 3 years ago we moved back to the city, close to
the children. They bought a house and we started spending some time
with them, still daily doing our work on the internet, witnessing for
Jesus. Jesus warned me to cut it off and focus fully on the kingdom,
which was difficult to do, because the children were close by and
were always inviting us over. They were remodeling their house and we
would help. We felt that we were still doing the Lord’s work, but
He was not satisfied. I became very sick and was diagnosed with
rectal cancer. I was on the mend after many surgeries, chemo and
radiation when I fell sick again, this time I was diagnosed with
cancer in the lung. Our grandson was born when I first went in for
surgery and during my recovery we used to baby sit him some days,
when his mother started working again. We were still doing the Lord’s
work every day during this time, we never let off. However I had
disobeyed the Lord and was not totally focused on His and His kingdom
as I should have been. That is why the cancer spread to my lung. I
have refused chemo. The oncologist admitted that they can do nothing
for me. I am in the hands of Jesus. I am being punished for my
disobedience. I just thank Jesus that He did not cut me off yet, but
has given me this opportunity to repent and correct my ways. I am
house bound now. I am in severe pain and have been taking strong
medication. I am in so much pain that I can hardly walk. The
medication has affected my balance and I cannot walk without a
walker. My wife is looking after me full time and she herself is also
afflicted. When we were in disobedience helping our children with
their house she injured herself while raking stones. She has severe
pain in her groin and she limps, she drags her left leg along.
We can no longer
go over to see the grandchildren, but they can visit us. We are back
where we ought to have been, fully focused doing the Lord’s work. I
am hardly able to sleep more than an hour at a time, because of pain,
but being awake so much, I pray more and listen to Jesus. Neither
does my wife sleep much, because if I move, she checks on me. and
prays with me.
I have not been complete in the sight
of my Lord. He has rebuked me and is purifying me, correcting me. He
is giving me understanding, pruning me. He has shown me things in me
that are not right. I thank Jesus that He did not cut me off. He is
showing me mercy’ The pain that I am enduring is nothing compared
to the fires of hell. There is much work to be done. Many souls are
lost every day. If the Lord so wills, He will pick me up, heal me and
use me to bring many souls into His kingdom.
God’s discipline on His children is
SEVERE. He wants to FIX us and work PERFECTION in us. All His ways
are loving kindness. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. He who
began the good work in us will complete it if we yield to Him, stay
with Him and obey Him until the end.
May Jesus bless you.

GO AFTER JESUS SEEK HIS GUIDANCE

We are called, not just to believe in
Jesus, but to go after Him and follow Him. We cannot follow after
Jesus if we do not first repent from going after sin and our own
plans and desires. If we wish to follow Jesus and have eternal life
we have to deny ourselves, lay down our own plans and ambitions and
put our whole life into obeyance to Jesus.
Before we can follow Jesus, we have
accept Him as our Lord and Master and commit to obey Him, to live
according to His commandments and instructions, His words as recorded
in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The elementary commandments are: to
repent of all sin, be baptized in water, to live holy and to seek the
baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is essential to our
relationship with Jesus. Jesus said of the Holy Spirit: ”He will
guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own
initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will
disclose to you what is to come. 14“He will glorify Me, for He
will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.” John
16:13-16.
Many believers never obeyed the
elementary commandments of Jesus, and have not received the Holy
Spirit, that is why they are not led by Him, and cannot follow Jesus
to do what is pleasing to Him. They do not have a real relationship
with Him.
Those who have received the Holy Spirit
must go after Him, seek His guidance in all things, in prayer,
waiting on Him for guidance and direction. He will speak to them in
their spirit. In all things, we must seek and follow His guidance.
The apostles and first followers of Jesus were led by the Holy
Spirit.
The Holy Spirit, is Christ in us. We
are a temple of the Holy Spirit, but few believers are led by the
Holy Spirit. Most are just religious. Christ does not live in them.
They are living their lives for their own pleasure. They are
believers, but not children of God. “Those who are being led by the
Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14.
Have we advanced beyond the first
principles of being a Christian? Have we received Jesus, repented,
been baptized in water, received the Holy Spirit? Are we being led by
the Spirit of God? Do we go after Jesus every day to seek and follow
His guidance? Are we fruitful, obedient children of God?
May Jesus bless you.

HE PROMISED US HIS SPIRIT

The disciples of Jesus were sad to learn the He would be leaving them,
and no longer be physically with them, when He told them before He
was crucified, but He promised them that He would not leave them as
orphans. He promised them the Holy Spirit, His Spirit that would come
and dwell with them. Jesus did not promise them a book, or a Bible or
anything else. He promised His Spirit.
We
read in John 14:16-25, Jesus said: “I will ask the Father, and He
will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;17that
is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because
it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because
He abides with you and will be in you.
      18“I
will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19“After a
little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see
Me; because I live, you will live also. 20“In that day you
will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21“He
who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and
he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and
will disclose Myself to him.” 22Judas (not Iscariot) said to
Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose
Yourself to us and not to the world?” 23Jesus answered and
said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My
Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with
him. 24“He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and
the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
      25“These
things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. 26“But the
Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He
will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I
said to you.”
We
read in john 16:5-15 Jesus said: “But now I am going to Him who
sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’6“But
because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your
heart. 7“But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage
that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to
you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. 8“And He, when He
comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and
judgment; 9concerning sin, because they do not believe in
Me; 10and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father
and you no longer see Me; 11and concerning judgment, because the
ruler of this world has been judged.
      12“I
have many more things to say to you, but you cannot
bear them now. 13“But when He, the Spirit of truth,
comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on
His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will
disclose to you what is to come. 14“He will glorify Me, for He
will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15“All
things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes
of Mine and will disclose it to you.”
After
Jesus was crucified and resurrected, before He ascended to heaven He
spoke to them. We read in Acts 1:4 “Gathering them together, He
commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the
Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of
from Me;5for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with
the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” The disciples did go to
Jerusalem and were united in prayer, waiting on the gift that Jesus
promised. We read in Acts 2: 1-4 “When the day of Pentecost had
come, they were all together in one place. 2And suddenly there
came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled
the whole house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared to
them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on
each one of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them
utterance.”
The
bystanders enquired about what had happened and Peter explained it to
them in many words, upon which they asked him what they should do to
receive the Holy Spirit. Peter said to them, “Repent, and
each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit. 39“For the promise is for you and your children and
for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to
Himself.” Acts 2:38-39.
The
Holy Spirit baptism with evidence of speaking in tongues is not only
about speaking in tongues, but about the indwelling of Jesus,
disclosing Himself, revealing Himself in and through those who have
received Him, being with them for always, teaching and guiding them
in all things. It is the fulfillment of Emmanuel, “God with us”,
“Christ dwelling in us” becoming born of the Spirit to be
children of God.
Receiving
and following the Holy Spirit, obeying Him, being taught and led by
Him is integral, essential, vital for every believer in order to be
in the right relationship with Jesus. It is not just a token or a
symbol but the supernatural unification with Jesus. We cannot follow
Jesus if we have not received His Spirit. We cannot be in communion
with Him. It is an absolutely essential requirement for everyone who
wishes to become one of His sheep, hear His voice, follow Him and
have eternal life.
The
first Christians did not have Bibles. They were taught the
commandments of Jesus by the disciples and they received the Holy
Spirit. They were led by the Holy Spirit.
He
promised us His Spirit. Have you received His Spirit? Are you in
communion with Him. Do you hear His voice and do you follow Him? Are
you one of His sheep?
May
Jesus bless you.

JESUS GUIDES HIS SHEEP

Jesus said:“My sheep hear My voice,
and I know them, and they follow Me; 28and I give eternal life
to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out
of My hand.”John 10:27,28. Not all people are His sheep and very
few do follow Jesus. Few professing Christians are His sheep. If you
want to be His sheep and if you wish to follow Him, He will make you
into one of His sheep and He will guide you. You will hear His voice
and be able to follow Him.
Jesus does not discriminate between
sheep. He does not love some sheep more than others, He treats them
all equally. We all have a cross to bear if we wish to follow Jesus.
He did not promise anybody an easy road or a free pass. He said:”If
anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his
cross daily and follow Me.”Luke 9:23.
Jesus has not appointed some sheep as
leaders over other sheep. He is the Shepherd and He guides His own
sheep, those who follow Him. Some of His sheep follow after wolves
and other sheep, to their own downfall.
If you wish to have eternal life you
have to follow Jesus. You have to obey Him every step of the way
until the end.
Do you wish to follow Jesus? Then obey
His gospel, His words as also recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and
John. Repent, turn from sin. Be baptized in water for the forgiveness
of your sin. Ask Jesus to guide you. He will speak to you and give
you direction, wisdom and guidance in all things. Ask Him and He will
answer you. He will speak to you, in dreams and in visions. He will
speak to you in many ways. He will give you understanding of all
things, but you have to be serious about following Him.
Seek Jesus. Seek His way. Seek His
will, not your own. Submit yourself to Him, trust Him. Wait on Him.
Speak to Him in prayer, and expect Him. If He does not speak to you
or does not answer you, then ask Him to show you the reason.
Patiently wait on Him, and in His time He will direct you.
Become a sheep. Sheep are not
intelligent animals, unlike goats that are highly intelligent, self
willed and destructive. Sheep eat grass. Goats eat any trash, they
destroy gardens, trees, and will even eat your clothes off the
washing line. Sheep graze and are easily contained. Goats break out
of any enclosure, they climb and jump on anything. They will even
jump on top of parked cars and damage them. Many believers are like
goats, strong willed and crafty, always looking to break out, go
their own way and destroy as far as they go.
Become a sheep and follow Jesus. Jesus
will guide you all the way, but you must trust and follow Him. If you
stray, He will look for you, call you back, but if you keep on
breaking out like a goat you will be caught by the wolves. If you
follow after other lost sheep, you will also go lost. If you follow
after the wolves, the false preachers in the worldly churches, you
will be destroyed.
Follow Jesus. Ask your guidance from
Him. Stay with Him until the end ,and He will give you eternal life,
like He promised.

May Jesus bless you.

Are you His sheep? Do you HEAR His VOICE?

Jesus said:“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow
Me;”John 10:27. Many Christian believers today, do not hear His
voice. They profess to believe in Jesus but they have never accepted
Him as their Lord and Master, as their Shepard. They never accepted
His words and commands, they never repented of sin and were never
baptized in water, as He commanded.
They were never born again, they do not hear His voice, they are not His
sheep and they will not enter heaven.
Do you HEAR His VOICE and do you FOLLOW Him?
Are you one of His sheep?
May Jesus bless you.

Practice His Presence

Christian believers often are concerned that God has left them. However God says to His children:"I will never leave you nor forsake you." Why do these believers not experience His presence? Do they not believe that the Lord will not leave them, or have they left Him?

Jesus gives His Holy Spirit to be in and with those who believe and obey Him.We read in John 14:16"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you."

John 16:8"8“And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; 9concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; 11and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged."

The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ is ever present and He speaks to those who are born again, those who have repented and been baptized in water, and who were filled with the Holy Spirit. He wishes to guide them into all truth but many believers have not received the Holy Spirit, others ignore Him.

We have to PRACTICE HIS PRESENCE, be tuned in to the Holy Spirit; listen and obey when He speaks, warns, convicts, teaches and directs us. If we keep on ignoring Him, disregarding Him and rather choose to follow our own desires of the advice of others, He will be grieved and will not longer speak to us.

We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, listen, obey and follow His guidance. We must keep ourselves aware of His presence, trust and believe Him and He will guide us into all truth. Then we will experience the presence of Jesus.

Sin separates us from Jesus and destroys our confidence. We cannot pray with confidence if we have sin in our lives. If we do not experience the peace and approval of Jesus, we first need to repent of all sin and remove the idols that we have allowed to come between ourselves and Jesus, then we will be able to experience His presence.

Are we walking in the Light, practicing His presence,  experiencing His peace and approval?

May Jesus bless you.

Do you listen to His voice?

Jesus said:"My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me." If you have accepted Jesus and you listen to Him, He will teach and guide you.

Jesus called me. One night many years ago, I woke up and I clearly heard these words:"Go into all the world an make disciples of all nations. Go where I send you. Take their hand and put it in My hand and I will guide them."

Jesus guides my footsteps and He warns me of danger. Years ago I used to preach at a church in the townships on Sundays. It was a very dangerous area. One Sunday morning I woke up at 4 in the morning. I had just dreamed that I was in the township on my way to the church and had been shot. Jesus was telling me not to go. The very next day Christian missionaries  were shot and killed in the same area.

In the corporate work situation, Jesus guided me, gave me wisdom in business decisions. In the home, Jesus guided me in the discipline and bringing up of my children. In my marriage, my relationship with my wife, Jesus guides me. In all things, I seek His guidance and approval.

Jesus speaks to all His children but many do not listen. They follow their own mind and they follow the advice of other people.

We cannot please Jesus and bear fruit for His kingdom if we do not listen to Him and obey Him.

That is why many Christians will end up in hell. They are stubborn and disobedient. they follow after their own ways and the ways of the world, and they ignore Jesus when He speaks to them.

Without Jesus, we can do nothing. If we want to enter His kingdom, we have to listen to Him and obey Him. If we stray from Jesus we will perish.

Seek Jesus with all your heart. Live your life to please Him. Pray, wait on Him. Listen and obey when He speaks to you and He will guide you all the way, until the end.

May Jesus bless you.

His Ways Are Not Our Ways - A Testimony

Not one day in our Lives works out the
way that we expected to do and to me today was one of those days, but
Jesus determines our footsteps and we just have to be sensitive to
the Holy Spirit to be able to do what He wants us to do.
This morning I went for radiation
treatment at the hospital as I've been doing for the last month and
as I arrived they informed me that the radiation machine was out of
order. They were fixing it and I would have to be waiting for a while
before I could have treatment. I sat down in the waiting room to wait
for my treatment. There was a lady that is scheduled to be treated
before me every day. We always see each other in passing, she leaves
and I come in. We started talking. We first talked about our cancer,
and the treatment and the effects of the treatment. She was quite
down, despondent, and we talked about recovery, and hope of the
future, and I say to her that I'm in God's hand. Whatever happens is
in His hand and He determines our lives.
I had the opportunity of sharing my
testimony with her, of how Jesus called me, of how I died of a heart
attack 20 years ago and I was on my way to hell, and Jesus let me
come back to be His witness, to witness to the world that Jesus
Christ is alive and hell is real. I could share with my testimony and
the hope that I have in Jesus. She asked me many questions and we had
a long and fruitful discussion, which would not have happened if that
radiation machine did not break down. Jesus directs our footsteps. If
I was not there for treatment, and if that machine did not break down
I would not have been able to share my testimony with that specific
person. If that person was not also in the same boat, afflicted by
the same fearful sickness, cancer, that everybody fears, if it was
not that we had the same infirmity then she would most probably not
have even listen to me, but Jesus prepares the way, and her heart
was prepared to receive the message of Jesus Christ. There was hope.
I could speak to her. She was receptive. I could share my testimony.
I was so glad that I had the opportunity to speak to her to share
Jesus Christ. They called her for her treatment and she said to
me:"To be continued...", meaning our discussion. Before she
left the facility she stopped by my wife who was sitting in the
waiting room in front, and she said to as she was so glad that she
could have the discussion with her husband.
Dear friends, we do not understand why
we have got to go through certain things in life. It is not nice to
be diagnosed with cancer. It is not nice to be hospitalized. I've
gone through a lot of things in the past few months. While I was
hospital, I died twice. I have been in much pain but I have had the
opportunity to witness to so many people that otherwise I would never
have met, people who would otherwise never even have listened to me,
because the circumstances brought us together. Jesus Christ brought
us together so that I could fulfill His purpose and witness to
specific people that He put in my way.
We have the choice, when we meet other
people, to either talk about things that are not important; we can
talk about ourselves, we can talk about the weather, and politics,
but to us as followers of Jesus, we must see every opportunity as
directed by Jesus for us to be able to witness for Him. We must be
sensitive and wait for the opportunity to share our testimony. What a
wonderful privilege to be a witness for Jesus. What a privilege to
live for Jesus. What a privilege to suffer for the kingdom of God,
even if we've got to go through difficult times, through pain,
through hospitalization, through cancer, through the shadow of death,
in order to fulfill God's will.
We must use every opportunity to
witness for Jesus. We must be sensitive and recognize the opportunity
when it comes, so that we can tell other people about Jesus, give
them hope, put their hand in His hand and build the kingdom of God.
His ways are not our ways, but if we walk in His ways we can bear
fruit for His kingdom. Jesus makes the way. Just follow Him. He will
guide you. He will give you the words and He will make you bear fruit
for His kingdom, if you stay focused on Him.
May Jesus bless you.

His Name is Jesus

The name most hated, feared and
rejected even by many professing Christians is Jesus. Many reject His
name and want others to call Him by His Hebrew name, Yeshua. These
people do not know Jesus. If they did they would know that His Name
is Jesus.
Jesus Christ has revealed Himself to me
as Jesus. I have fought and overcome the devil in the Name of Jesus.
There is no other name by which men shall be saved. There is power
and victory in the Name of Jesus and that is why satan will do
anything to prevent you from using the name Jesus, other than to use
it as a curse word.
Do not let anyone deceive you into
using any other name for our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.
May Jesus bless you.

Let Jesus Have His Way With You

The gospel of Jesus Christ
is not just about salvation. It is about becoming part of the kingdom
of God, of the household of God, of which Jesus Christ is the Lord
and Master, Jesus Christ calls us to become born-again children of
God that do the will of God. The gospel that is being preached in
this world is one of salvation, just skipping hell and trying to get
into heaven, but that is a lie.
Jesus requires of us that
we be born again and become children of God, that listen to the
Father, obey Him and serve the kingdom of God. To repent and be
baptized, to be born again of the Spirit of God, is just the
beginning. To receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, Christ dwelling
in us just connects us to Him, brings us into relationship with Him,
but if we do not submit to Him and serve Him we will perish, we will
not be saved. Jesus calls us for a purpose. He calls us to become
part of His kingdom and He clearly said that every branch in Him that
does not bear fruit will get cut off and burned. The only way that we
can bear fruit is if we remain in Christ, which means, if we remain
in His will. The only way that we can be pleasing to Jesus and
suitable for His kingdom is if we listen to Him and obey Him, if we
serve Him with all that we are. If we refuse to serve Him, we cannot
bear fruit. We cannot serve Him part time or with only part of our
lives.
We have to be totally
submitted and committed to Him and we must allow Him to form us and
to make us into that which He wants to make of us, instruments for
His glory. We must allow Jesus to have His way with us so that He can
use us in the way that is pleasing to Him, to fit into His kingdom,
to be part of His plan. If we do not submit to Him and we are not led
by His Spirit, if we're not guided by Him then we cannot bear fruit,
we cannot be part of his kingdom, and we will get cut off and burned.
We need to submit to Jesus
and allow Him to have His way with us. We must offer ourselves in
whole, soul, spirit and body to Him as a living sacrifice, so that He
can use us as He pleases, so that we can bring glory to Him through
Christ dwelling in us and working through us. It is all about Jesus
Christ and the kingdom of God. It is about listening to Him, obeying
Him and doing His will. If we do not follow and obey Jesus and submit
totally to Him, live for His kingdom then we are not suitable for His
kingdom and we will be cast away.
Are we totally committed
and submitted to Jesus Christ? Do we seek His will, His approval, and
His glory? If not, we will not enter his kingdom. There's only one
way and that is: Serve the Master, and let Him have His way with us,
as He pleases, until the very end.
May Jesus bless you.

Jesus speaks HARSHLY His guidance is FIRM

The words of Jesus are not
nice, and that is why the world rejects Jesus. That is why people do
not want to follow Jesus. The words of Jesus pierce us, they cut us
to pieces. Jesus guides His sheep, they listen to Him and they follow
Him but His words to them are not always nice.
The words of Jesus bring
us into the right relationship with Him, they make us humble and they
bring us into the fear of God. Most Christian believers do not know
Jesus and therefore they do not know His words. They do not recognize
when He is speaking to them. They want Jesus to speak to them but
they expect Him to be nice with them, to tell them nice things about
themselves. They have the wrong expectation. The words of Jesus
purify us, cleanse us, correct us, discipline us.
The discipline of Jesus is
firm. The guidance of the Holy Spirit is exact. When Jesus speaks to
us then we shrivel and we come under the fear of God, we realize own
insignificance and His holiness, we realize that He is Lord and that
we have to serve Him. We have to follow him His way. When Jesus
disciplines us, when He puts sickness onto us, we cannot a shrug off
His hand and say:" I did not feel it." If Jesus puts you
into a sickbed to speak to you, you can run to the doctor, you can
take medication; it will not help, because when Jesus speaks to you
you will hear, because you cannot shrug off the hand, and the
discipline of Jesus Christ. He makes sure that He gets your
attention.
The guidance of the Holy
Spirit is exact, because Jesus requires obedience of us, utter
obedience. We have to do exactly what He tells us to do. We cannot
follow our own mind. If we follow Jesus we must submit ourselves to
His guidance and to His discipline. We must fear Him and we must
respect Him, and when He speaks to us we must humble ourselves and
submit to Him, because He is God, He is Lord. Our God is a consuming
fire and those who walk with Him walk with fire, they fear Him they
respect Him and they love Him.
The kingdom of God is not
about your feelings or your image, it is about Jesus Christ. It is
about dying to self and living for Jesus. It is about obedience and
the fear of God, to serve Him with awe and reverence, because He is
an awesome God. Most believers do not recognize when Jesus is
speaking to them because they do not expect Him to speak to them
harshly, they say it's the devil, but they do not recognize Him
because they do not know Him.
When we follow Jesus, we
live and walk under the fear of God, and we subject ourselves to the
discipline of the Holy Spirit, we serve Him as Lord and Master.
May Jesus bless you.

Enter into His Rest

The whole world is in
uncertainty. People are living in anxiety. They are concerned about
tomorrow. How will they live? Many are working two jobs because they
want to secure their future, they want to make enough money, they
want securities, for the future. They are running after wind. And in
all of this Jesus invites us to enter into His rest. We read in
Matthew 6:24 Jesus said:"No one can serve two masters; for
either will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted
to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. For
this reason I say to you do not be worried about your life as to what
you will eat or what you will drink, nor for your body as to what you
will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than
clothing? Look at the birds of the air that they do not sow, nor reap
nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are
you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried
can add a single hour to his life, and why are you worried about
clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow. They do toil,
nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his
glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the
grass of the field which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into
the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!
Do not worry then saying:"What will we eat?" or "What
will we drink?" or "What will we wear for clothing?"
For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly
Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His
kingdom and His righteousness and all these things we'll be added to
you."
Jesus wants to give us
rest, security, peace for our souls; and He invites us to come to Him
for that peace. Now people say:"How can they have this peace by
just coming to Jesus? Let us read the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28
"Come to me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give
you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle
and humble in heart and you shall find rest for your souls, for My
yoke is easy and My load is light." And that is the key to
finding peace in Jesus. It is not just a matter of trusting in Jesus
and hoping that everything will work out fine. It is a matter of
obeying Him, of submitting ourselves to Him, of taking His yoke upon
us, of living according to His words; of being led by His Holy Spirit
and of living in company, in fellowship, with Him.
The only place where we
can find peace is if we are close to Jesus, if we are doing His will
and we receive confirmation from Him that He is pleased with us, if
He guides us and we follow, and if we stay with Him, then we are
safe. Nothing can happen to us that Jesus does not allow. He knows
how to look after His sheep, but His sheep have to follow Him. They
have to stay with Him. We cannot trust in Jesus if we stray from Him,
if we disobey Him, if we do not obey His words. But if we obey Him
and submit ourselves to Him, take His yoke upon us and learn from
Him, do what He commands us to do, then we will have peace in our
hearts.
If we do not have peace in
our hearts, as children of God, it is because we are not with Jesus.
It is because we are in disobedience. If we follow Him and obey Him
and submit to Him then we will have peace for our souls, because we
will know that we are in His will and He is pleased with us, and he
takes care of us. Are we living in a piece of Jesus? Do we have His
peace that passes all understanding? Or are we following after our
own ways and looking for our own securities? We cannot serve God and
Mammon.
If we serve Jesus He will
take care of us and we will have nothing else to worry about. Trust
in Jesus, obey Him, follow Him and you will enter into His rest.
May Jesus bless you.

God will never abandon His Children

God never abandons His
children, neither does He ever take back any gifts that He has given
them. Not all people are God's children. We become children of God
by believing in Jesus Christ and accepting Him; bowing down before
Him and accept Him as our Lord and Master, and then He makes us knew
inside. We are born again by the Spirit of God, we become children of
God.
But not all children of
God are obedient children. Many of those who were born again, who
have become children of God, are disobedient. They go away from God,
they turn their back on God. They go after their own desires and they
forget that they committed to serve and obey Jesus Christ. Many of
those who have accepted Jesus and have experienced the joy of
salvation, refuse to obey Jesus. They refuse to be baptized in water,
they become religious. They do not seek Jesus, they do not obey His
words. They are children of God because God accepted them, He gave
them the New Life, but they turn away from Him, they turn away from
Jesus.
Jesus compared our
relationship with Him to that of the True Vine and the branches.
(John 15) Jesus said that:"Every branch in Me that does not bear
good fruit will get cut off and burned, and every branch that does
bear fruit will get pruned." If we are serious about following
Jesus, if we as children of God are trying to do His will then He
will discipline us. He will teach us and He will coach us. He will
prune us, like you prune the vine so that it can bear more good
fruit. But some of the branches refuse to bear fruit, they go their
own way, they turn back to their life of sin and disobedience; refuse
to be corrected refuse, to be disciplined, and those will get cut off
and burned.
Many have accepted Jesus,
they have become children of God, they're born again, and God has
given them a spiritual gifts. Many have been baptized in the Holy
Spirit and they spoke in tongues but they turned away from Jesus.
Some of them still speak in tongues even though they live in sin.
Others despise the gift and they lose it. God gives some gifts of
healing and other gifts, and they keep on practicing those gifts, but
for their own gain. Among them there are preachers who have turned
away from Jesus, they have churches, and by worldly standards they
are doing very well. They are successful, but they're not serving
Jesus any more. They serve themselves. Many of them cast out demons
and people think that they are true servants of God. They were born
again, but they're not serving Jesus anymore. They turned away from
Him. It is to them that Jesus will say in that day: "Go away, I
never knew you, you workers of wickedness," and i will say:
"Lord, Lord but we preached in Your name, we healed the sick, we
cast out demons." And He will say:"Go away I never knew
you," because these people fell away from Jesus. They use the
gifts for their own benefit. Many of those with ministries and
churches are like that. You see, God never takes back His gifts. The
calling and the gifts of God are irrevocable.
When Jesus called you to
follow Him, He does not take back the calling, neither does He take
back the gifts, but many go and use it for the out benefit, to their
own a detriment and they lead many stray with them. Jesus Christ will
never abandon us. He will never reject us. He loves us, He is
faithful, but we have to remain faithful to Him. Many have a
backslidden, have gone away from Jesus. Many once knew His voice but
then they returned to their first works of immorality and sin. They
have gone away from the Master; and many of those want to come back
to Jesus but they think that He will not accept them. You are still a
child of God, even though you're disobedient, even though you have
strayed from the Lord, but if you return to Him, if you repent, He
will accept you. He will gladly welcome you back, but you need to get
back to Jesus. Many of those who once followed Jesus and who fell
away, are in a big trouble, their whole life is falling to pieces,
because Jesus is calling them back, He is disciplining them and they
fail to see it.
Jesus will never abandon
His children. He does not give up on us, but if we keep on straying
from Him, keep on going back to sin, keep on going our own way, there
will come a day when we will get cut off and burned, we will end up
in hell with the children of disobedience. Once you are born again,
you are born again, you are a child of God, but not all children of
God are obedient children. Not all of them serve the Master. Many of
them serve themselves, and they serve sin. it is only those who
faithfully serve the Master, who stay with Jesus until the end, only
they will inherit the kingdom of God only they will have eternal
life. We have to endure with Jesus until the very end. If you once
knew Jesus and you've strayed. get back to Him before it is too late.
He never left you. He never abandoned you, you left Him, you
abandoned Him. Go back to Jesus before it is too late. He loves you
and He cares for you. Jesus Christ will never abandon His own.
May Jesus bless you.

Jesus Christ will guide you

Jesus will guide  you and He will take care of you IF you seek to do His will, if you go after Him. He will guide you in each and every aspect of your life. He will guide you  in your studies, in your job; He will tell you where to live, He will send you the right spouse, He will tell you which car to buy. He will tell you everything that you need to know and need to do to achieve His will. That is IF you go after Jesus, IF you seek His will.
Jesus said:"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all the other things will be added unto you." But people do not seek the will of God. They do not want to do God's will. They want God to assist them in their plans, to make them rich, to give them their desires. They do not desire the will of God. They are not seeking  the kingdom of God and therefor their prayers are not answered. They pray with wrong motives, they want to fulfill their own selfish desires. They are not interested in Jesus, nor in the kingdom of God.
If we follow Jesus, He will guide us, He will teach us and He will supply in all our needs. He will tell us exactly what we must do, where we must go, but we must seek His will.
Jesus cares for us and therefor He will often stand in our way, our plans will be disrupted. Things will not work out the way that we want, because Jesus cares for us. It is not the will of God that we perish and there is only one way to be pleasing to Him. There is only one way to enter the kingdom of heaven and that is to seek the kingdom of god and to follow Jesus Christ.
It is in vain that we pray if we are not interested in the kingdom of God. It is in vain that we ask Jesus for His guidance if our motives are not pure. Jesus gave His life so that we can have life; if we want to have eternal life, we must give our life to Him, we must live our life for Him and His kingdom and then we will have REAL LIFE.
Without Jesus Christ there is no life. Without Jesus we labor in vain because in the end it will all be in vain, it will go to destruction.
Jesus Christ will supply in all our needs and He will guide us every step of the way until the end, IF we go after Him, IF we follow Him.
May Jesus bless you.

Eternal life just for some

Jesus Christ came to bring eternal life for His sheep. For those who follow Him. Not everybody is the sheep of Jesus Christ because not everybody believes.

Many call themselves Christians but they just believe in Jesus Christ for salvation, but they do not listen to His voice, they do not follow Him. They are not His sheep.

Jesus said:"My sheep hear My voice and they follow Me and I give them eternal life and nothing will snatch them out of My hand."

He was talking about His sheep, those who hear His voice and who follow Him every day. He gives them LIFE and LIFE in ABUNDANCE. He gives them ETERNAL LIFE because they follow Him. He is the WAY and the LIFE and the TRUTH.

Do you FOLLOW Jesus  Christ? Do you HEAR Him? Are you one of His sheep? Do you really believe in Jesus Christ?

May Jesus bless you.

Stay In His Presence

We are always BEFORE Jesus Christ but very few stay WITH HIM. Many believers go and pray and spend some time WITH Jesus but after they prayed they do not stay WITH Him. They go their own way and they follow their own mind, they go after their own things and they forget about Jesus. They are still before Him but they are not WITH Him.

Even those who have received the Holy Spirit, most of them do not stay IN HIS PRESENCE, they do not  stay WITH Him. They do not follow after Him. They might set some time aside for prayer and meditation but then after they have spent that special time with Jesus, they leave Him, they ignore Him. They go their own way and they go and do other things.

We have to stay WITH Jesus, stay IN HIS PRESENCE. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit and He dwells in us but we have to STAY WITH HIM, we have to FOLLOW Him. We can only be pleasing to Him if we remain IN HIS PRESENCE, if we maintain that AWARENESS, stay FOCUSED on Him throughout the day, wherever we go, whatever we are , we must always have Jesus on our mind, do everything to please Him and ask His approval, His guidance in everything. We have to go where He sends us and do what He tells us, then we remain IN HIS PRESENCE, then we FOLLOW Him, very few do.

Do you stay in His presence? Do you stay WITH Jesus? Is your mind on Him, constantly? Or do you go away from Him from time to time?

We can only PLEASE HIM if we STAY WITH Him. We have to remain IN HIS PRESENCE.

May Jesus bless you.
