What it means to REPENT

You cannot enter the
kingdom of heaven unless you are born again. You cannot be born again
unless you repent and are baptized in water, as Jesus Christ
commanded. Most professing Christians do not know what it means to
repent. They have been deceived, and lied to, by the satanic,
apostate churches of this day. To repent does not mean to change your
mind. To repent means to stop sinning, to cut it off, to pluck it
out, to be pure and holy and to bear fruit in keeping with
repentance. It means to sin no more.
John the Baptist was the
forerunner for Jesus Christ and we read these words in Matthew 3:1
"Now in those days, John the Baptist came preaching in the
wilderness of Judea, saying:"Repent for the kingdom of heaven is
at hand." For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet
when he said: The voice of one crying in the wilderness, make ready
the way of the Lord, make His paths straight!" Now John himself
had a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist,
and his food was locusts and wild honey. Then Jerusalem was going out
to him, and all Judea and all the district around the Jordan; and
they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River as they confessed
their sins. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees
coming for baptism he said to them, "Your brood of vipers, who
warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruit in
keeping with repentance; and do not suppose that you can say to
yourselves, We have Abraham for our Father"; for I say to you
that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.
The axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore every
tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the
fire. As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who
is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His
sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. "His
winnowing Fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean His
threshing floor, and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He
will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
When the Pharisees came to
be baptized, they had not repented, they just wanted to also "get
on the bus," they also wanted to be ready when the Messiah
comes, but they never repented. They did not bear fruit in keeping
with repentance, they were still continuing with their sins, and
therefore John the baptist said to them:"Therefore bear fruit in
keeping with repentance." Fruit in keeping with repentance,
means to be holy, to sin no more. John the Baptist warned, he said:
"The axe is already laying at the root of the trees; there for
every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into
the fire'" It's not a matter of changing your mind, it is a
matter of SIN NO MORE, be holy, be righteous. Jesus Christ is coming
to judge the world and therefore John warned, he said:"His
winnowing fork is in His hand and He will thoroughly clear His
threshing floor, and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He
will burn the chaff with unquenchable fire." The wheat is those
true followers of Jesus Christ, who have repented, who bear fruit of
repentance. The chaff are those who do not bear good fruit, do not
bear fruit of repentance. They never repented. It's not a matter of
changing your mind, it is a matter of changing your lifestyle, being
pure and holy.
Jesus did not say:"Go
sin less." He said: GO SIN NO MORE. Jesus did not say:"Go
lust less." He said:"You have heard that it was said, 'You
shall not commit adultery', but I say to you that everyone who looks
at a woman with lust for her, has already committed adultery with her
in his heart. if your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and
throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts
of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. If
your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you;
for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than
for your whole body to go into hell." Matthew 5:27-30. Repent
means to sin no more.
Jesus Christ did not say,
we are all sinners, or you are all sinners, like they preach and
confess in the apostate churches today. Jesus said:"Unless you
repent you will all likewise perish." We read in Luke 13:1 "Now
on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him
about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their
sacrifices. And He answered and said to them:"Do you suppose
that these Galileans were greater sinners that all other Galileans,
because they suffered this fate?" "I tell you, no, but
unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or do you suppose
that those 18 on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were
worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? I tell you,
no, but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. The message
is clear: Unless you repent, and stop sinning, you will all likewise
perish.
Do not believe what other
people say. Do not believe what the preachers say. Believe what Jesus
Christ says, because He is Lord and He is the final judge; He will
decide who will go into heaven, and who will go into hell. And Jesus
Christ said: That if you do not repent, if you do not stop sinning,
you will all likewise perish. Repent and be baptized, as Jesus
commanded, and ask Him for His Holy Spirit to come and dwell in you,
to guide you and to teach you, so that you can be born again, to be a
child of God; or else you will not enter the kingdom of heaven, you
will not have salvation. Have you repented? Have you stopped sinning,
or are you still on your way to hell.
May Jesus bless you.
