When people reject you

Politicians, public speakers and preachers are often very careful what they say because they do not want to offend the people, they don't want to disappoint their audience and sometimes they LIE because people want to hear lies.
If we speak the truth of Jesus Christ then we will offend people. People will reject us and they will persecute us. Jesus also said things that offended the people. He said things that caused His disciples to no longer want to follow Him.
We read in John 6: 66 “As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. 67So Jesus said to the twelve, “You do not want to go away also, do you?”
68Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. 69And we believe and are sure that Thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”
If we walk with Jesus and we serve Him and we speak His words then we cannot be people pleasers. We have to speak the words that Jesus tells us to speak and often people that have been with you for a long time, will be offended, they won't like what you say and they will turn against you and start persecuting you and you will find yourself alone with Jesus but with the truth.
If we are not wiling to accept rejection and if we care for the acceptance of people we cannot be disciples of Jesus Christ. We have to walk with the truth and speak the truth. If we walk with fire that fire will burn and cleanse us. It will also burn others and some will not like it.
Many people reject the truth. the truth is HARSH but if we know the truth and we accept the truth, the truth will set us free.
Jesus Christ is the WAY, the LIFE and the TRUTH. If we walk with Him and we speak His words we will offend people. We will be rejected but if we care for the approval of Jesus Christ we will not be affected by the rejection of the people.
Are we followers of Jesus Christ? Do we care for His approval or would we rather go with the LIE to be accepted by the people.
May Jesus bless you.
