DIE TO SIN

The Christian world has been brainwashed to think that you can live in sin. Many confess to be SINNERS. You cannot live for Jesus Christ AND live in sin. You have to DIE TO SIN before you can follow Jesus Christ.
The apostle Paul writes in Romans 6:1:”What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may increase? 2May it never be! How shall WE WHO DIED TO SIN still live in it? 3Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.”
We cannot life for Jesus unless we DIE TO SIN and we consider ourselves DEAD TO SIN. Therefor once we have committed to follow Jesus Christ we HAVE TO BE BAPTIZED IN WATER to publicly confess that we have DIED TO SIN and therefor we bury the old man of sin in that water so that from the water can arise a NEW CREATURE who follows Jesus Christ IN HIS LIKENESS, who becomes LIKE HIM, who lives FOR the kingdom of God. We cannot continue living in sin, we have to DIE TO SIN  before we can follow Jesus Christ.
Verse 5:”For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer live as slaves to sin;”

Many believers confess that THEY CANNOT STOP SINNING, it is because they never died to sin. They are not children of God, they are children of the devil and they cannot follow Jesus Christ because they are LIVING IN SIN and they are living TO SIN.

Verse 7:”for he who has died is freed from sin.
      8Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. 10For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11Even so CONSIDER YOURSELVES TO BE DEAD TO SIN, but ALIVE TO GOD in Christ Jesus.
      12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, 13and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”

We cannot live in sin. We have to consider ourselves DEAD TO SIN and present our bodies as a living sacrifice to Christ Jesus to LIVE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS.

Verse 14:”For SIN SHALL NOT BE MASTER OVER YOU, for you are not under law but under grace.”
The grace of God makes us FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN.

Verse 15:”What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! 16Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that though YOU WERE SLAVES OF SIN, YOU BECAME OBEDIENT FROM THE HEART to that form of teaching to which you were committed, 18and having been freed from sin, YOU BECAME SLAVES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. “

Are you FREE FROM SIN? Are you a slave to righteousness or have you not yet died to sin? Because then you cannot follow Jesus Christ. We have to DIE TO SIN before we can live for Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God.
Paul writes in verse 23:”For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” If we sin we must die. Jesus Christ GIVES eternal life to those who OBEY Him. We cannot EARN eternal life. We have to DIE TO SIN and then LIVE FOR JESUS CHRIST and He will GIVE us the gift of eternal life.
