OBEY Jesus Christ NOT the Law and the Prophets

Most Christian believers are uncertain as to which part of the Bible they must observe, the
Old Testament or the New Testament. Salvation is through faith in and
obedience to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way and He gives
eternal life to those who believe in Him and therefore obey Him. As
Jesus also said, and we read in Luke 16:16 "The Law and the
Prophets were proclaimed until John, ( John the Baptist) since that
time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached and every one
is forcing his way into
it."
The gospel of the kingdom
is the words of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the king of the kingdom
of God, and the only way to inherit His kingdom, to become part of
His kingdom, is to accept Him as our King, our Lord, and our Master
and to obey Him, to serve Him, and He gives salvation to those who
obey Him. The words of Jesus, His commands, His instructions, that He
preached and delivered, as they are also recorded in the gospel,
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, those are the words of eternal life. If
we do not obey those words, the words of Jesus, we will perish. If we
accept Jesus Christ and obey His words, repent and are baptized in
water, and live as H commanded, then He will reveal Himself to us. He
will give His Holy Spirit in us to guide and teach us. We will know
Him for real. The words of Jesus are the words of eternal life.
The law of Moses and the
prophets could not bring salvation. The penalty of disobeying the
Law, was death. There was no room for repentance, but Jesus Christ
brought grace and mercy. Every sinner that accepts Jesus Christ and
obeys Him, who repents and is baptized in water, every such person
receives grace and mercy. His sins are forgiven and if he stays with
Jesus, does not return to his sin, but follows and obeys Jesus,
serves Him as Lord and Master, then he becomes part of the kingdom of
God, and if he endures with Jesus until the end, he has the hope of
eternal life. Observing the Law of Moses and the prophets does not
lead to eternal life.
We cannot serve two
masters. Either we serve and obey Jesus Christ or we jump around
between Old and New Testament and then we become deceived and
confused. The writings of the Apostles in the New Testament, the
letters of Paul, Romans Corinthians, Ephesians, Galatians, the
letters of Peter and John, the book of Revelation, all of those point
back to Jesus. The Apostles preached Jesus Christ, His gospel,
nothing else. The words of Jesus are the words of eternal life. We
have to obey Jesus Christ to have life. Jesus Christ gives
understanding to those who follow and obey Him, who receive their
guidance from Him and they understand that they can only serve one
master, and that is Jesus Christ. Jesus gives them understanding of
the Scriptures because Jesus Christ is our only teacher. Jesus Christ
gives them understanding of the Scriptures and they are not confused,
because Jesus Christ is the final authority. Those who disobey Him
will perish.
We have to obey the words
of Jesus and be led by Him, be led by His Holy Spirit that He gives
to those who obey Him, to know the truth and to walk in truth and to
gain understanding. There is only one way to have eternal life and
that is obey the words of Jesus. Obey Jesus Christ, seek Him with all
your heart and He will reveal Himself to you. He will teach you and
He will guide you and you will not be confused because you will be
serving and following the Master. Go and read the words of Jesus in
the gospel Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Pray, obey Him ,repent and
be baptized. Seek Him with all your heart. He will fill you with the
Holy Spirit and He will give you understanding and you will not be
confused any more. The words of Jesus are the words of eternal life.
Man will not live from bread alone but from every word that proceeds
from the mouth of God. Jesus guides His sheep. Those who are being
led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God, and they have
understanding of the kingdom of God. You only get that understanding
when you obey Jesus and you seek and follow Him. He will guide you
every step of the way until the very end. Without Jesus we can do
nothing. Read the words of Jesus in the gospel Matthew, Mark, Luke
and John. Obey Him, repent and be baptized, be filled with the Holy
Spirit and Jesus will give you understanding and then you will
understand the rest of the scriptures.
May Jesus bless you.
