Trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ cannot save you

When Jesus Christ was
crucified, He hung on a cross and He said:"It is finished,"
and then he gave up the ghost, because he had finished the work that
the Father had sent Him to do. He did not allow anything to stop Him,
to deter Him from accomplishing the will of the Father.
There is a false gospel
being preached that believers must only trust in the finished work of
Jesus Christ for salvation. That is a lie.
Jesus Christ calls us to
overcome, just as He overcame. He calls us unto discipleship, to turn
away from our own senseless existence, to turn away from sin, and to
follow Him; to take His yoke upon us, to pick up our cross every day
and follow Him until the very end, to overcome. To overcome sin, to
overcome temptation, to overcome the world. Jesus Christ calls us to
follow Him in order that we will overcome.
We will all stand before
the judgment throne of Christ and we will give account for our works.
He will reward every man according to their own works. We cannot
trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We will be judged by our
own works good or evil, and Jesus will reward every man according to
their works. Those who rejected Him and went their own way, and
followed after the desires and the pleasures of sin, will perish, but
those who denied themselves and followed Jesus Christ and overcame,
will win the prize of eternal life. They will have the honor of
entering His kingdom.
He is calling us to
overcome, not just to believe in His finished work and what He did.
He calls us to follow and obey Him. The gospel of Jesus Christ is
about discipleship, discipline, submitting ourselves to Jesus, to
follow and obey Him and to endure with Him until the very end.
Without Jesus Christ we can do nothing. Jesus Christ commands us to
repent t of all sin and all ungodliness, to live holy and righteous,
to be baptized in water and to follow Him, to be filled with the Holy
Spirit, to be led by the Holy Spirit and to do that for which He
called us; to complete the course that He has set before us. And we
have to overcome, we have to follow that course and walk the path
which He guides us, until the very end, in order for us to complete
the works that He prepared for us to do.
The gospel of Jesus Christ
is not about returning to the law of Moses. It is about submitting
ourselves to Jesus, obeying His commands, submitting ourselves to
Him, following and obeying Him until the very end, and to overcome,
so that we can receive the prize of eternal life, and inherit his
kingdom, to be with him for eternity. There is only one way to have
eternal life and that is to follow and obey Jesus Christ, and to
endure with Him until the very end.
May Jesus bless you.
