Being NICE is not being a follower of Jesus

Being a follower of Jesus Christ does not mean being a nice person, it means being OBEDIENT to Jesus Christ and being pleasing to Him in everything that we do even though we will offend other people at times. If we follow Jesus Christ we will be hated by all men, we will be rejected, we will be persecuted. People will be offended at us because they were offended at Jesus. If Jesus Christ is in us and His words are in us people will not like us, especially sinners and sinning Christians will hate us, they will not tolerate us because we will speak the truth.
Being a follower of Jesus Christ means being disciplined and it means that we discipline our children. We do not just let them have their way. We don't give them what they like, we give them what God wants us to give them, that includes discipline. That includes teaching them to OBEY Jesus Christ and to submit to authority. If we ourselves do not submit to the authority of Christ then we cannot teach others, to be disciplined and OBEDIENT to Him. We have to obey Jesus Christ in all things and teach others to do the same. That is what is required of a disciple of Jesus Christ.
It is not enough just to believe in Jesus, we have to OBEY Him, obey His words. Jesus said:”Why do you call Me Lord, Lord and you do not what I say?” If we love Him we will obey Him. If we disregard Him then we reject Him, we deny Him and He will deny us. If we follow Jesus Christ we will be LIKE HIM and like Him we will be rejected by this world. We will not be NICE people, we will be HOLY and RIGHTEOUS, the LIGHT OF THE WORLD and the SALT OF THE EARTH.
To follow Jesus Christ is not NICE but it is the only way to have eternal life. We cannot seek the acceptance of people AND the approval of Jesus Christ. If we are acceptable to Jesus then we will be rejected by this world. Are we seeking the approval of Jesus or the acceptance of men?

May Jesus bless you.

  1. That's very true because people can be nice to other. They don't believe Jesus Christ.
