If you want eternal life you have to
follow Jesus Christ and obey His words, not the words of men. In the
Bible there are many words of men but the words that Jesus spoke are
also recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The words
of Jesus Christ are the words of eternal life.
People like to quote Paul and Peter and
other scriptures but the only words that can save us are the words of
Jesus, not the words of these men. Jesus said:”These people honor
Me with their lips but their hearts are far away from Me. It is in
vain that you honor Me teaching as precepts the commandments of men.”
It s in vain that you quote those things that other people wrote and
what they say, what the Bible says and what the preacher says. If it
is not what Jesus said then it is all in vain.
We can only be pleasing to Jesus if we
LISTEN to Him, if we OBEY Him and do what He commands. Jesus Christ
is the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE. If you do not obey Him you
will perish. Jesus Christ is LORD, serve Him, honor Him and obey Him
or you will perish.
